A record number of Israelis are leaving Israel because they are 'tired' of war. They are moving and travelling to Southeast Asia,parts of Europe and Latin American to unwind after participating in war crimes against Palestianians. A significant chunk of them are Ex-IDF soldiers (upto 70% of the Israeli population) who committed war crimes back home.

An Ex-IDF soldier Eitan Gilboa who demolished home and murdered Palestinian family in Gaza was found vacationing in India. Unfortunately he fled India.

I feel like screening Israeli tourists who participated in the war and committed war crimes, and subsequently banning them, is the least we could do to put diplomatic pressure on Israel. What do you think?

Hele kapitell 4 er den sykeste delen av loven. Der det offentlige, fagforeninger og bedrifter blir pålagt å kontinuerlig øke de opphøyde gruppenes stilling. Ikke bare er utlendingene i Norge fra land der de selv har opplevd å ha privilegier, på minoritetenes bekostning. Når de kommer hit sikrer loven at de minst skal ha like gode jobber, lønn osv. som nordmenn. Så først diskriminerer de i hjemlandet sitt, så kommer de hit og blir gitt alt opp i nevene.

Hele loven er et orwellisk mareritt, som forvirrer alle involverte. Arbeidsgivere er trolig livredde for bøter og straff, om de ikke hyrer inn minst like mange utlendinger som deres andel av befolkningen. Uansett om majoriteten kommer hit uten utdanning og ikke kan ta komplekse jobber. Da får norskfødte og de ressursterke innvandrerne en enorm fordel. De har en kvote på 20%, men det er bare et fåtall av egen gruppe som kvalifiserer. Selv har jeg sett dette tusen ganger. Utenlandsk ættede som har irrasjonell selvfølelse, fordi de selv tror at de fortjener alt de har fått opp i nevene.

Det er et rart land vi lever i og enda rarere folk som styrer oss!

Rockstar entnimmt ca. 200 Autos aus dem Online-Modus, steckt sie hinter eine Paywall; zerstört das faire PvP, nur um die Leute zum Kauf von Sharkcards zu drängen; erhöht Ingame-Preise ins Unermessliche und löscht nachweislich immer wieder Geld aus Unternehmen und trotzdem geiern die Leute auf GTA 6 als wäre nie was gewesen.

Bin es nur ich, oder gibt es da draußen Menschen, die meine Kritik nachvollziehen können oder evtl. sogar gleicher Meinung sind?

Imagine que o preço normal de um imóvel é de 100 mil reais e o governo decide subsidiar em 20% para que as pessoas consigam comprar. A construtora, que tem contatos no governo, ouve esse rumor e decide aumentar o preço para 120 mil — com o desconto do governo, fica 96 mil para o beneficiário. Todo mundo feliz, não é?

Só que o governo, mais precisamente nossos impostos, está pagando 24 mil reais a mais por imóvel financiado. E se você não faz parte do MCMV, terá que pagar 120 mil. Resumo: imóveis mais caros.

Além disso, os prédios estilo comunistão são ruins de se morar, têm vizinhos demais e isolamento acústico precário. Ou então são aquelas moradias populares que parecem um mar de casas iguais.

A maioria dessas moradias são construídas em áreas distantes dos centros das cidades, acarretando em falta de serviços publicos, criminalidade, aumento do trânsito e maior tempo de deslocamento entre casa e trabalho.

E para piorar, muitas construções são em áreas de preservação ambiental, que as construtoras dão um jeitinho com as câmaras municipais e prefeituras para conseguir a outorga e constróem assim mesmo.

Been doing P2P lending on LendenClub for a while now and just crossed 315 closed loans. Thought I’d share my numbers since I keep seeing the same “is P2P worth it?” / “P2P is a scam” discussions but not much actual data.

My closedd loan numbers:

• Principal lent: ₹3,06,250
• Total received: ₹3,33,663
• Interest received: ₹36,332
• NPA: ₹8,919
• ANR: 24.77% p.a.

I currently have 122 active loans as well. Around ₹1,04,500 was lent across those and ~₹92k is still outstanding. Been getting repayments fairly regularly so far.

I usually keep the ticket size pretty small, mostly ₹250–₹1,000 per loan, and spread it out across as many borrowers as I can. I pick the loans manually and don’t use lumpsum for this.

It’s a bit time-consuming doing it this way, but I prefer having some say in which loans I’m actually getting into. Whether that makes a meaningful difference in the long run, no idea yet.

Anyway, just sharing because I thought the numbers might be useful to someone. Curious if anyone else here tracks their P2P returns/NPAs in detail?

Just to be upfront, I don't like paying for stuff. If you give me the option of either paying or not paying for something, I will literally always pick the second option unconditionally. So for me it's extreme piracy all the way.

What gets to me is people who treat piracy as a moral dilemma, that some things are "ok" to pirate while others aren't. Why should there be "justifications" for piracy? If you want it, just take it. You don't have to feel bad about it.

People don't want to be seen as "stealing" from people who "don't deserve it", but that perspective is entirely up to the person. If someone just doesn't care and wants to have the thing they want without having to pay for it, then they should do it without being criticized for "moral failing" or other crap from "morally superior" people.

You can go and support your independent creators without trying to make other people feel bad for not being as "upstanding" as you, specially if you're fine with piracy as long as it's done with big corporations or products with problematic creators or if the product is too costly. You can pick and choose while others just pick.

Allemaal wat mij betreft inhoudelijk geen zinnige argumenten, omdat ze niet ingaan op het fundamentele probleem van erfenissen: gratis geld door toeval. We belasten in Nederland op allerlei manieren arbeid veel zwaarder dan passief inkomen. Leuk zo'n waardestijging van je woning, maar je doet er letterlijk niks voor. Als huiseigenaar woon je er nog in, maar als kinderen die woning erven hebben ze nul komma niks gedaan voor al dat geld.

En voordat iedereen weer in de bomen zit: je kan ook zoiets als twee of drie ton vrijstellen van een hoge erfbelasting. Dan krijg je als erfgenaam nog steeds heel veel geld. Twee kinderen die ouders hebben in Amsterdam zijn bij overlijden van hun ouders samen ineens miljonair met niks anders doen dan wachten. Dat slaat helemaal nergens op en die mensen hebben een gigantische voorsprong op kinderen die ouders hebben die in een huurwoning woonden. Die voorsprong is dan zo groot dat het ook niet meer is in te halen.

Kortom: er moet echt wat gebeuren en dat is voor niemand met eigendom leuk. Het alternatief is echter nog veel minder leuk. Je krijgt dan namelijk een enorme splitsing tussen mensen met bezit en mensen zonder bezit enkel omdat hun ouders toevallig ergens een woning kochten.

Om de discussie eens anders te voeren: is iedereen het ermee eens dat passief inkomen waar je niks voor hebt gedaan een vreemde maatschappelijke figuur is die inkomen op arbeid verdrukt?

Waarom de erfbelasting niet sterk omhoog (boven een bepaalde grens of in stappen) en dan met dát geld de inkomstenbelasting omlaag. Dat laatste moet dus ook gebeuren anders schiet je er weinig mee op. Het lijkt mij echt veel beter en eerlijker dan het systeem wat we nu hebben en het wordt nog veel erger als we het zo laten voortsudderen.

As LLM capabilities have been improving at breaking paces this whole year, the anti-AI rhetoric went from the somewhat reasonable “AI makes a ton of mistakes and human will always be better” to the new take of “AI is all fake, nobody uses AI in the industry and it’s all just people lying, and companies like Anthropic and OpenAI are faking users and revenue”.

Of course nobody who works in the actual industry would take people like that seriously, but for the people on this sub who are not in the industry yet (either unemployed or still in school), posts like that are just downright poisonous.

For the anxious juniors and students who lurk on this sub, just remember that no matter what you wish for, there is only one objective reality. Just because someone is saying something that makes you feel better doesn’t mean it’s true.

No, I don’t know where the industry is going for sure (and anyone who says otherwise is either lying or just stupid), but AI is everywhere and their capabilities and usages are only expanding everywhere.

Maybe AI will cause mass unemployment or maybe it will usher in a new era of high demand for software engineers, again, I don’t know for sure.

And yes, AI is in a bubble, but it’s not going away. Just like the Internet grew bigger than ever after the dotcom crash.
