It's annoying when I have a YouTube video going to fall asleep to and I get flash banged by a white/bright screen. I like to pay a little attention to what's happening on screen while I doze off so it's nice when it's a darker screen that doesn't destroy my retinas when I glance at it.

I normally play it on my phone and even then it's super bright with my brightness all the way down.

I know I can turn off the screen on my phone or face it down but like I said I like to look at it occasionally as I fall asleep. I wish there was way to automatically dim or make backgrounds black.

Updated my iPhone yesterday, my alarms were silent for today. I’ve not been late for work in years at my new branch then the one time I’m back at my old branch where I was late a lot I am late again.

I checked into a hotel last night and when I arrived at my room, the door was already open and there was an alcoholic beverage in the bathroom. Clearly someone had already been in my room before I arrived. They assured me the room hadn’t been double booked or anything like that, but for peace of mind, I asked for a different room. This is the view from my window in the aforementioned upgraded suite.

My step daughter recently started calling me dad and sent me a surprise Fathers day gift this year. It just arrived in a double layered "fragile" labelled bag. Im both happy and sad at the same time.

I was just shopping at Target and left my cart on the side to go grab something real quick. I come back, and my shopping cart is gone.

I look over at the shelves, and someone took out everything in my cart, placed it all on the shelf, and stole my cart. How lazy can someone be to not grab their own? The shopping carts aren’t even that far away. There was also plenty, although it doesn’t mean it’s okay to take someone else’s cart if you can’t find one??

It also felt so rude to be touching someone else’s things? It may not have been paid for yet, but seriously who does that? My cart wasn’t blocking anyone.

Every popsicle i’ve had recently from Bombpops to Outsine, not a joke in sight. Maybe it’s just one brand that does them but I remember it being much more common as a kid. As a popsicle enjoyer, it makes me sad.

It pops up and will stay there until you acknowledge it even when I shift into drive. Kind of infuriating.

Our half bathroom mirror fell down due to the previous owners shoddy work. It was an insane 50 lb mirror/light/medicine cabinet combo only held up by drywall anchors & prayer. You can imagine a fully loaded medicine cabinet with a door swinging, aka slowly cracking away at all the drywall every time the mirrored door opens.

I'm trying to get a new mirror up, and spouse is driving me crazy with design philosophy "preferences". First it was the insistence on having a combination mirror instead of a simple unlighted mirror. I nod along, cuz it size & shape don't really matter to me( I'm so naive).

Second, the bathroom already has a light, so the mirror light is redundant. Didn't budge. I tell em that if you want a triple combo, I need to 2 studs to hang it. The tiny bathroom only has 1 stud. Didn't matter where I searched with a stud finder. Finally I gave up and drilled a series of holes. Confirmed it only has 1 stud, a cripple at that. So it goes from a simple spackle & hang replacement for $50 to some crazy meandering journey.

I spend hours looking up ways to hold up a heavy thing that rocks with only 1 stud. Come up with a French Cleat combined w/ a drywall togglebolt. Total pain in the ass. So I try to re-hang the old combo mirror, it would not accept a french cleat since the mirror assumes you're hanging it onto a screw head drilled into a stud.

I say fuck it, & toss the old mirror and start shopping for mirrors. Partner pouts about interior design bullshit, the stuff you hear from gay influencers in the big city. Blah blah blah, not that color or shape. Don't make the mirror bigger than the sink. That didn't sound like a big deal until I realized (after the 4th trip mind you) that these stupid sinks are all from big box stores, and they have standardized heights and widths. The smallest bathroom mirrors are 24 inches. So are the sinks. Took me days of catalog shopping and failed chats ('how about this one?' "Nope") before I realized how much these interior design tik tokkers have fucked me over.

I have a come to Jesus moment with partner, and I say your interior design bullshit needs to end. It's a dam mirror in a guest bathroom you barely use. Fuck the interior designers. All the trips to home depot & various furniture stores. We're not paying for a custom mirror. You'll take a costco mirror and like it.

Mirrors up now, took me 60 seconds to mount it. I'll wire it later if someone complains about the defrost function. TLDR make compromises or don't have a mirror for a month +.

We both have the default mindset of putting things to the side “to do later” or taking the easiest possible solution and eventually it builds up into what’s going on with the state of the garage

Then someone gets mad at the other person because they cleaned and the house is a mess again. Then the roles switch the next week. Endless cycle 😓

This is the THIRD time (sorry title is wrong) we’ve seen her do this. So who knows how many times she’s done it without us noticing?? We’ve caught her before but she keeps coming back. AND she literally brings scissors so she goes out the door to take roses from MY HOUSE. MY GOD are people shameless. Literally in broad daylight where everyone and our cameras can see. The last time we called her out, and yet she came back?? Also we did tell her to stop. Multiple times

it’s pouring rain and the bus only stops every 30 minutes. Even though it’s pouring rain, whenever I saw the bus was coming, I got out of the enclosed bus stop and stood right under the street lamp.

the bus passed me and while he passed me, he made eye contact with me. He then parked about 50 feet away, with his lights off, waving me over. Like I said, it’s pouring raining and I’m in a cane.

So now I get to sit here for 30 more minutes, soaking wet, waiting for a driver, hoping the next driver doesnt park 50 feet past the stop in the middle of the busy road

None of the other buttons control any other function on the fan. Pressing the right directional key will turn oscillation on but never off. have to keep getting up to turn the fan off or just deal with it or use roku app on my phone.
