5 pounds is literally the cheapest shirt ive ever heard of anywhere besides at like a second-hand store. Im sure that's a sign of the quality.

... but this still fits, I'd be annoyed too. Also i hope she wouldnt yell at you for this, thatd be ridiculous and it wont fix the problem. Its more a sign of poor quality materials than anything else.

There should be a spare button attached to your care label. It’s an easy repair and a really useful life skill - just need a needle and thread.

buttons are easy to replace. if there's not a sewing kit in your house, you can buy a needle and thread for very cheap. many shirts have a spare button on the inside, beneath the last real button of the shirt, but if that's not the case then you can often find them at thrift stores or buy a pack alongside the needle and thread

In Australia, uniform is mandatory on most days of the year in 99% of schools

I know they're also the norm in other commonwealth countries like New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. They're also the norm in all of Central America, South America, Africa, Russia, and most of Asia

Europe, the USA and Canada are the strange ones imo

Then she'll be like "oh haha I was expecting something expensive, but actually, comparatively, fixing a shirt button is very cheap"
