If offensive lines keep getting completely overmatched by defensive ones like we've seen in the past few years especially, how will that change how offenses operate?

So just theoretical, but assuming o-line play keeps getting worse or staying the same while we see more and more hybrid freaks on D keep emerging how will that change gameplay from an offensive perspective? Are we looking at a loop back to low scoring grind fests? Will big X receivers become more important with the ability to act as almost TE's in the run game to help? Will the option game become a necessity?

[Archer] Cowboys LG Tyler Smith is set to have surgery on his left thumb and will be placed on IR, which will cost him the first 4 games of the season. Smith has been bothered by the injury for some time and was trying to avoid surgery. TJ Bass will start at left guard.
