I've been telling anyone who will listen, the "Kraft is cheap" stuff was as much about Belichick as anything. It was how Bill liked to do business, and it was impossible to separate the two. Even before the Gonzo contract, if you've been paying attention, things have pretty clearly been different with the new regime.

From Doug Kyed on Twitter: Over the last 18 months, the Patriots extended themselves to give DT Milton Williams a four-year, $104 million contract, traded a first-round pick for A.J. Brown and his $29 million salary, and are now signing Christian Gonzalez to a record-setting contract.

Not to mention building a new, state of the art practice facility.

I have to admit, the Christian Gonzalez slander in this sub is crazy. The patriots and Krafts have pretty much brainwashed a large portion of fans into thinking spending money hurts the team.

Christian has a seasoned veteran agent. he knows the market, and what range Gonzo should be in. the insinuation that he’s asking for something unreasonable is crazy. his agent knows deals and how business is done in the nfl.

The krafts have a long and storied track record of not paying up when the time comes. why anyone would give them the benefit of the doubt on this negotiation is beyond me.

And no, I don’t want to hear “he has 2 years left and then can be franchised” that’s not happening. Its not how it works with star players in the league, for years, since the new CBA provision allows for extensions after the third year. At best, he’d play this year in his current deal and demand a trade, similar to Mcduffie.

People need to get a grip, he’s not playing out the rest of this deal and getting franchised.

I am planning to attend the Raiders game on Oct. 11 which is at 1:00

What time should I try to arrive? Where do I purchase/find parking?

I haven’t been to a game at Gillette since 2017 so I’m sure a lot has changed.

Edit: I will add the person I’m going with has a handicap placard so we would be open to handicap parking as well.
