That’s Kyle Brandt of the NFL Network making his prediction that Maxx Crosby will the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Brandt pointed to the trade that never happened as the latest motivation for Maxx to earn this honor.

“I don’t know of anyone who has ever played with that.”

So, one day late 2023 or something but I went out to the dumpster and saw a nike box. It said Waller #83, and inside is this big ol cleat. The photo is old, I don’t have the box anymore because we accidentally discarded it. Did some research and it was from his 2022 My Cause My Cleat. I remembered emailing his camp and they said like “We’ll take it and get it back to waller!”. Didn’t end up sending it. Im not actually giving it away, not sure what I can do with it though. I live in Vegas and Ive always been interested to know how it ended up in front of a dumpster.

As the number 1 option on the play, He then ran a go route-- with a very subtle hesitation to sell the checkdown-- completely burned his match up and caught a wide-open pass like a WR. He then easily does away with the safety who came to help on his way to a TD. 50+ yards.

Sorry guys, I love Mike Washington, but he's not doing that. Happy to have him as a backup so we don't overload Jeanty, but there's levels to this. Mike Washington has an RB1 ceiling. Aston Jeanty has a Superstar/HOF ceiling.

I'd give up a decent amount to trade up for him (even giving up Maxx if necessary). Dude is just special. As a former Cane I loved watching him last year and he's already broke the Canes single game receiving record in his first game this year. He might need to gain a little weight for the NFL, but this kid is gonna make one team very happy even he gets here.

The Raiders seem to be doing everything they can to do the right thing for Fernando Mendoza.

The next step to that needs to be making AOC the backup quarterback so that Fernando’s debut doesn’t come in the third quarter of a random game because Kirk Cousins rolled an ankle.

And I’m not the only one who feels that way.

David Carr made that case on the Carr Brothers recent podcast “Home Grown”.

“What if they put AOC as the second (string)? And then they protect Fernando from even being in that situation.”

Derek Carr, who started from day one for the Raiders — and lost his first ten games — is on board with giving Fernando the time to sit and watch.

“If you have made a decision as an organization to redshirt the kid, then do it.”

There are 9 players on the defense that would start on most any other team at their respective positions.. 5 or 6 on offense.. Do you agree?
