With a new head coach and new weapons in hand, can Todd Monken and Deshaun Watson lead the Browns to a Week 1 victory? Or will the Jaguars claw back and send the Browns to Tampa and Baker Mayfield 0 and 1?

All-Time Points Scored: Jacksonville Jaguars 447, Cleveland Browns 329
Active players who have played for both teams: Tyson Campbell, Browns (Jaguars 2021-2025), Eric Murray, Jaguars (Browns 2019), Daniel Thomas, Browns (Jaguars 2020-2024), Quincy Williams, Browns (Jaguars 2019-2020)
Home vs. Road Trends: The Jaguars enter Week 1 as strong home favorites at EverBank Stadium after a dominant 2025 campaign (13-4 overall, 7-2 at home) that included an eight-game regular-season winning streak and an AFC South title. Jacksonville thrived in familiar surroundings last year and opens as roughly 8–9-point favorites. In contrast, the Browns are on the road to start the Todd Monken era after a difficult 5-12 season in 2025, where they struggled to generate consistent offense and posted one of the league’s weaker road ATS marks. Cleveland faces an early test in the Florida heat against a Jaguars squad looking to prove its late-2025 surge was no fluke.
Key Matchup: The Browns’ defensive front, now led by Jared Verse (acquired in the Myles Garrett trade) alongside interior pieces like Maliek Collins and Mason Graham, will look to pressure Trevor Lawrence and disrupt Jacksonville’s rhythm. On the other side, the Jaguars’ pass rush, headlined by Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, aims to exploit Cleveland’s rebuilt and still-young offensive line while containing Deshaun Watson. Jacksonville’s defense must also limit the Browns’ ground game, spearheaded by Quinshon Judkins (with Dylan Sampson in a complementary role), to keep the offense on schedule and protect early-season positioning. Cleveland’s young receiving corps (Jerry Jeudy, KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston) will try to create explosive plays against a Jaguars secondary that includes Travis Hunter.
Welcome to the Week 1 Game Thread! This is your spot to dive into all things Browns vs. Jaguars — share your predictions, discuss strategies, and let's figure out how to pull off an upset at EverBank Stadium. As always, keep it civil and follow r/Browns rules. Let’s hear your takes, r/Browns!

Discussion I took the Garrett canvas down in my man cave.
Against my own policy of not purchasing anything with current players, this was a fixture in my man cave for many years. Today it came down. Good move?
Edit: Thanks for the feedback I put it back up. Note: this wasn’t a move because I didn’t like Myles. It was always going to go back up, I just thought as I was making room for other Browns memorabilia for my watch parties, it would be better back up after retirement.

Discussion 2019 season what if
Seeing another fan post a painting of this incident and it got me thinking. Obviously Freddie Kitchens is a bum and we started off horrible. What if Myles never gets suspended? Do we have a winning season or go 8-8 then endure another year of Kitchens bullshit and never have our wonderful 2020 season?

New to NFL
Hey guys, so I’m new to the NFL. From Australia, genuinely only first heard of it a couple of years ago. It’s really been growing here in the last year or so, especially with the game here next week. I’ve been going back and forth with teams. There is part of me that wants to pick a good team (but not bandwagon) because the team I was forced to support from birth in Australian football has been the laughing stock of the league for my entire life. So trust me I do get you guys. However, there is still something pulling me to the Browns. Firstly, I think I like the uniqueness (to me) of the Browns with the logo and the jerseys. I also found this Cleveland Browns song on YouTube that I really really liked, it was sick as, can’t remember what it was called. I’m sure you guys know what I’m on about. You might be wondering why a song would hold any weight in this, but again in Australian football every club has a song, it’s our tradition, the song plays as they run onto the field and the winning team has their song play at the end of the match. Anyway, all of this to say, will the pull go away? Do I pick a good team or do I follow the pull? Even if it means following another team that’s gonna destroy me year after year.

Every Cleveland Browns Defensive Touchdown (1999-2025)
I created a compilation of every Browns defensive touchdown since 1999. This is through the 2025 season. Hopefully there are more to add by the end of the year.
It was easier for me to do it chronologically. So, if you're looking for more recent plays you can skip towards the end, but if you want to see the touchdowns as they occurred in order, watching from the start is the way to go.
Unfortunately, some of the videos are not the best quality due to their age.
Hope you are all doing well.
Buffs block kick to win, player throws helmet....Dwayne Rudd flashbacks had me for a min
There was no flag, but for a minute I was back on my friends couch in ohio asking what the flag is for before having my sunday ruined
Is Rudd a top 3 new-era Browns loss? I have the Bears / Jets 4th quarter meltdowns as locks
Also bonus Fernando's lil bro at QB for Georgie Tech

Josh Hoover - Indiana Hoosiers Quarterback - ESPN
Yeah… I’m a big Shedeur fan and if John Hoover isn’t the best QB out of college no way Shedeur is QB1 next year. Its the quick and accurate throws for me. I wish 2 goodluck i hope he is watching film and really works on his timing.

NFL executives rank the AFC teams from Mike Sando
Pretty bleak quotes from the executives on the browns
“They doubled down on toxic," one exec said. "I don't know how anybody can think they are headed in the right direction."
"I think their defense is not going to be good, and that quarterback situation is going to be a problem," another exec said.
"You didn't think the situation could get worse than Deshaun," another exec said. "It got worse. Sanders is not good, and the circus he brings is almost Tim Tebow-ish in a different fashion."
