Let's call a spade a spade. The president making stock trades is the definition of insider trading. NSFW

Upvotes

Words matter. Trump has specifically framed his equity purchases and sales in office as "trades", a half-truth. Citizens are allowed to trade freely. "Trading" itself is a neutral verb.

But the president is in such a position of preeminence, authority, and prescience that such a party would NECESSARILY be called an "insider". Privy to non-public knowledge or having the ability to influence a decision and profiting from that position is the TEXTBOOK DEFINITION of insider trading.

When Trump says his "trades" were being done for Americans, he needs to realize that those were fundamentally "insider trades" which can literally be referred for criminal prosecution. Just ask Martha Stewart

The US sailed a carrier group into the Gulf and they couldn't get the job done. NSFW

Upvotes

The Trump admin tanked the MOU and desperately needs a win. At this point having sailed assets into the Gulf and according to CentCom having applied "maximum pressure" what else is there that the carrier group could have accomplished that they didn't already try?

Even Jesse Waters got cornered on this failure and had no answer. An entire carrier group was forced to retreat from the Gulf and the swarms of Shahed drones. It was claimed that one carrier suffered a "laundry room fire" and had to turn around, which is code for "we got hit bad but don't want to tell our enemy and let them know they scored a direct hit on an aircraft carrier"

Centcom was told Iranian anti aircraft batteries were using WWII era radars and dismally crude munitions. Days later those same batteries completely down an F-15E and force a Stealth F-35 to emergency land. That's not air supremacy

They couldn't get the job done. Our patriots and ATACMS and JASMS couldn't get the job done. This is a strategic failure for the United States

A winter memory from our old home ❤️

With winter getting closer, my wife Samah and I started remembering how winter used to feel before everything changed.

She looked at me and said:

“Do you remember when winter was coming, and we used to make spinach pastries in the oven inside the kitchen? The whole kitchen would become warm. The smell of the food would fill the house, and we would just enjoy being together.”

She was right.

Back then, winter meant something completely different to us. We would stay inside our warm home, sit near the oven, enjoy the smell of freshly baked food, and feel safe from the cold outside.

Now, when winter comes, our memories feel heavier.

Sometimes we talk about those days and imagine what it would be like to have that simple life again.

We dream about rebuilding our home from the beginning. Not a big or fancy house. Just a small, safe place where our daughters can grow up, where Samah can cook again, where the oven can warm the kitchen, and where winter can once again feel like winter—not something we have to fear.

Maybe it sounds like a simple dream.

But after everything we've been through, having a home and starting our life again from the beginning feels like the biggest dream in the world. ❤️
