I had just moved to a new city, bought a new phone and phone plan, got my new number. Went to apply for a job at a restaurant that had outsourced their hiring process to one of those online services. The employee was nice enough to let me use her laptop to fill out the application form. After I left, before I even made it to the car, I got my first personalized spam text on my new phone. I know it was them because I hadn't even called my parents to give them my new number.
