Screenshot I will never emotionally recover from this...
Man, when she could barely even swing at the end... Idk how I'm ever going to replay the game if Sif is mandatory...

First time playing Dark Souls. I was really into the game the first couple hours. Went to the castle and rang the first bell. It was fun, challenging and somewhat linear. I got lost a few times, but found where to go naturally. Then I went beneath... I ended up in The Land of the Giants. I can't see shit and I have nothing to light my surrounding. I have no idea how to progress or how to get back. Are you just screwed or is there a way to teleport out?

So, I was cutting through darkroot basin, and I was running from the black knight, suddenly while its offscreen, I get the halberd. It feel off the cliff (presumably). Not complaining tho! :D

Is it a specific number of damage, a certain number of hits, both, something else? Because I just fought Priscilla and every hit aside from the ones to knock her out of invisibility visually looked to have hit her tail, but I never got the tail cut. For reference I was using the Titanite Catch Pole. First hit to start the fight was also hitting the tail. Is this just a hitbox issue where my attacks were hitting the main body instead of the tail, or does doing too much damage per attack make the boss die before the tail can be cut?

Came back to the game after a long break. Back then I used to play str or qual builds. So this is how I started, with Claymore, even I love this weapon, right before the end of the game I got bored. Then I wanted to try spells that I never played, and o man they are op (melting Artorias, and most of the bosses for that matter, did not feel right though), so again dropped at the end game. I am not good enough (at least yet) to do SL1 challenge, I went with something easier for me, which some may consider for their playthroughs, as I see there are still posts from newer players showing up. Whole point was not to overlevel, as I wanted the next game cycles, to have some purpose, as there is almost no point (at least for me) to go into higher cycle as a lv100+ monster, so I went with arbitrary LV50 for NG. Went with dex with splash of int.
Class: Wanderer
Vit: 22
Attn: 12
End: 20
Str: 10
Dex: 35
Int: 14
Weapons: Falchion +15, Uchi +15, Great Scythe +15, Long Bow +14, Ricard's Rapier +15, Fully upgraded pyro flame, Oolacile Ivory Catalyst
So, yeah, lots of weapons, but I like to use them situationally, Falch and Uchi were carrying most of the game, Uchi usually for boss fights, and Falch for areas. Great Scythe was pretty niche - like dealing with pitchfork scarecrows. I did a bit of wraith farming to get chunks and got 1 slab in the process. Ricard's, mostly when I was going for parry or backstab. I also never move without ranged option, not dealing with Sen's bullshit, hence the longbow. Spells were utility only, love Hidden Body especially with wheel skeleton bullshit, or cast light in tomb. I ended up not using pyro almost at all but power within came in very handy for Manus (he beat my ass for way too many times as I was re-learning the fight).
Now at NG+1, and decided to give myself another 30 levels, in Anor Londo, and char leveling for this cycle is already done. Sitting at: Vit: 30 Attn: 14 End: 30 Str: 14 Dex: 40 Int: 15
Anyway, just wanted to share, maybe someone will like it and do something similar. Intending to go beyond, just will need to think of what the next char upgrade steps will take. Also already thinking of no stat scaling weapons run and pump vit and end as much as I can and see what comes out of it :) Do you have other ideas that are not too crazy, but may be fun?

Hello,
After almost three years I've restarted an old save. Was right in front of Manus' arena; fought him and won first try (well, probably he defeated me over and over again in the past but I don't remember).
So I discovered that there are only two more bosses left in this save: Kalameet and Gwyn. As Gwyn ends the game, I've headed to Kalameets arena and I just can't remember how do I beat this guy.
I'm doing a magic build. My gear is Logan's Catalist, Ascended Pyro Flame +5, Channeler's Trident +5, Grass Crest Shield +15, Crown of Dusk, Ring of Steel Defense and Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.
My spells are Power Within (obviously), Crystal Spear (4 casts), Heavy Soul Arrow (36 casts), Great Chaos Fireball (4 casts).
I was using Homing Crystal Soulmass and Darkbead previously, but was being punished for buffing (PI + HCS) and Darkbead was not giving the punch I've expected it to deliver. HSA gives me a reliable casting in speed an range, despite the low damage output.
I just wanna ask for tips. What are the best moves to punish? Is it better to stay close or far away? Better direction to move? Should I dodge towards him or away from him?
I'm not having any problems with Stamina management, so I've decided to keep the Mask of the Child and Chloranthy Ring out of my character - worst case scenario I can consume a Green Blossom.
Thanks.

I found a key to something after killing the capra and later killed the bell gargoyles (both were annoying) and later i found myself lost so I went back to firelink and saw a blue orb on the roof of praying site ig? I reached there using that elevator and went from the side path only to find that it's some key which leads to east or west (don't remember) of which it's another key i already had. Now I cam back the two thief place and found a door called depth. Should I continue there or is it like way overpowered rn for me. Also i found valley drake and saw two massive dude's so i came back. Which one should I progress for now.

I’m playing DS1 on XB1 this is my first souls game, started 4 days ago and have gotten to Sens Fortress and to say I have poorly invested my levels is an understatement. I would greatly appreciate is anyone could help me out please, I can’t figure out the dupe glitch, and I’m losing interest.

I want to do some more challenges and I got some ideas and some that failed like beating the game with no bosses defeated except Gwyn but I forgot you needed the lord vessel to wrongwarp into klin.
I want to hear some challenges from yall. Give me some interesting ones or anything ur curious about.
Curious as in im making a video about all the hidden messages you can find by devs, by using seek guidance magic.
Rn my first video will be about fiat weapons only

So, I've been trying to get another newer player to fall in love with dark souls but the toxic , built for pvp players have been very discouraging. It's not like the old days, where red spirits were honorable and sometimes even friendly. Now it's just cheaters who glitch and steal humanity . I have to teach new players how to cheat from the beginning to even have a chance. Git gud scrub doesn't even apply anymore. It's turned into a cheater free for all. Very sad.

I just bought Dark Souls Remastered because I heard it was the easiest in the Souls series and this game is not easier than elden ring because how are you going to tell me that there is no sight of grace after beating the first boss? I didn't want to turn all the way back around because I thought there'd be one close by and nope. Walked on this bridge and a dragon killed me and out of nowhere. Is there a shortage of sight of graces or somthing? I'm about to go buy the dlc for elden ring and come back to this game later because I am lost for words. I love this game but man that sure as hell pissed me off

For context, my best friend has been wanting to do Dark Souls for the last two months, but he’s overwhelmed by just how long the lore videos tend to be on it. So, I need a comment that can summarize the entire lore in a least a paragraph so I can pull up this post for whenever I need to summarize the lore as fast as possible.
This is the one I’ve been on for awhile: “Fire, bad; darkness, good!”
Thank you in advance!
