I was finally able to beat her second phase after so many tries and was so relieved. But I didn’t get any boss defeated message on the screen and the guy, father ariandel kept saying something. And then there’s this black flame and SISTER FRIEDE IS RESPAWNING!!!! Unbelievable. Any tips for the third phase?

Currently trying to kill pontiff and my build is absolute shit and I deal no damage, I really do not want to restart. My build is black blade +7 (stats in attatched image) I'm horrible at parrying and I've been just rolling to kill bosses but my damage per hit is so bad that when I'm even able to get a single hit in it literally does almost no damage. Am I just bad or am I missing something?

I lost my souls to this… 1st time playing this game (love it)

After playing dark Souls 2 i went directly to Elden Ring after quit DS3 because Of a bug NPC mision. After defeated ER I tried Dark Souls 3 for the first time.

The first soul I went to Ng+3. I loved the bosses, fights, the Maps and their cinnection, the perfect bonfire locations and the number of builds you can have Without feeling clumsy and old.

I started with a Bleed build which was so fun, in my ng+ i went through a quality build and in my ng++ i tried strength/faith build and was honestly so fun. Is the only dark Souls I wanted to have all sourceries, miracles, rings and Weapons in order to create as many builds as possible.

DS3>ER (talking about gameplay)

After so long i finally beat this dumb ass dragon, pestilence mist for the win, pyromancy forever!

Thought it would be harder to do this with the LKS because you have to farm it, but it really didn’t take that long to farm each attempt — and of the weapons I tried this gave me the closest feeling to the winblades by far. And it outclassed the other straight swords for leveled in my opinion. 110 crit is criminal.

How do I know what part of the game is the vanilla part seeing as I haven’t done this souls like before but have done DS1&2 or should I just go EVERYWHERE and just embrace the world as I get it?

Trying to get the platinum and need to start a new game to get some gestures and miracles. I still have to get some rings as well which include getting x amount of proof on concord kept. I've given 12 to the darkmoon lady. If I start a new game, will those 12 already be done and I'll need 18 more to get the miracle, or will I need start from scratch?

I like all the bosses in this game, even some bosses who many find less desirable I like, Greatwood has its own charm, ancient wyvern is unique, and half light, well, to be honest I haven’t fought him enough to have much of an opinion but I don’t think he’s horrible

Crystal Sage however is really the only boss that I have an actual distain for, for reference in my most recent playthroughs I’ve fought this guy with a miracle build and a good ol strength build, both of those times this fucker was pretty damn annoying to fight (albeit quite easier on my strength build)

first phase is alright, it teleports around and shoots either a a floating bomb or 5 homing missiles until you get to it, and once you start hitting the thing it runs like a lil bitch to the other side of the arena, it does this till you get it to half health. on my miracle build when I go up it’ll also just smack me with its wand which on my miracle build was annoying due to my own skill issue of struggling to dodge its attacks. (On my strength build it never tried that once)

phase 2 is basically the same but know 3-4 clones also spawn with it and you gotta figure out which one is which whilst going through bullet hell, quickly turning this alright kinda annoying encounter into a “gank boss” or sorts. Deacons of the deep are similar to some extent, but that fight knows It’s boundaries while this one is straight up unfair.

also, and this is purely my opinion btw, the items you get from its soul kinda suck, the only good thing you get from after defeating this boss is the big goofy hat (and getting to the cathedral ofc) also also, this fight does lose its value a bit once you literally fight the same guy in the archives in end game.

so yeah, likely a skill issue on my part tbh, but I do feel like this boss is unfair, even bosses like Nameless king and Friede who are hard as ever I can still say are rather fair, this Mfer is not.

I just fought Gael for the first time in my life and managed to beat him on my first try… Dude, what an incredible boss fight. I’m literally shaking right now… I can’t believe I actually got him first try.

I felt like the trick to avoiding him and that damn cape is to always dodge to the right. I also beat Midir today in about four attempts. Holy shit, I’m genuinely so fucking happy right now. What incredible fights.

I thought Midir’s transposed-soul katana was so cool that I decided to use it for my fight against Gael. Soul of Cinder is my next prey now.

Honestly, I have no idea how to decide which DLC boss is the best.

just a fun idea that came to my mind, thought I‘d share it

Lore: Goyric was once a scholar in the archives among many others, Goyric however had a particular taste for human flesh, killing some of his own fellow scholars to get to pleasurable food. Upon his secret being exposed however, he was beaten, maimed, and left to die in the sewers, stripping him of his title as scholar. 

He did not die however, he survived from scrap food flushed down the sewers and eventually becoming some sort of king to the rats that infest the place after going completely insane.

Boss location: found in the undead settlement, the large room with the ladder that leads to Irina of Carim. He’ll be in the middle of the room gnawing on a corpse until you drop down to his level. 

THE BOSSFIGHT

Goyric is an humanoid Npcs-style boss fight

HP: 3510

Phase 1: his first phase is pretty simple, you fight him and the 2 rats he’s accompanied with. He wields his dagger which does bleed proc and attacks like an npc, although he is about 1.3x faster than npc enemies (moves and attacks quicker).

Phase 1.5: upon dropping his health to 20% he will run off and crawl into a nearby sewer pipe to escape. Immediately after 10 + your NG lvl (caps at 7) Rats will spawn and start attacking you. During this Goyric will be healing offscreen, about 150 hp per second. The reason I say this is phase 1.5 is because after he gets to full health he will immediately crawl back out in his phase 2 form even if the rats are not dead yet

Phase 2: Speaking of which, Phase 2 Goyric is the same except now he wields a talisman that you can now use to shoot the “Gnaw” miracle at you and can now parry and riposte.

Boss drops: upon death he drops 2 items, his dagger “Goyric’s Candlestick” and the Saints Talisman, as well as 3500 souls for ng0. And after defeating him the shrine handmaiden will sell his “tattered robe” for 500 souls.

Weapon: Goyric’s Candlestick is essentially a reskin of the scholar’s candlestick with a few key differences. Its weapon art is now a  parry instead of a temporary light source, it has 30 bleed proc, and instead of boosting sorceries while equipped, it doubles your Current poison resistance instead.

Goyric is blind, so you can just jump down from the left corner and quietly hug the wall and you can skip the boss entirely 

The reason he hasn’t killed Irina is because he doesn’t want the smoke with Eygon

Hi, I am currently on my first play through of ds3 and did not know about a lot of the time sensitive encounters. It amazes me how we are even supposed to know how and when to do certain things without looking them up. So here is my situation.

- I met Anri of Astora and Horace at their initial spot.

- I saw Anri again in the catacombs twice but did not end up finding Horace in smoldering lake and never told Anri about his wearabouts.

- I did not know that you had to get the 5 upgrades from the Londer guy by a certain point and he died. I never met Yuri and am locked out of that questline/ending.

- I then saw Anri at the chapel and she told me that she did not find him. At this point, I went on to kill Pontiff on my own, NOT KNOWING about the pilgrim assassin located in the chapel where Anri was staying.

- I defeated Aldrich on my own and have progressed all the way to the Archive area in Lothric castle. I am getting fairly close to the twins boss.

So my question is what is even left at this point for Anri? Is she just dead? Can I still help her fight Aldrich in her world? Thanks for any feedback.

Well naked as in <30% loadout and no shield. Fought my way with rags and a blade in each hand to the very end. Beat that Souls end boss in my underpants. Bet he didn’t see that coming. I was Hollow to so not pretty 😁
