I was taking the train from chengdu to chuanzhusizhen to see jiuzhaigou, and we passed the most beautiful city roughly 45-50 minutes into the train ride. We had passed all the stops before the hour stretch to chuanzhusizhen. Many wide skyscrapers like dominoes painted red on the bottom half and yellow on the top half. A couple skinny towers follwowing the same color scheme. Does anyone know what city this is?

Is this an exaggeration, or is it actually like that in reality?

I don't have statistical data to back this up but over 3 visits to China I haven't really seen obese people and just overweight people are not that common. Junk food is very cheap and accessible in China, I believe even accounting for PPP it can be affordable for you guys.

I don't believe this is due to walkability, Europe is walkable, yet Poland has fattest kids in Europe. Is it fat shaming culture then? If yes is it that strong it makes people actually not get fat?

Whenever I see tourists from the West, mostly EU due to visa free policy, most of the time there's at least one big person in a group. Another anecdotal example is that when I see an overweight/obese Chinese woman it's so far every time a Western citizen of Chinese/Asian descent.

Hi everyone! I’m a Moroccan student currently studying Economics at university, and I’m trying to figure out my options for continuing my studies in China.
My plan is to complete 2 years of my Licence in Morocco and obtain my DEUG (Bac+2), then move to China and continue studying there, ideally in Management, Business Administration, or International Business.
I’m mainly interested in universities in Hangzhou, especially Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU), but I’m open to other cities/universities too.
Ideally, I’d like to:
Study in English
Have my previous university credits/DEUG recognized
Complete the remaining Bachelor’s requirements in China (I’m okay with spending 2–3 years there rather than necessarily entering directly into Year 3)
Potentially continue with a Master’s in China afterward
My question is:
do chinese universities generally accept a Moroccan DEUG/Bac+2 for transfer or credit recognition? And what universities r those.

Hello, I'm considering accepting a teaching role in the Xicheng District of Beijing. I'm in my early 30's so a huge bustling city appeals to me, but I see very polarizing reviews online of the city, and some people saying the city is depressing or too sterile, along with the complaints of being too spread out of a city and too cold. I am wondering, any thoughts on living there as a foreigner for your first time in China?

I've also looked into schools in Suzhou, which I know must be very different than Beijing.
