To be fair my hairline wasn’t super bad, bad enough I had to cut my long hair shorter to avoid seeing scalp. Then it just defied gravity due to having really fine hair and not enough weight left to hold it down.

I used to have long hair, like a metalhead. Now im content with this length, but if I cut it to short this bald spot will be very visible. Im at a loss at what to do next. Seeing the barber is just dreadful. Is it time?

I’m trying to start dating so I need to look good but it feels like it’s impossible with my features. I’m trying to find a good look but I have no idea what I can do with my hair. My density is good, they always comment on it at the barber

Im 31, im not ready to shave it all off yet but i know its inevitable at some point.

Being blonde and thinning/receeding doesnt help my case, all the men in family have gone the same way and have cut short but never fully bald

This is different, but good different, I think. With thanks to my girlfriend for doing the honours this first time. My dad pointed out birds will be using my hair in their nests all over the neighbourhood.

Went to the barber yesterday, and while I think it still looks okay considering the limited resources I'm working with, I'd like to get the council's opinion as well.

Does this still look passable, or would you recommend just biting the bullet and embracing my inevitable baldie future?

About a year ago, I tried a very short buzz cut (around 5 mm), but I didn't think it looked particularly good because of how much thinning there is on top.

What do you guys think, keep it for now, or is it time to accept defeat and go shorter/bald?

So it looks like I get bald at the crown. At least really really thin hair around a cowlick I got as long as I can think. I don't have a problem with going bald, but I want to make sure I do it right and not just because I see something that isn't there.

I posted about a week ago about wanting to cut my hair off, even though my hair loss isn't severe enough to require it yet. I decided to go ahead and try it out because I know it'll grow back anyways. What do we think?

Honest opinions, did I look better before or after?

I've shared before and after pictures recently after taking the council's advice and making the leap. I'm now looking for some advice from my bald brethren with sensitive scalps. What can I do to help clear the redness up? It's not sore or itchy but it's taking away from the new clean look.

Everyone tells you to make the leap, but they don’t warn you:
- That people will start looking at you again in a sexual/attracted way.
- That you will start matching with people on Tinder and receive Likes.
- That your confidence will come back so strong, it might swell too much.
- That you will start paying better attention to the rest of your appearance, like facial hair being groomed, wanting better glasses, new and better fitting clothing.

They don’t warn you that it’s a new life.

after dealing with horribly painful psoriasis i finally went bald! was this a glow up

This is just a little update(last photo is from the before times). Started shaving my head a few months ago and wow! My confidence has gone through the roof! A lot of people say it but you don't know until you do it. Honestly feel like a weight has been lifted. Also, I no longer fear wind and rain!

Had been very self conscious about my hairline for quite a while, finally went bald at the same time as my brother.
