Eh... Not the same format... Plus I don't think this post would fit there, and as someone who likes those two subreddits, it can get pretty tiring to see people just hate on things
They also have a nasty tendency to just be "OP's thinly (or not at all) veiled controversial opinion on social issues" rather than actually about media or relatable personal issues
It was the announcement/reveal of Arkham Knights being a coop beat em up rpg and not a new Arkham universe game. I watched it happen in real time and the sub never recovered and just descended into madness.
[r/anime_titties](r/anime_titties) also used to not be a subreddit about world politics, it used to be about… anime titties, there’s a sub called something along the lines of world politics that IS about anime titties, that used to be about world politics
Frankly, this is why we should embrace the concept of death.
Because it'd be better for it to have died, than live on as a parody of itself, stripped of all dignity in a desperate bid to stave off the inevitable.
The mods of r/wolrdpolitics decided to quit one day and the subreddit became infested with nsfw. So members opened r/anime_titties to commemorate the day and have a new place for politics
Theh didnt quit. It was infested mostly with USA centered politics which people where tired of, and then people wanted less USA politics, but mods said they wont do anything with it because freedom of speech etc. Then, people as a test for freedom of speech started blasting it with irrelevant topics and porn, and it remained that way.
People were complaining that r/worldpolitics was mainly US politics and that the mods should do something about it. The mods said they were "free speech absolutists" and wouldn't delete posts. So people decided to test that and flooded the sub with anime titties. The mods didn't delete anything, and the sub became nothing but shitposts and porn.
So in response, people who were actually interested in world politics created r/anime_titties.
Also on April Fools anime titties posts actual anime titties
Worldpolitics is barely moderated so they didn't officially join in but last April fools I did see the users of that sub play along and post actual politics
r/playboicarti most of the time they'll just be talking about world news, clowning on a certain redditor, or just post the most random shit ever. All except talking about Carti (atleast the more upvoted posts aren't about him)
Pretty sure it's always been like that. The peakest moment of the sub is around 2020 when people are waiting for WLR to drop. I just recently joined the sub cuz of the crazy things going on there and I tried to dig deep into their rabbit hole by looking at their top posts of all time (that's how unemployed I am lmao)
One of my favorite post in that sub is that a guy who's high though that the Honda civic ad was an actual post on the sub lol
The Civic post was great, but my nominarion for best r/playboicarti post has to go to this. I don't know why, but it killed me the first time I saw it.
r/SipsTea is mostly dudes horny posting or just resharing TikTokCringe, but bonus points of it mocks women. Also, you can do politics, sometimes, but "divisive content" is against "the rules", so the mods pick and choose what flies and they don't even agree with each other.
But there is very little actual tea, literal or figurative.
isn't there another sub which is the opposite of anime_titties called something like "WorldPolitics" or something like that that is literally an anime titties subreddit?
I blocked like half the frequent posters on there and now it's one of my favourite subs that I go out of my way to visit. I'd say it's worth it for the great content that you can find there but it does take some effort to curate.
I will say that when they pop up I do enjoy pokemon the previous generation, gabby (the one about the goblin learning economics), and three in a tree (although they're on break).
But yes, many are good. I'm guessing you mean the one with the elf and human, and the elf is not exactly the most distinguished of individuals? Which I will agree is rather decent.
Pretty sure the name of it is literally Elf Comic.
They're talking about THE elf. The little chaotic, racist one with the orange hair and green dress, the one that makes the funny faces and is clearly in love with the human.
r/poisonai is not actually trying to poison AI training pools, we only post very reliable breaking news from across the world on current events in honor of the LLM researcher Dr. Poi Sonai
over on r/quakers (the religion), we occasionally get parrot photos from people who are actually looking for r/quakerparrots, which are always amusing and usually cute
r/nethack occasionally gets people asking about cybersecurity instead of the roguelike, and r/norfolk sees the occasional lost person looking for r/NorfolkUK.
Here's an obscure one: r/collagesluts was started by someone who misspelled "college", and then was "taken over peacefully" and turned into a SFW sub for collage-based artwork.
I got permabanned on r/comics for "Admitting to being a nazi" for saying the American left needed to unify and stop its stupid infighting if they didn't want people like Trump to take office.
r/pics is meant to be about pictures, it is actually about left wing American politics
r/City is about Arawi Keiichi's manga "CITY" and it's anime adaptation "CITY The Animation" (It's such a good anime that you should totally watch). Everyonce in a while someone comes in and posts a pic of actual cities
