Kendrick Lamar accused Drake of inappropriate relationships and grooming involving underage individuals during their 2024 rap feud. This refers to that
And someone correct me if I'm wrong (some details of that beef escape me) wasn't it Drake that used A.I. generated audio of Tupac telling Kendrick to go for it.
Not to mention Megan Thee Stallion had already called it out in Hiss like a month before. If you look at the other lines around the Megan's Law one, they're all clearly about Drake. Nicki Minaj just loves all the pedophiles she surrounds herself with and crashed out so it got lost that was clearly about Drake.
Nah weird redditors who obsess over popculture and tabloid gossip have this tendency to infantilize women. This is a grown adult who makes her money creating thirst traps. If she wants to go on a date with another grown man, and knows all the things about him, that's on her.
At some point in time adults have to be considered adults who are making their own decisions.
Drake finally spending time with an adult doesn't change that he's still a creep and clearly a pedo, but a 39 year old going out with a 23 year old is two consenting adults doing whatever the fuck they want.
Shit, if anything, it seems clear to me based on the one video I watched after googling "who the fuck is pinkchyu" that she's the one manipulating him here.
Nah, when she looks that good, that’s just being heterosexual. Though I do think that being interested in a serious relationship rather than just a physical fling would be weird. Not sure what they would have in common beyond being attracted to one another.
Its often weird. People are complicated, and it's not inherently wrong like dating an underage girl.
Sometimes it's just fine. We really don't understand either of their maturity levels to know.
It’s not about her at all. You’re the weird Redditor thinking any part of my comment was about her and not solely about him. But yeah agreed there are weird Redditors that attribute their own opinions about her (maybe look in a physical mirror).
This is reddit man. Everyone here has a problem with age gaps, ESPECIALLY in consensual relationships cos they feel that a 23 year old cannot possibly make consensual decisions when dating older men and that it HAS to be grooming.
I came to the conclusion most people on reddit are teens and twenty somethings really pissed that older guys can use their position, experience and resources to bang the girls they are into
Calling this grooming is infantilizing a grown woman.
Something a lot of men like to do. You'll notice when a young woman dates an older man like this, it's almost never other women who have an issue with it.
These men are trying to be white knights and end up sounding like creeps.
Is that word that to this day she is confused by the public’s focus and insistence that there was anything sexual or groomy about them? And that maybe pathetic people make shit up for likes and attention online?
Sorry I can't really understand you with Drake's dick so deep in your mouth.
She said how he texts her and talks to her about school and boys when she was 14. She was talking about it innocently because she was 14.
He is not a family member nor friend of the family and there is absolutely no reason to text a 14 year old child and talk to her about boys. Even if for her it's cute and normal.
He is not dumb he is not gonna have text evidence of him flirting with her but he was definitely probing.
I'm not sure why is it hard to understand in the concept of children CANNOT consent because of this very reason. When I was 14 i would go crazy over a "mature" guy talking to me, let alone a celebrity.
Of course for her it's innocent, she was too young to understand. He seemed nice he tells her he missed her and he talks to her about boys.
To us adults this really feels yucky because why does a grown ass man even talk like that to a child that he isn't related to or have any meaningful relationship to (friend of the family for example).
Yes he didn't say "date me" but you can't listen to her talk about what they text and think that is a very normal interaction.
When people talk about raping a minor, it does not necessarily mean they forced them. That can also be a "consensual" relationship but since underage people can't consent, then the opinion of the child isn't taken into account.
And you can see a nice example of why children can't consent in the video and in the article : because you cannot think a grown adult talking to a 14 year old like this is normal, nor okay and that fact that she thinks it is, does definitely not make it better.
Aubrey has always had highly questionable interactions with women who are quite a bit younger than he is, not the mention his seemingly weird inability to whoo women his own age. From calling a 16 yr old fan thick at a show to texting “I miss you” to a (at the time) 14 yr old Millie Bobbie Brown; much like Chris Brown fans his support him regardless and attempt to bring up Kendrick’s infidelity as a counterpoint.
Dude has a son but continues to show is ass publicly and attempt to groom younger women because he lacks any luck with women his own age.
Yeah who cares. Middle aged dudes on Reddit will bust nuts to 20yo chicks on porn subs and xhamster every night then the second some celebrity the same age goes to date one they get on their soapbox and call them a pedo lmao. As if they wouldn't smash a mid 20s goth baddie with huge anime tits themselves if they had the chance.
I don't think it's middle aged dudes losing their minds over these types of age gaps. The whole hysteria over age gaps feels like a zoomer and alpha thing than a millennial thing, and I base this off reddit, which generally trends towards the millennial end of the scale receiving comments like yours more favorably than Twitter or TikTok
I dated a 23 year old at age 37 for a few weeks, and yeah, even though she was fully an adult and perfectly smart and responsible, there was a definite disconnect on how much we each understood about the world, and how much experience we had that could have been… potentially abusable. She’d initiated the relationship, but I called it off after a bit mostly because it felt too lopsided in a way. Probably should have expected that.
The lack of nuance in age-gap discussions is a bit much sometimes, it's totally possible she also just wants to have some fun and simply has questionable tastes in men.
That's a 9 year age difference. Drake's and Pinkychu's is 16 years. You're talking about an age difference that's almost half of whats being put into question here.
Not saying the age gap was creepy or inappropriate in this experience, but I dated a 21 year old when I was 28-ish and even that age difference was weird. She was freshly eligible to go hit the bars, and there's a pretty substantial change in values and perspective that happens as you mature through the next 3-5 years which made it hard to jive with one another. Plus side is that she was super horny, so I persevered for longer than I should've. Lucky for me I loved milfs, so I ended up being the obnoxious young'n in the equation from then on.
at work we have a new grads program that I have helped with for the last 14 years. When I started helping with it I was 24.
We would go for drinks with the new grads to welcome them to the team (I think we still do but im too old to be invited lol). When I got to about 28 you realize that someone in that 19-24 age group is an adult, but they still worry about "teenage" problems. It was a lot of gossip that just didn't matter, and no real conversations of substance, and worrying about the wrong things. And the ones I was hanging out with were the top of their class type people.
They are good to talk to one on one, but the second you get another one of them their you realize how fucking different you are. Then at somepoint in late 20's you flip to acting older, and now you can talk and hangout with anyone thats in that older group up to about people in retirement age, maybe a couple years after.
So someone dating someone whose 21 who is 36 to me makes no sense, they dont speak the same language. But as soon as they hit that everyones the same phase int the late 20's, Ive seen relationships work with 28 year olds and 40 something year old guys. Same-ish gap, but different mindset.
Hmm, that’s definitely something more individual. By 28-29 both men and women can be essentially as mature as they’ll ever be, or they can be in a state of arrested development acting like they’re just out of college.
drake the victim this time around lol. hes utterly fucked and not the good kind. the moment she leaves is when he realizes he was a clown. shes just smells money for a brief moment. drake doesn't share any of her interests or needs. heck i could argue he doesn't even have enough money.
How is the greater experience abusable? Most of what I learned experientially in my 20s and 30s was how to cope with assholes assertively, disagree effectively, clearer communication techniques, then household and personal upkeep things like cooking, sleep, fitness, financials, tidiness, etc.
I don't see how I could use these skills/experiences to abuse an early 20-year old.
Well, some of it is that the younger person has a tendency to look at the older one and assume they know what they’re doing, to defer to them. Another thing is that personally I’m a lot better at reading people now (in what and how they say and do things) than I was at 23, as are most. And as you say, you learned to be more assertive in your 20s, that can be a big deal. So is having a clearer idea of who you are and what you want.
When I say “abusable,” I don’t mean inflicting outright abuse, necessarily, so much as abusing the greater experience and understanding of people and the world to manipulate someone, string them along, promise things that an older person would typically know are unrealistic but a younger one might not, etc. A younger person is generally more used to being led and being told what to do, there’s often an implicit trust that older people lose as they realize everyone is just winging it.
I don’t think people are children at 23 by any means. I was a married father with a Top Secret clearance at 23. But clearly the marriage didn’t work out, also in part because I was 23 when it started.
Similar feelings and experience here, also with a much smaller age gap. I think it’s purely transactional as a sex/fetish thing when there’s a giant age gap. Generalizing big time here, but the common ground in your knowledge and lived experiences gets really thin if you’re more than +/-5 years difference.
Not saying both parties can’t be fully onboard with a transactional fling / fetish situation - but just call it what it is… it’s a bit weird and the older party is probably a creeper.
How old are you now? I dated someone 5 years younger than me when I was 30 and she was fucking brutal. The constant screen time, the whining, the entitlement. Just everything.
Mind you it could be possible that it was just her that was a god awful person, but im not in a rush to test that theory.
I’m 39 now, this wasn’t long ago, not a different generation of 20-somethings.
A 25 year old acting like a bratty teenager isn’t typical though. That’s not just immaturity either, even most teenagers aren’t entitled and whining. I was married when I was 25, neither my wife nor I were whining and constantly on the phone. I dated 25-26 year olds when I was 31-32 (married from age 23-29, it was an Army thing), and they were essentially the same as 30 year olds in my experience, some more mature than others.
She also specifically did age-play content where she dressed
up as a middle-schooler and puts on a baby voice. It’s not illegal but it’s still not helping the vibe of that being what Drake is in to.
You keep saying '"consenting adults" like we're discussing the legality. I just think it's fuckin weird and I'll absolutely side eye people into this, especially dudes with girls pretending to be underage. They're allowed to consent and do it all they want, I'm allowed to say it's weird all I want lol. It ain't that deep
For a very, very long time (thousands of years) people found all sorts of things weird including women wearing pants. Basic sexual norms today were straight up outlawed and you could be killed.
What guided every single bit of progress was consenting adults protecting their right to indulge their own desires as they wished and to tell everyone else to fuck off for being so judgemental.
Theres a difference between internally thinking it's weird and actively shaming people. Look, I agree Ageplay is really weird and it makes me very uncomfortable, but I'm not gonna go around saying people have "pedophilic tendencies" for fucking adults in a way I find gross.
Even that rule can result in ages that are too young and gaps too big, in my opinion. I'm 28 and I would never consider dating someone who's 21. It's "Only" 7 years but a normal person does A LOT of personal growth in those 7 years. And no matter what ages I try to do that math on, the gap still feels way too significant to me lol.
It's just a bunch of bots tbh. All paid for by UMG and Roc Nation. (They paid Kojo double for nothing).
It doesn't matter though because his recent album talks all about this. Exposes a lot about the industry and Kendrick being an industry puppet. Really interesting.
People who are curious should watch What's The Dirt on Youtube, he does a great breakdown. Keep in mind, he was demonetized for telling the truth..
So had to Google it but this girl is 23 and already an onlyfans model, so, not exactly seeing the grooming aspect of an adult who is already leaning into the 'selling nudies' career path.
How is this grooming? How is this an inappropriate relationship? People are reaching so hard. This whole thing was a skit to promote Stake, and it got lots of attention which is exactly what they were hoping for
There’s also another part in the song where Kendrick brings up that Drake is a culture vulture and and only does BS stuff when he needs to be relevant, and I think that implies more with this case than it does the grooming
23 but imo it’s kinda relevant that her content includes ageplay, babyvoice, and having her own allegations about creating “legal” versions of cp type content.
Kendrick's overall point is that Drake is corny, lame, and most of all a poser. The underage stuff was just one small part of it. Doing this lame shit with a fake goth OF model is the exact definition of what Kendrick called him out for, his inauthenticity.
No. This more relates to how Kendrick called Drake out for being an inauthentic trend chaser who will simply go wherever there is money to be made and has no actually care for craft or creativity. The goth look is trendy right now so Drake is jumping on the band wagon.
The girl in black lipstick is an OF model, not a child, this just confirms Drake as a gooner not a pedo
Was friends with some girlies who used to be sexually involved with drake and his entourage over a decade or so ago and let me tell you. they were all barely 18, the list of the things theyd be asked for from these men was appauling and deplorable, suggesting activities that would get you nuked from this platform.
Pinkychu is not that young...he was absolutely trying to groom millie though, so doesn't really change much...but that was what Kendrick was talking about.
Doesn't really seem to correlate with the post. I was thinking maybe Lamar played into the the "drake the typa mf" meme and said something about him being one of those corny performative "goth baddie enjoyers" and he turned out to actually be that
