Why does Coinbase not provide a real human being to talk to?
Unbelievable that you can't even talk to a real human being when you have tens of thousands of dollars on the line. Pathetic.

Hi all, just wanting to post here in regards to a question I have about identity verification. I saw the notice here
https://www.coinbase.com/legal/privacy/third-party-verification-vendors
It states that my Biometrics, pictures, and ID can go to any of those providers listed on the page. With Persona listed as one of the vendors, I want to be absolutely certain that my data does not go there.
Hitting on the button to begin identity verification kicks off API requests in my browser to Onfido (and not any other provider) - one of the listed vendors, however this does not guarantee that my data won't be shared with Persona unless I hear something from support.
If I do my identity verification in the way explained above, will it be shared with Persona somehow? Help me understand.

Support keeps offering sympathy, I’m not looking for sympathy, I’m looking for answers. telling me things that don’t make sense, having the same circular answers of non-answers doesn’t make me feel my money is safe.
Any advice on getting things to move, I’m reading horror stories, I really don’t have time for this, took 11 years for me to get ~15% of my holdings back, I’m not doing this again.

The predictions website is no showing my two open positions for SMU 2.5 points and over 54.5 points scored. Additionally, I'm not able to place any positions on your site, because it keeps asking for my financial details, but won't record them. This site is Whack!

So about 2 years ago my life was extremely exploited with a group of cyber criminals that pretty much hijacked my coin base account/ base account. Opened up credit card for buying crypto and caused me to create this post today. I have pretty much become super paranoid with any account that I create and been contacted by coin base once I created another updated email and phone number to confirm My suspension of different companies telling me that I'm involved in money laundering, etc but not really giving me the full details on what Is going on what stocks IRA and crypto I have left, Complete nightmare and honestly keeping a super low profile online and any data I have left. Reaching out to support on Coin base platform, where and how this got started was not reassuring that I can do and to submit a claim. How do I know I can trust them and who do I turn to that can help me basically move forward with filing a lawsuit suit for all that has been done. Please let me know

Funny this app is a total scam
Omni network went from 0.06 to 3.83 every site you can win this one not, never invest in to this
Even on the Coinbase app you can see it went up but my money is staying the same

I was on Michigan (Yes) vs Western Michigan. It was marked as a loss and nothing has been corrected yet. Support just says it's being investigated. Anybody else dealing with this?

Anyone else had Coinbase wallet verification fail and leave BTC stuck?
Wondering if anyone else in Australia has run into this, because I've been going around in circles with Coinbase for quite a while now.
I transferred BTC from my Ledger to Coinbase to sell. The BTC arrived in my Coinbase account, but was restricted because Coinbase needed me to verify ownership of the sending wallet under the Australian verification requirements.
No problem with that. The problem is their verification system doesn't seem to work properly with the transaction.
After a lot of back and forth with support, it appears the original BTC transaction used two source addresses/UTXOs and Coinbase's system was trying to verify the wrong address.
I've since done their small-deposit verification twice. Both times the verification was successful, so I've demonstrated ownership of the wallet twice, but the original BTC is still restricted.
Eventually support acknowledged that it needed to go to their "specialist team" for a more detailed review. I was told it was being treated as a priority.
Since then... basically nothing. I’ve followed up with them multiple times.
They seem to respond when I chase them, tell me the specialist team is still reviewing it, and then disappear again. I've also lodged a formal complaint with Coinbase, but that hasn't resulted in a resolution either.
I'm now at the point where there's literally nothing else I can do from my end. I've followed every instruction they've given me, successfully completed their alternative verification process twice, and the BTC is sitting in my Coinbase account but I still can't access it.
Has anyone else had a Coinbase wallet-verification problem like this that required manual intervention? If so, how long did it actually take to get someone at Coinbase to fix it?
I'm particularly interested in hearing from other Australian users who've dealt with the newer wallet-ownership verification requirements.

Looking for instructions on how to get my original Coinbase Wallet back before the big Wallet switch. Since then I can’t see my coins as the new wallet shows empty. Thanks for any real help sent my way. 🙂👍 Cheers

Is it just me or do others have the same issues? I’m regularly (once a day for couple of hours or so) not able to see my orders to edit/delete them. In every possible view I’m told that no open orders are in place. Closed ones I always see.
That’s disturbing AF! Why is that?

I've used CB since buying my first BTC on the platform in 2015. I've bought, sold and exchanged numerous times. I have tried over and over to add either of two different bank accounts over the last 2 months(!) with no success. Of course, I can transfer to a debit card for at $300USD fee. This is insane. They are clearly making it impossible to remove funds except for the method that they can charge an insane amount for. I sold my ETH because I could not get a crypto transfer to work (Something that I've done numerous times over the last 10 years); now a simple bank transfer is failing.
If the US government acted according to its citizens' interests, CB would be facing huge fines and be made to change.
I will NEVER use CB again once I get my $$ out.

At the moment the residential address under my account is correct but the legal address is outdated. Coinbase doesn't give me an option to change the legal address, only says "Your legal address cannot be changed", but I need to change it in order to match reality and to confirm my tax info before 16th of January.
The coinbase support chatbot only offers advice on how to change the residential address but doesnt answer how to change the legal one. I do not have any open case reference number as I don't know how to open a ticket and the chatbot is not helpful.

Coinbase no deja de decepcionar... me bloquean la cuenta, me dicen que debo confirmar identidad, lo hago y todo correcto, y aún así no desbloquean la cuenta durante un mes. Absurdo.

Hi Coinbase Support,
I’m reaching out here because I’m hoping your team can help move forward an existing specialized review that has now been pending for 13 business days without an update.
I have been a Coinbase customer for several years and have generally had a positive experience with the platform. When my account was temporarily locked for security reasons, I immediately cooperated with Coinbase Support and successfully completed the identity verification requested of me. My case was then escalated to the specialized team for further review.
I completely understand and appreciate Coinbase taking account security seriously. However, after 13 business days without any communication from the specialized team, I would greatly appreciate it if Coinbase Support could locate my existing escalation, confirm that it remains active, and alert the assigned specialist that I am still awaiting resolution.
I am not requesting a new case or a new review. I have already completed the requested verification and simply need assistance getting an update or resolution on the existing specialized review.
Case #27325492
Coinbase Support, I would sincerely appreciate any assistance you can provide in getting this reviewed. Thank you.

This is extremely disappointing, especially from a company the size and reputation of Coinbase. I have been a loyal Coinbase customer since inception and trusted the platform with my hard-earned savings and retirement funds. It is unethical having my funds restricted for approximately eight months without a clear explanation.
Please tell me specifically: What rule, policy, or provision of the Coinbase User Agreement did I violate? I have reviewed the agreement and want Coinbase to identify exactly what I did wrong and what I need to do to resolve the issue.
I am willing to provide any information or documentation required. If my account cannot be unrestricted, then please explain what options I have to access or recover my funds and what I need to do if I want to continue using Coinbase.
It is particularly frustrating that Coinbase classified my formal complaint as “partially upheld” due to poor communication and lack of timely updates, yet concluded that the matter was “resolved and closed.” After eight months of trying multiple channels without a meaningful resolution. This have left me feeling ignored and betrayed by a company i choose by closing other exchanges.
I am simply asking for transparency, a specific explanation, and a clear path to regain access to my funds. Please have someone provide a substantive response rather than another generic statement that my account remains restricted.

Has anyone with the Coinbase One credit card (not the old Coinbase debit card) had a merchant void/reverse a pending authorization?
A hotel voided a pending authorization through its payment processor. The transaction is still showing as pending on my Coinbase One Card and is tying up most of my credit limit. Calling CB, they aren't able to help much other than indicate it still shows as pending and they can't seem to increase credit limit or to cancel the pending. (They did escalte to supervisor and Tier 2 but it's still unresolved).
I’m specifically trying to figure out the actual timing from people who have experienced this:
I’m especially interested in hotel authorization holds or other transactions that were explicitly voided/reversed by the merchant, rather than normal refunds or credit-card payments.
Please specify if you’re talking about the Coinbase One credit card. I’m not asking about the older Coinbase debit card.

So wrapped assets are taxed or not? Coinbase does this when you give them your crypto for a loan.
The IRS appears to not know either so coinbase is not required to report but that doesn’t mean it’s not taxable. I have researched and there is no definitive answer anywhere. Haven’t gone to tax specialist but pretty sure they wouldn’t even 100% know either. Why so ambiguous and grey?
Why can’t we get an 100% answer from the IRS instead it’s ongoing research and we don’t know. So report and pay unneeded taxes or don’t report and them then deciding that wrapped crypto is taxable and hit you with a fine for not reporting years ago.
This is exactly why I am not doing a loan but really want to . I want definite clear rules and not have to guess. We shouldn’t have to guess or think it’s that or this. Extremely frustrating!

Hello.
May I know if Coinbase supports Malaysia? I signed up and used my Malaysian mobile number, but I can't receive the verification code.
