As the title says, I recently moved from Austin but grew up there my whole life. I now in live DC and having a reliable metro system is groundbreaking compared to driving.

What are some of the arguments against it. The Price tag can be reasoned with because of COVID costs. Lack of funding b/c of COVID causes back tracking, and the political nature of trains today.

Do we think Austinites are more mad at lawmakers or city council for failing because of lobbyists for cars. Or is it a case of

“Train bad, Diverse people on train. I like tech and cars more. I am wasting my tax dollars on this.”

And if we are mad at this, are we mad at the I-35 expansion and the continuous misrepresentation of the project - not adding trees or wide enough side walks on rebuilt bridges and rising costs on their end too.

Hoping you all can help provide some recommendations. I am looking to get a few zippers on sweaters fixed as well as having some t-shirts turned into tank tops. The few places I’ve come across are asking $25 per zipper replacement and I have a few so that price seems a bit steep. Do you guys know of anyone who can and is willing to perform these services for a more reasonable price?

A man in a red Speedo was walking around Barton Springs today fully erect while there were many children present. Just gross and inappropriate! It took someone complaining to a lifeguard later in his parade around the pool for it to finally be addressed.

I work out of the post office in Oakhill. I have been using Visible (which is on the Verizon network) without any issues for the past 10 months. A couple of days ago, I began getting dropped from the network: I lose all of my bars.

I am trying to figure out if this is a phone radio problem, or a Verizon network issue.

Has anyone else just begun experiencing issues in SW Austin with Visaible/Verizon cell service? Is your service clicking along without a hitch?

I read that there was a big outage in Houston yesterday, but it just started happening to me in Austin this morning. People are saying it's ATT Fiber related (which is my internet provider). Seems to work better with a VPN and/or hotspotting to cellular data but not super reliably.

Good thing my job involves sorting/tagging emails and Gmail and updating information in a Google sheet! Looking forward to auditing everything I've done today and possibly redoing a ton of stuff.
