Everything went black like night time for a half to a second, im working outside and the suns out nice and bright today but it went night mode i could see everything not just pitch black
I looked straight up but nothing at all in the sky

Hey all, a bit delayed but decided to try my luck here to see if anyone has seen these.

I purchased these two things from Kinokuniya bookstore as they were closing on their opening day, Friday (04/09).

I decided to take the train from Melbourne Central to Glen Waverley at around 10-10.45pm. The train was held up due to a medical emergency that was happening in the train car that I was in.

Thinking that the paramedics were going to take a while, I took my chances and took a Metro train instead to Flinders/Town Hall Stn, but as the train doors closed I realized I forgot to take my books with me. I quickly went back via the opposing train to Melb Central but by the time I got to the platform the train already left at around 10.30-10.35pm. With the patient just getting ready to be carted away by the paramedics.

I tried calling Metro Lost and Found, but they didn’t get anything reported. The items were last seen in a brown paper bag with the Kinokuniya bookstore logo on it.

The delayed train should have continued on to Glen Waverley. So if you’re in the 2nd car from the front, you may have seen this bag on a priority seating seat around the middle of the car.

I have my fingers crossed but I know it might be a bit of a tall order. I’m hoping that someone knows about it.

Hi gang, we’ve lost a beloved friend- red yoshi. We lost him on the 10:40am Hurstbridge bound train yesterday. Sunday morning. He’s 20cm tall.

I haven’t heard back from MTM, so making one last ditch effort here.

My son is beside himself, and it’s breaking my heart. I will order a new one if I have to but he will know it’s not him. He’s a really good boy, and he’s beating himself up for leaving him behind.

Was just doing some comparison shopping for car insurance and thought I’d stumbled across a great deal, almost a 75% reduction! Until I realised I’d accidentally selected a NSW address. Which sent me down a rabbit hole comparing quotes at different addresses, making me realise how we are getting absolutely rinsed down here. It’s insane!

A cursory look into the reasons seems to imply that it’s because we’re “overrun with crime” which makes me roll my eyes. However the stats aren’t great, car theft is popping off here. But nowhere near enough to justify 4x the premiums.

So wtf is going on? Is there any bigger explanation? Like… we’re hearing constantly about the cost of living crisis, and here’s what effectively amounts to a $1000+ “Victoria tax” on every car owner in the state.

Also, for the price difference to be justified by the rate of theft, one in every 15 cars like mine ($15k value) would be getting stolen every year. The maths just ain’t mathing.

So basically as the title says, I want to report someone for selling food from a food bank/charity.

How do I know it’s from a food bank? Because I’ve been homeless on and off for the past 4 years, and in that time I’ve been lucky enough to receive help from multiple organisations. (shoutout CoHealth!! real ones fr)

This person has multiple facebook marketplace listings for groceries and they are the EXACT same combination of products that get given to us from food banks.

The same Vetta pasta, Auspride milk, SPC baked beans, Chefs World long grain rice, Leggos pasta sauce + more. As someone who’s had to live off of groceries from food bank, you just know.

Now since I don’t know exactly which charity this person is getting their food from I thought I’d start at calling Food Bank directly. There’s not much they can do from the sounds of it as they have so many charities they help which makes sense.

CoHealth will be my next call, but is there somewhere else I should be trying to contact? Please lmk! Can’t stand this scummy pos behaviour. Thaaaanqqqq

Hey guys, long story short I have a small storage unit which contains mostly furniture, garden tools and some small number of personal items which can't be sold/given away.

What captain hindsight tells me I should have done, was to do a garage sale, sell them etc to clear it out, but instead I have all these things in a storage unit, and the monthly storage costs are bleeding my wallet. A lot of it's Ikea furniture too 😑 so it really doesn't justify the ongoing costs.

Had I catalogued them by taking pictures I could have easily listed them on fb marketplace/gumtree. Instead I have a full unit which would take a shit tone of effort to take each of them out, take individual pictures and list them for sale, or even give out for free.

How should I clear things out? I know there are deceased estate services, but I just wanted to hear from the community to see what approach I should take.

Our daughter's favourite teddy in the whole world was accidentally left on either the 07:02 train from Mooroolbark to the Flinders Street, or the 07:17 train from Ringwood to Flinders Street this morning (we transferred trains). She has hugged him to sleep every night for the last four years, and she's devastated. It's a long shot, but please let us know if you see him. Note that he will not have the red tag in the photo on him.
