Yes. It's absolutely ridiculous that he gets away with this grift.

Besides interracial because heās married to a white woman
•
u/Practical-Ad-9816 4d ago
He lied under oath he wouldn't do it as well as not going against roe vs wade
•
•
u/UrsusRenata 4d ago
You may not be aware, but he has made negative remarks against interracial marriage, and implied that it should be a terminated right as well. He is a demon.

•
u/BrianG1410 4d ago
Impeached is far too kind.
•
u/TomeThugNHarmony4664 4d ago
And he should have never been confirmed in the first place. To Sen John Danforthās perpetual shameā that and his promotion of Josh Hawley.

We need to stop blaming the problems of the US on individuals, not Thomas, or the SC or any Senator, or even Trump.Ā
There have been a dozen elections to change course, and voters have always consistently chosen for politicians who clearly have malicious intent either to punish the Democratic Party for perceived failures (such as recently on inflation) or because Republicans promise to address their 1 or 2 main issues.Ā
It's voters who are destroying our country, the politicians we get from the Right are the result of how they vote.Ā

u/Lucasinoz 4d ago
Yes! and now weāre stuck with these miserable sons of bitches of the Republican Party and their incredibly stupid and dangerous āinbredā voter citizens who are brain insufficient and who are literally the āpollutionā that is rotting the country into the worldās toilet

The bribes he was found to have taken by simply 'walking around the law' should at least carry criminal charges.
In a sane society, of course.

The book The Enigma of Clarence Thomas as a fascinating read and explanation about why he is the way he is and the ideology that guides him.
I still hate his guts but I had misunderstood who he is and why.
•
•
•
u/hopeful7321 4d ago
I don't care if his mother made him walk to school with a suppository up his ass, he has no excuse for his behavior!!
•
u/DaggerInMySmile 4d ago
Agreed. And I don't think he lives up to his stated ideals. But I found it interesting learning how he views himself and justifies his vile fuckery.
•
u/VermicelliOwn6502 4d ago
I have not read the book but I am never letting go of the opinion that he hates the fact that he was picked for being black as a replacement for Thurgood Marshall, and that resentment was transferred to his predecessor.

Bush Sr. literally nominated him because he wanted another black person on the Court (but conservative!) after Thurgood Marshall died.
You can't make this up.

Impeached rofl...
Old pubic hair on a coke can should have never been appointed
•
u/Ok_Dust_7325 4d ago
That was the most disgusting thing Iād ever heard at the time when Anita Hill testified at his confirmation hearing.
•
u/Ok_Breakfast5425 4d ago
Uncle Ruckus needs to be removed, he is compromised and shown he is more loyal to trump and his financiers than he is to upholding the constitution.
•
•
•
•
•
u/jeffskool 4d ago
He should be removed from his position extralegally. Give him the respect that he gave the law
•
•
u/MsEdgyNation 4d ago
He should never have been confirmed to begin with because Anita Hill told us he was nasty, but if impeachment is on the table I'll take it.
•
•
u/eddysready 4d ago
Absolutely! He also owes me $10k plus interest since denying me the student loan forgiveness my President granted me.

There's a lot worse things that should happen to him. Uses affirmative action to get his ass where he is only for him to pull that ladder up behind him and screw everyone else.
•
•
u/Aggressive_Craft_981 4d ago
Can't impeach him until the orange clown is out of office or he will just try to replace him with a much younger criminal piece of shit.

•
u/hopeful7321 4d ago
No one in our Supreme Court history has ever been this openly corrupt and snubbing his nose at us to do anything. The Democrats need to drag him and couple of others out of our highest court, for which he has committed (short of murder..although he contributed to deaths) despicable crimes.
•
u/Zealousideal-Time-32 4d ago
What's with all the stupid posts with pics of MAGA politicians and judges asking such an assinine question. No end to the trolls and click bait. Throw the whole lot of them into the sun.
•
u/SkepticalYamcha 4d ago
Heās a Supreme Court justice that openly accepts bribes. Heās compromised. I think he needs to go. I think the entire court needs to be scrutinized by an independent ethics evaluation committee.
•
u/BankOnITSurvivor 4d ago
Impeachment is just the starting point of what that pos deserves. Ā He should be in prison for the bribery.
•
u/YggdrasilGormandizer 4d ago
Hell yes. Not to mention removal of EVERYONE trump put in ANY position now AND in the first term of the New Reich. That's mostly what he did his first term... (I refuse to capitalize his name. I have my dignity.)

The entirety of all 3 branches needs to be purged and given a free slate to do the jobs that they were intended to be. Free of PAC's, lobbyists and the influence of money.
The people who fill the roles of the reborn system should be given the opportunity to announce their faults, as we all have them, before being sworn in. The people will agree that a person capable of admitting fault is morally aligned with the best interests of the people and the public admission will be a demarcation line for the elected servants. We can forgive your past mistakes but from this day forward, while representing our interests, if you continue to do immoral deeds u will be tried for your new crimes and all of the crimes that u admitted to at confirmation.
This will free our representatives from being blackmailed by foreign and domestic agents who are working against the interests of the American people.
Sometimes the only way to get a carpet completely clean is the rip out the old carpet and put down a fresh one, from the underlayment up.

Good ole' Uncle Clarence? Naw, he's a good guy and not bought and paid for in any way. I bet he has great opinions that don't indicate that he accepts bribes or has possibly cupped a billionaires balls in any way, shape, or form. Sure do love that Uncle Tom... I mean Clarence...

While he is obviously a problem, the bigger issue is that we allow open bribery of Supreme Court justices with no legal recourse or accountability. That is insane.
