Can someone explain to me factually why Patrick is not considered a suspect in the Lindsey Clancy case.

Okay my understanding is that the case concluded in a mistrial and fact is that innocence for her is not on the table. She’s either going to prison or a mental asylum.

My TikTok feed has been infiltrated with bonkers conspiracies about how Patrick did it, I’ve listened to arguments/analysis from both sides and seem some of trial but not most of it. The only question I have is why Patrick wasn’t considered a suspect in this case but more so why the HELL these TikTok crazies are coming up with all this insane theories as to why he did it and how Lindsey is innocent.

I understand women and mothers are often let down by the healthcare and support system but my understanding is Lindsey actually did have support and was financially well off.

I am a feminist myself and probably one of the very few that do not support her from what I see online. I feel pretty alone in that opinion.

EDIT: Just want to point out I’m not American and I’m not fully informed of how the court system works over there.

I grew up in a non-western country, and throughout my childhood, JK Rowling was taught to us in school as an inspiration, as a woman who came from a not-so-priveleged background, and through sheer perseverance and tenacity, was able to lift herself up out of poverty.

We were taught how she was rejected by n number of publishers before being accepted, and the story of Harry Potter ended up achieving phenomenal success.

Please go easy on me as I don’t know much about stocks/investing as I am quite young and haven’t done any of that yet.

From what I’ve heard, Markiplier invested millions of dollars into GoPro, became the largest stockholder in the company. He boosted the stock value by almost 50% in one day because of this. Then a day later GoPro announced a ~$280M merger with a company that makes AI and funds the military industrial complex? Markiplier says he had no idea this would happen, but why would someone invest that much money into a failing stock that miraculously bounces back not even 24 hours later? Markiplier is walking away with 1.5x the money he started with from all this and that in and of itself feels like a dirty transaction. Millions of dollars apparently! I’ve also heard that he made a sponsored GoPro review video where he didn’t disclose his stake in the company? I don’t know, I used to watch Markiplier all the time years ago when I was younger, but it’s been a while. He’s been the creator that’s always seemed to avoid any and all controversy. It sounds like he didn’t have anything to do with this? But maybe he’s just not the person I thought he was. This whole ordeal stinks of capitalistic money-making greed and I’m not sure how to feel about it. Multi-millionaires tossing around their money like it’s nothing…and as someone who is very anti-AI and anti-war, everything that’s been happening with the GoPro company makes me sick to my stomach.

For years, Coppermind struck me as one of the worst laid out wikis on the Internet. It prized up-to-date information above all, meaning that most pages spoiled the books they covered seemingly at the earliest possible mention. As an example, the page for the character Sazed, from Mistborn spoiled the ending of the trilogy he appeared in in the first sentence.

Given that the Cosmere is a shared setting for many different but similar series, this made it extremely inconvenient if you wanted a refresher on the events, setting, or mechanics of magic for a series that you'd last read a few years ago. You would inevitably have the significant plot beats of the book you were reading spoiled more or less immediately (I read 2024's Wind and Truth the month it released and wanted to brush up on which of the characters are Heralds and was immediately spoiled that the book's climax replaces one Herald with a new onefor the first time in thousands of years).

At some point since 2024, that changed. There are now spoiler warnings, and the most spoilerific information is now organized in such a way that books aren't spoiled without warning. It's an excellent change...but I don't know why it happened or who spearheaded it. Does anyone else know?
