Discussion A lot of SRS talk here is understandably focused on seggs. But for those who’ve had it, what’s it like to pee?

Upvotes

Are you going more frequently? For shorter durations? Any change in sensation? Do you still have to aim?

Just a thought a socially transitioned, pre-HRT girlie like me had in the women’s restroom yesterday

Thanks!

Help I think my brother is potentially my sister

Upvotes

Hey everyone. In the last 6 months I came to terms with being a trans woman, therefore I have personal experience with what it is like to be transgender. I also know that sometimes being trans can linked to genetics and since I’m trans that could make it more likely people in my family are transgender.

The problem is…my brother SA’ed me when we were kids, we recently started talking again, and started our relationship again, I wanted to tell him that because of his SA my trans hints were made into “oh that just happened because I was SA’ed” and I wish I knew I was trans sooner” - he apologized immensely, he feels incredibly guilty about what happened between us.

So I guess my question is….should I sent him the Gender Dysphoria Bible…tell him to read it to “help learn about my trans experiences” and see if I can crack his egg if their is an egg to be cracked? (Because I can’t just say he is trans! I’m not 100% sure if I’m right, and that is his job to figure out!)

I don’t know if I can live with myself knowing the person that SA’ed is trans as well. Something about that makes my brain hurt. But something about not helping someone who is potentially not aware who they are yet makes me feel like a shit trans person. And I don’t want to be unsure my whole life if my brother is actually my sister. What are your thoughts…? 😔

The reasons I suspect my brother is trans in case anyone is wondering:

1 - My brother said he “thought he was bi before realizing he was straight…you know who else thinks get confused they are bi or gay and later learn they are straight…well technically lesbian but still I meant before they know…repressed trans woman.

This is relatable to my experience as well btw I had questions about being bi as well before coming to terms with being a lesbian trans woman

  1. He watched MLP as a kid all the time and called himself a proud brony a boy who watches my little pony - which doesn’t relate to my personal experience but I have a trans woman friend who LOVED MLP as a kid.

  2. He had a bit thing for trans people which relates to my experience in fact I remember being jealous he had a trans girlfriend and wishing I had one LOL - He had a romantic relationship with a trans woman, and had a FWB relationship with another one a few years later. He seemed to have a heavy interest in trans woman, something a lot of a repressed trans woman tend to do.

  3. He sent a text saying this -

“I always thought I was born wrong, you know? Like maybe I was some ailen disguised as a human, and I never knew I wasn't one.”

But to be fair he was referring to how guilty he was for his actions against me but still like I mean, if that isn’t the most trans sentence I’ve heard in my life lol.

Anyway…so yeah…maybe yall can tell me I’m overthinking things and that these hints mean nothing as well. I just don’t know. I feel like shit either way. I feel bad not helping someone who might be trans find their true selfs with that who they are meant to be, and I also be left wondering as well, which isn’t fun. I also feel like I couldn’t live with myself if I found out the person who SA’ed me was trans themselves. I don’t know if I’d be able to handle that. I don’t know if I can handle questioning it either. Help me. I’m struggling.

Celebration Coming out at a Weird AL concert.

Upvotes

So I went to a Weird Al concert yesterday and it was amazing. I went with my dad and sister and we spent the whole day listening to Americas only respected parody music artist sing his absolute bangers and after the show in the car I was like. Hey I’m trans and he was super cool about!

It was like a huge weight off my shoulders and I was pretty wound up like a toy so it was super nice. Gonna try to relax some more and get a vibe on my mother so I can tell her too.

Oh and thank you Weird AL! Big fan and had a wonderful time happy enough to come out!

Advice Question Struggling with making Progress

Upvotes

I've been struggling with thinking about transitioning since I was 12 (even before that i know something was wrong i think) (I'm 27 now), and I still make progress like I've been thinking about this for years, but I feel overall alright being me, and I don't have intense dysphoria. I think I disconnected myself from my body a long time ago in school, because I was quite fat and got bullied. So I never had a good connection to myself.

I started dressing up when I was twelve and really enjoyed it. I played female characters in games and pretended to be a girl, everything gave me euphoria. I wrote in my schoolbooks that I wanted to be a girl, and hoped someone would read it, maybe my teacher. I never made a step towards it, so i kept it a secret.

Till now I live a normal and really good life as a man. I got skinnier and got to experience pretty privilege in a way people like me, I have friends, a perfect job as a freelancer in filmindustry, I have a beautiful girlfriend. But I can't stop thinking about changing. Recently i outed myself to two friends and there were quite chill about it, but i also didn’t had answer what to do with myself. After all those years I'm still so unsure though. In a post someone wrote "would you press the button" — my answer, absolutely yes. But then there was this other question: can you imagine being an old woman? And I'm pretty unsure honestly, I'd rather be an old man in my head somehow.

This year had two dates with a guy, and I was dressed up as a girl, just at my place. I found out that I'm actually pan-/bisexual but also just in the context that' i'm not a man, and we had sex, and it was kinda insane. I mean, I took some mdma (also for the first time, I'm not really into drugs), and he saw me as a girl, and honestly that was an insane feeling. It felt so good and made me so happy. I also have this weird sexual connection to my gender, and I know it's not just a fetish. But yeah, after that I got depressed and was thinking about transitioning even more, or just ordering HRT and trying it. And then at the same time I get so unsure about everything and go back to living a normal life, i feel like I'm in a loop.

shits confusing af. wth

Help How do you pay for transition?

Upvotes

Hi,
So i’ve been trans for a while and I’m about to move out of my parent’s house in the coming weeks for uni and as a result, I’ve been looking at ways to pay for my transition, mainly hormones, clothes, etc. After looking at the cost of everything, its not really something I can afford. That’s why I’m curious how you guys pay for it if you know any cheap way to get on hormones quickly (i looked at DIY and private healthcare and i don’t think either is doable with my budget). I also want to get on hrt quickly so j can actually start transitioning properly since my dysphoria is getting so bad and I’m desperate.
Thanks

Advice Question First attempt at a tuck (with tape) didn’t go well. What should I do?

Upvotes

Please forgive me if this is TMI.

I have decided to give tucking a try, but the kinesiology tape I bought doesn’t really stick (mainly because of sweat). It really doesn’t help that I’m not staying flaccid when I do it, and it’s just making things harder (no pun intended lmao). What are some tips that you can give me so that I can hide mine?

Dysphoria Is brow bone reduction surgery necessary?

Upvotes

For me I feel like I should get it, every single time somebody took pictures of me from above I look like a fucking primitive MAN... It's disheartening.

I just can't shake off the urge to strangle myself to death everytime I see that brow bridge covering my eyes from above, making me look masculine. I HATE my genes.

Advice Question 23 cis male, feeling extremely confused NSFW

Upvotes

I'm not really sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I really think I need some help. Im 23, cis male, 5'11 and 220-230 lbs, so pretty stocky (more to love). I've also always built muscle pretty easily because of genes(?), and I would say nothing about my appearance is feminine except my plump thighs, because of the fat.

From a very young age I've been fascinated with women, both in admiring them and desiring to be like them. I have vivid memories of trying on my mom's heeled boots, and later getting into gender bender/feminization as a fetish. It's safe to say it's had a pretty big influence on my identity though I can't really pinpoint how its affected me.

Despite all that, I've always been perfectly content with being a man, and in fact I really enjoy being a "dude". However, recently on a whim I did some private role play, and discovered a deeply seeded excitement and desire to be feminine. At first it started out as just me being horny, and I was fine with that, but I started ordering stuff from Amazon (private things, as well as panties and stockings). The excitement grew very rapidly and I even began to feel a semblance of the "female" orgasm during play (at least I think thats what it was judging by how overwhelmingly different it was from playing with my man part. I've heard it described as intense long lasting waves of pleasure throughout the body).

Anyways, I then ordered a bra and silicone inserts, and when I put it on it felt like a piece of me that's been missing for my entire life was suddenly there. I looked in the mirror, and I wasn't disgusted or ashamed, I felt excited because of how complete I felt. I think this means I want breasts, idk?

The thought of doing HRT really fascinates me, I would love to have a more feminine body, especially since I feel like it'd be a lot easier for me to present as a man with my build even if I had more curves and breasts. However I also know that I really want to have a typical sex experience with my partner (whenever that might happen, im a virgy, chalk it up to low self-esteem), and maybe even have bio-kids (I read hrt regularly causes infertility), and I know for a fact that if that did happen I would want to present as a masc father. But still... I really, really want boobs, and while the silicone was great for awakening that part of me, as well as during horny time, the novelty wore off quick and I feel even worse knowing I don't have breasts (real breasts, not my fat moobies).

So like I said before, I actually enjoy being a guy, and I do not want to take away from that. I think my ideal reality would be to transition between fem and masc when I want, which seems kind of like gender fluid as far as I understand it (not very much), but I actually feel more androgynous (maybe the wrong term?) in that I don't really feel like im one or the other on certain days. It fluctuates rapidly with my mood and situation. Right now I spend most of my time masc, and become fem only in private when I feel like it.

Now this is all still extremely new (about a week in), and I know I absolutely CANNOT make any judgements because it could still just be a fetish, but I've always been hyper analytical and observant, and known exactly how to deal with my feelings at all times. But in this case, I feel utterly blind, and I just want to know what exactly am I in for.

*TRAUMA DUMP*, I hope thats okay. I think some important context is needed *trigger warning, I'm talking about religion*

(suffice it to say I got some trauma), I grew up in what can practically be considered a cult (actually a multi-million $ corporation which profits off of the ignorance and fear of others, iykyk) and in 2020 I had a major faith crisis, which completely shattered my identity and I had to reassemble it very slowly. It wasn't till recently and with the help of my family (who also went through that), that I feel like I understand who I am, and now all of a sudden I'm discovering this fem side??

It's honestly so overwhelming, and I know for the sake of my sanity I cannot go through another life altering crisis (such as coming out to my still relatively conservative family, though idek if that'd be a necessity, I just am trying to prepare my mind for the possibility).

Jesus that was long, sorry "_.

Basically im just really confused, I cant talk to anyone, and for the first time in my life I cant figure it out for myself (at least not yet). I need help.

Ally Looking for some advice on accurately portraying a fictional trans lady -

Upvotes

- specifically the ‘bad guys’ of her story!

Hey! I hope it’s okay to post this here. I was hoping you girls could give me some advice, if you don’t mind.

I’m currently writing a story about a trans lady. The story in general is quite uplifting, but, as with most stories, there will be some obstacles for her to face, too.

This is where I could really use some advice. There are two main ‘obstacles’ in her story: her mum and childhood friend, who aren’t too happy with her transition for different reasons.
Mum is a typical traditional older person who doesn’t ’get it’ at first but eventually realises she’s wrong.
Childhood Friend is isn’t inherently a transphobe, but he is a misogynist and sees Protag’s transition as something of a betrayal. CF is the villain of the story, going out of his way to target multiple people, not just our Protag. He used to be a good guy.

Having given a basic outline of those two, my worry is: Protag’s main obstacles are tied to her being trans (albeit for different reasons) - is this a horrible fumble on my part? Is it disrespectful? I don’t want to portray her being trans as a negative thing; the whole purpose of the story is that it’s normal and that she’s a normal person (something I feel a lot of people still need to realise).
I really want to do this right. I want to be respectful and as accurate as I can be.

I’m deliberately not going into too many aspects of the story, as I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, but I’m more than happy to answer any questions if it helps with context.
What I will say is that the overall plot is quite a happy one. There are too many trauma porn stories surrounding our community and I’m not adding to that.
I just really, really could use some advice on the enemies/obstacles aspect of this and who better to ask than my trans sisters?!

Any insight you could give me would be absolutely appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Advice Question Estradiol bloodwork questions

Upvotes

Hello, I'm a 26 year old trans girl with a history of dielaufoy lesion and Gilbert syndrome. I am DIY-ing estradiol in pills, 2mg a day. I want to get a blood test since it's been a month, to check it hasn't had adverse effects on my body. Which specific things would you say I should screen for? I need to specify them to my physician to get a prescription.

Advice Question How do I get started with HRT?

Upvotes

I think I’m ready to give HRT a shot, but I have a lot of questions about how to approach it safely.

I’m in my late 20s, tall, and fairly masculine, so I’m especially interested in what I can realistically expect from feminization—particularly breast development and fat redistribution/glute growth.

I’m also curious about progesterone. I’ve seen people say it can help with breast development and body shape, but I’ve also read that the evidence is pretty limited. Is there actually a reason to add it, and if so, when?

I’ve considered DIY HRT because I travel internationally for long periods and having a consistent supply seems appealing. I'm open to doing it through a legitimate provider, though, if that's practical. I mostly want something I can maintain reliably while traveling.

I’m not looking to blindly take huge doses—I initially wondered whether higher doses would maximize feminization, but I’m not sure if thats how it works. I’d rather understand what actually determines results and what should be monitored.

For those who have started HRT:

  • How did you get started?
  • What did your initial regimen/monitoring look like?
  • How did you handle HRT while traveling internationally?
  • What should I realistically expect regarding breasts, hips/glutes, fat redistribution, etc.?
  • What do you wish you had known before starting?
  • Can we just crank up dosage? Read some things about some doctors not prescribing enough but too much is bad?

Discussion Well girls, I guess I’m smoking again

Upvotes

Little bit of required knowledge so I can just get into my current life event I guess

I’m in an all MtF polycule(we’ve been together almost 6 months) and we moved in together a few months ago. I won’t go into specifics because I love, respect, and cherish my partners to just fling our dirty laundry out there.
We are going through a lot of group and unresolved trauma and are all suffering right now. Previously I had quit smoking altogether(partially due to me knowing they didn’t like that I smoke and mostly because I wanted to quit. I was clean for months but because we’re going through some of the worst times and I don’t handle intense negative emotions well I put myself back on the wagon.
And I had previously decided to keep it from them until we leveled out but now I feel like I’ve betrayed their trust.

Marked this a discussion because honestly a conversation would be great right about now.

Discussion Facial changes timeline?

Upvotes

Curious to see how long it took for noticeable facial changes for yall, if you’ve had any.

Started hrt 14 months ago at 31. So a little of a late start. Only things I’ve been able to tell cross referencing photos are eye size increasing and looking a bit younger/better skin (mostly due to zero skin care to religious skincare now I think), and eyebrows (also not hrt related).

I know it’s a marathon but can’t lie it causes some major dysphoria for me to be this far along and still next to nothing. FFS seems like my only option but I’m flat broke after being laid off a couple months ago.

Anyone out there have some hopium for me or anyone else in this position?

Advice Question M28 gay

Upvotes

Hi there, I hope I’m in the good place and could have some answers and advices because it’s new to me

It’s been nearly 10 years that I’m with my boyfriend (M29)
I’m gay and he’s pan
But… from near the beggining he’s saying that he don’t like being a guy and want to be a girl and he’s asking me if I still gonna love and stay with him afterwards, and I always said yes
But he always ask the same question now and then since
And recently he asked me the question again recently but by going a bit further
By talking me about the hormones, the operation…
But it’s new to me… in the way I feel that… he’s really scared… of doing all the stuff and then loosing me, saying that even if he really don’t like his male body but don’t want to lose me after…
I said to him that if he really want to be a girl… he must do it… but again he don’t want to lose me…
He said that … wouldn’t I miss his penis… having it in (well you know where) I said that there where the pegging stuff…
I mean I’ve dildos and it excites me as well even if I know it’s not the same by having the real thing in me… the feeling of being filled (even if we didn’t dis it yet)
But… he really don’t know how it works… how to take the hormones, for how long, what the effects are… etc… and the operation too…

Can someone tell more about all this, where we can have all the informations, the help and such…? We’re in Belgium

Thanks and sorry for being that long… but thanks to you if you reach your here
I really want to discuss… even in dm if you want

Advice Question How much will your face resemble your mother’s after HRT?

Upvotes

Hello. I want to start HRT but the only thing really holding me back is my face and the prospects of it passing. I've always been told by my parents my facial features resemble my mom more than my dad, but I still have a very mesculine face. I've heard HRT can redistribute facial fat and it causes you to look more like your mom, so I want to know what your experiences with that is? Is it true? I'm guessing it's just a case-by-case basis, so aside from that, what are some strategies to have a more feminine facial structure?

Discussion This Might Actually Be Sustainable

Upvotes

Warning: NSFW

So, I took some of your suggestions and put them to use tonight. This is an update to a previous post discussing how to (and how not to) boof progesterone.

First, thank you to everyone who gave me considerably more detail than I've ever seen whenever this question comes up. Truly, it was helpful!

Tonight went much better.

I set aside the dusty water-based lube in favor of premium, Grade A saliva. Several of you described getting the capsule, your finger, and the uh...loading dock...wet with water first. I took that idea one step further and remembered that we humans have been using saliva as a short-term lubricant since approximately forever.

Some of you also suggested lying down, which reminded me that during the few times I've experimented with this particular...route...things were most...

Enjoyable?

I use that word hesitantly.

Anyway, it was considerably easier for me on my back or side than any variation of a sitting position. I also happen to have a standing mirror available, which meant I could actually see what the hell I was doing. Last night, I was attempting this sitting on the toilet with no mirror.

In retrospect, perhaps not my finest tactical decision.

So tonight I donned a glove (my nails are sharp, and there are some places I would very much prefer not to accidentally scratch), wet the glove with saliva, pre-moistened the field, then rolled the capsule around between my fingers for about 15 seconds. Then I gently pushed it in while bearing down ever so slightly.

One of you may have suggested that. I honestly don't remember. But I did remember it from my aforementioned experimental phase.

And...holy shit, that was easier.

The combination of lying down, saliva, a mirror, and slightly bearing down made the entire thing way more tolerable. No lost capsules. No lubricant crime scene. No increasingly desperate battle between my fingers and my asshole. No internal EJECT! EJECT! EJECT!! alarm going off.

I am still feeling a little crampy afterward (boo!), but it was nowhere near as messy, frustrating, or painful as last night.

So, after declaring both available methods completely unsustainable within approximately 24 hours, I may have to revise my conclusion.

This might actually be sustainable. :)

Thank you again to everyone who ended up writing the 14-step, almost-illustrated owner's manual for How to Shove Your Progesterone Up Your Ass.

It turns out I actually needed it.

Sweet dreams. 😂

Help Best female friend to possible boyfriend????

Upvotes

I am a trans woman with a loving boyfriend who has not yet been prescribed HRT but I publicly present as female. I was doing research on HRT because it makes me feel better about myself while I wait to be prescribed. I learned that sexuality can change via hormones so I worried about having to break up with my boyfriend who I know wouldn’t take it lightly. So I talked to my best friend who goes by she/it and identity’s as lesbian and she encouraged the idea of me liking women. I responded by talking about how I think girls are cooler than guys because IMO they are and she questioned why I prefer dating men. I explained that though I think they aren’t as cool as women I am still attracted to them and mentioned how it would be cool if I was a lesbian but I’m just not. She hesitantly said “I hope you become lesbian so that we have something more in common but that makes it sound like I'm trying to date you” and I responded unmeaningly that “I think it would be cool if we were together. in a not wanting to date you way”. After this we started talking about another thing for a while before I asked if we could go back to the previous topic for a bit which she replied with “yes, are you questioning?” And I said “not yet but if I do I’m worried I’d have to break up with my boyfriend and that would break his and my hearts” and she responded with “Okay while that's true but if you come to a conclusion you need to do it. you CAN NOT be in a relationship one of them isn't in love”. We talked more about other stuff after that. The next day I went back to her talking about the whole “do I want her or do I want to be her” thing and how my interest in curvy women is most likely a “Want to be her” thing which she responded with “BE HER” I assume because we had previously discovered that we share interest in curvy women but it almost read as wanting to see me as a curvy woman which I don’t take offense to. 2 days after I asked her a question about her identity and that spiraled into her being close to realizing that she is trans man. A bit after that I went back to her stating my confusion about what I was feeling which was me wishing I would be attracted to women so me and what use to be her could be together but now that she is no longer her. She asked if this means that I like her and after that she sent and quickly deleted the message “I would be fine with that” which I didn’t get to reply to. I did reply to the asked question by saying “No?? I don’t know??? I know I like my boyfriend” which she replied with “Yeah, you guys seem really good together too. do you love him?” Which I then replied “yes. Maybe. Yes.” Which she then she replied going “can you name 5 things you love about him?” And I couldn’t. I couldn’t list 5 things. She reassured me saying that it’s ok to make that mistake then we talked more and I ended the conversation with “I’m sorry if that was really awkward” which she replied with “nah I'm here for you twin” then goodnight.

So now I don’t know what to do about anything. I haven’t been happy with my boyfriend for quite a bit now that I think about it. My best friend now goes by it/its and has strongly considered going by he/it and has gone by he/him before. I have a strong feeling that when it gets professional help or thinks more about itself then it will identify as a man though I’m not the one to choose that. I have not broken up with my boyfriend and I don’t want to ruin my relationship with him if I don’t have to because he is a lovely person and I still wish to be friends with him. Though a lot of what my best friend has said points towards the fact of her wanting to be in a relationship with me I can’t be fully sure. I can’t talk to my boyfriend about this for obvious reasons and I can’t talk to my best friend either. I haven’t ever come to Reddit for a personal problem before so please excuse me if I messed anything up or I was unclear anywhere. Would any of you have advice?

Celebration Social Transition: Tried New Name in Public for the First Time

Upvotes

Good Evening all,

Posting a happy moment from today. My wife and I moved cities over the weekend, allllll the way across our large state. I was feeling antsy today so I went to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. They usually help me to emotionally regulate. I introduced myself using my name for the first time! Nobody knows my deadname and no one was weird about it either, despite me fully boymoding at this thing. People were very kind :)

So yeah thanks for reading. I felt happy introducing myself using a name I really like.

Best,

Sophia

Trigger Warning I NEED to transition but I still feel so tied to being AMAB

Upvotes

TW: Dysphoria

I’ve known for a few years now that I wasn’t 100% cis, and I for a time believed I was just a very feminine gay man or nonbinary, but now I’m certain I’m a woman. I already started HRT a few days ago and I am very comfortable as a woman, I’ve tried on wigs and feminine clothing and it feels so much more joyful getting dressed compared to before when I’d agonize over wearing jeans and a t shirt and constantly grab at all my fat, muscles, and face like I could make it all go away. But I still feel so tied to the idea of what I believed I should look like, being a strong, masculine, man with huge muscles and abs and being domineering. I know now that was wrong and harmful to myself, and I was compensating, but I still feel so guilty about leaving all that behind like I shouldn’t betray my assigned gender. I also no longer feel valid in being attracted to men and somehow feel like I don’t deserve love because I won’t be a gay man anymore and just a straight woman. I don’t know why I care so much about what men think of me, but I do want to be loved and have a boyfriend or a husband eventually and have kids with him. I also want to be able to dress femininely, but I still feel some sort of guilt about my transition into who I really am.

I don’t want to stop my HRT or go back to being AMAB it is so painful and I find myself squirming and feeling wrong in that body, even if im fine with having a penis and masturbation and all those sexual things. I still am definitely attracted to the male physique but I don’t really care for having it, so why do I still feel so insecure about becoming the real version of myself? I want a softer face, curves, boobs, and having beautiful long hair that I can flip and play with, and be able to dress up like a coquette princess or a bad girl and be seen as that when I leave the house. I know for sure this is what I want, I just don’t know if this is valid to still feel attached to who I was pretending to be. Maybe I could be fem presenting and non-binary, but I do want to look like a woman most of the time.

Does anyone else relate to this? Is this just a part of dysphoria or am I reaching, I feel like I’m in conflict with myself even if I know what the answer is already.

Discussion Progesterone dreams?

Upvotes

Started hrt and prog recently and my dreams have been super strange?
Before, I rarely had vivid dreams and they were often complete nonsense.

Now my dreams are often extremely vivid, scary and have a defined almost narrative structure. Even when I wake up, they make so much sense that it could’ve been a memory.

They’re also usually tied to something personal im going through like seeing someone I lost recently etc.

Euphoria Women's Clothes And Euphoria

Upvotes

I see so many trans women saying how they experience euphoria the first time they wore women's clothes. I'm wondering, are there trans women who did NOT experience euphoria wearing women's clothes.

I felt and feel nothing different wearing women's clothes. If anything, a lot of women's clothes are really uncomfortable and impractical. I don't feel dysphoric wearing men's clothes and often would wear clothes of men I'm dating. I like big muscular guys so their shirts are always oversized on me and comfortable.
