Itinerary Itinerary Check - First Time - 10 Nights - Tokyo>Nikko>Osaka>Fukuoka - Nov 2-12
First time in Japan and I'm going with my dad who is 76 but in very good shape for his age and gets around well. The itinerary pretty full but lots of things are optional depending on our energy levels and weather and it won't be the end of the world if we miss things. We're most excited for the food tours, staying at an onsen in Nikko, and filling up our goshuin-chos. Time allowing, we would like to get goshuin at every temple and shrine, but that probably won't be possible especially on the Kyoto day.
We plan to get around each city using the public transit except for two rental cars: the first overnight in Nikko and the second just from morning to evening in Fukuoka. We may use uber/taxi here are there to get around easier/faster. I already received my international drivers permit for the rentals.

Questions:
- Does takkyubin ever take overnight? Is it necessary to pack an overnight bag Osaka > Fukuoka just in case?
- How is the pacing? It is overloaded?
- How often can i expect it to be too crowded or too long of a wait to get goshuin?
- If you had to pick between Tobu World Square or Edo Wonderland, which are you choosing?
- Is it not worth trying to fight the crowds at Meiji Jingu on culture day?
- Hikiniku to come live up to the hype?
