I hate shipping guns and bad cerakote. Who does the best in CT for pistols and rifles?

Been going to the range a lot lately with my brother in law and wanted to get some recommendations for another rifle to pair with my Ruger American Standard. It's fun as hell to shoot but I'm looking for another rifle either semi-auto or bolt action (does not need to be chambered for .308 win) so we can alternate between the two. Anyone have any suggestions? I wanted to add a more modernize rifle to the amory with a pictanniny and m-lock barrel guard because I love those this (or something that I can upgrade to change out to an m-lok rail).

Being lazy and didnt dig through our (current) laws, can anyone forsee an issue with a fixed mag Galil? Legally or functionality wise. Banned by name or style/not being able to be top loaded?

Is there anyway to get a PSA Build like this in CT?

Interested in buying a budget .300 rifle but cannot find them anywhere for this cheap or I’m looking the wrong places.

I know there is a limit to how many handguns you can get in a month in CT, but is there a limit on how many firearms you can get in a day(rifles,shotguns,ETC)?

Cleaned out my closet for a new toy yesterday. Found these relics hanging out.

Grab 250 from TGS and they're a little longer so they causes malfunctions with the 10/30 pmags. So which brand and shop do you get yours that work fine in the pmags. Or is there any shops selling dedicated 300blk mags as I understand that would fix the issue.

Recently picked up a 3D print, I was amazed at how many LEGAL gun part files there are out there.

Printed a magwell for my 19 and 43X and was very surprised at how good they actually came out. I also printed a couple +0 base plates for my 19 mags and a couple for my buddies MAC mags.

Obviously you can still tell they are 3D printed, but overall fit and finish surpassed my expectations substantially. Not sure how they will actually hold up, but they seem to be pretty dam durable. Either way the magwell cost me less than $1 in material vs $100 buying one, however I’m sure the $100 one would actually function quite a bit better than these. The 3D printed ones lack the “funneling” the real ones have.

Now if only we were allowed to print receivers and suppressors, that would be incredible. Maybe one day things will change…

Is there a specific sub or website where buying/trading is permitted? I know it’s not on here but I’m looking for something local to use

I was thinking of exploring .300 BLK. I would start with supersonic ammo and eventually move to subsonic with a suppressor. What barrel lengths would anyone recommend? I am looking for something shorter than 12.5” to keep it compact and account for the eventual suppressor. I am good with registering as an SBR to give me as many options as possible for barrel length.

I guess I am looking for opinions on what is a manageable size for starting out with supersonic ammo, and will allow for future changes.

Oh - and I know the ammo ain’t cheap, so no need to bring that up! 😆 Thanks in advance for your responses!

Hey guys, I did a little preliminary search on this Reddit but couldn't find any more recent answers. If I wanted to own an SBR in CT with a fixed mag, can I order an SBR directly from a website and ship it to my FFL of choice, or does my FFL have to order it for me? Some Labor Day sales I want to take advantage of to prepare for next year (hopefully).

Hi everyone, I'm getting out of the Army soon and hopefully moving back home (CT). I have a bunch of weapons I bought that I know I need to register with the DPS-414-C form, but I had a few questions:

1. Do I fill out one of these for each "assault weapon" / receiver I possess? Or is there somehow a way to list multiple items on one?

2. Does it matter that I have a bunch? Will they get rejected if I submit like 20 of these forms even for weapons I legally bought when I lived in CT, so that I can modify them later?

3. The DPS-414-C says I need to "Submit proof that you purchased this weapon on or prior to April 4, 2013 in the form of a valid sales receipt and/or a DPS-3, or sworn affidavit that the specified assault weapon was purchased in compliance with state and federal laws." - however, I obviously purchased some of these after that date while I've been in the military. Do I just need the sworn affidavit then, and if so, do I need one for every DPS-414-C, or can I just do one?

Been thinking about joining the club, mostly for the ability to holster fire and be able to shoot rifles while standing, for those who are members how are the pits on the weekends? And how many individuals are allowed at a pit at once? For rifles is standing okay? For the metal targets shooting normal ammo non pen, are they resettable right away or does the range need to go cold in order to reset them? My guess 660$ and your all set? No need to pay any additional range fees? For those who are members and took classes do you need to pay the range fees or is that wavyed since you're a member!

So if I want to bring my ar pistol to another state and the tsa requires the magazine to be removed from the gun. How do I do that without breaking ct laws of having constructive possession of a assault weapon or a assault weapon charge…
