Have only recently begun taking my family on the rail trail, so not sure if this is just status quo.

The signs say no motorized vehicles, which includes everything from hoverboards to dirt bikes. But this doesn’t include ebikes?

Seems insane that so many kids are flying down the trail with so many younger kids riding head on.

Or if they’re not allowed, are there ever any cops that patrol? Haven’t seen one yet…

Are there any community woodshops / makerspaces in the area? I'm looking for places to be able to do some pvc works since I live in an apartment and have no garages.

Hey folks. We’re doing our 12th annual Rockland Music Fest next week, all day at Bowline Point Park.

Headliner: Appetite for Destruction, largest GNR tribute band on the east coast. Plus 5 great local bands, food and activities. Overlooking Hudson River. Proceeds to benefit victims of traffic accidents in Rockland.

I’m looking for a total of 20 volunteers to assist! Just 4 hours of work (several shifts available), and the rest of the time you can enjoy festival.

Recently moved to Peekskill and since we’ve been here so many businesses closed down

Gleasons, Birdsall House, The Central, etc

Does anyone know what’s going on and if Peekskill is going to become up and coming in the future?

I was only able to stay for The Harlem Gospel Travelers, but they were wonderful. The crowd soaked it up. Oh, and Roy's Caribbean did not disappoint.

What are some fun things to do in the fall ,? In the Hudson Valley?

For me, school taxes in Arlington Central School District increased 5% for September 2026 vs September 2025. That is on top of 3% increase for September 2025 vs September 2024.

Edit: Here is what I saw regarding tax levy for Arlington Central School District:

• School year 2026–2027: +3.51% increase in tax levy
• School year 2025-2026: +2.74% increase in tax levy
