Advice Introducing New Kitten Advice

Hi Yall. It's been a while since I've introduced two cats personally and I have anxiety so I'm nervous I'm doing it wrong. I brought a four-month-old kitten home Saturday to be friends with my relatively active and social 5 year old, sparrow. Since then, I've been swapping scents for them once or twice a day and Sparrow doesn't seem to have any issue with the baby's scent; she's eating right next to the door the baby is behind, she lays near the door watching it occasionally or looks up but doesn't hiss or do anything alarming like hiss or really show any distress when the baby starts loudly meowing behind the door, etc.

However, when she Saw the baby through the carrier (I had put it down for a moment when I came in with the kitten because I had to grab something) she hissed once and ran off. That's made me nervous that I'm not sure really where to go from here; do I just keep swapping their scents for another week or so and then go from there even though the scent seems to be fine?

Including pictures for cat tax, ofc
