Deleted my original post because of the comments about my teeth, I know they need lots of work don’t worry but just need to take everything one step at a time, its battle to try overcome my pure self hatred I had for myself. I appreciate the love and will get them seen to. It’s all love ❤️

As a former dental technician, I used to build shiny, new, perfect smiles for people every day out of ceramics and I learned a few things about teeth and people.
No one is looking at your teeth as much as you do, and if they are, they are miserable people whose opinion you shouldn't bother with anyway.
Ultra bright, perfectly straight teeth are more jarring to encounter in person than natural, misaligned teeth.
If you are in the U.S., we are stupid obsessed with unnaturally perfect teeth. No place else in the literal world cares about it the same way.
As far as teeth go, it can always be worse. I have seen some WILD mouths. If your teeth are healthy, you're ahead of the game.

Fellow lab technician here. I did several years in lab and now I work in office with actual patients face to face and at this point, seeing natural looking "misaligned" teeth is so much nicer than seeing bleach white straight smiles. I have to talk people off the ledge all the time when they've convinced themselves they want the whitest shade we offer. Teeth are so incredibly fascinating and if you can keep your real ones healthy, that's a hell of a lot better than "perfect" looking restorative work. If everyone knew just how many people under the age of 40, hell even under the age of 30, were in dentures and partials, I think everyone would be nicer about teeth.

I’m bald and My teeth ain’t great either fam, haven’t smiled in years. That shit is so damn expensive. Went in and they wanted $2k for a cleaning. And I was like “uhh I have insurance?” And they said “no, that’s with insurance. Your insurance is covering $4k”
I don’t understand this insurance crap, I don’t understand dentists. Half the time I call they just hang up and say they don’t accept clients and the last one I was at was gripping my damn jaw with his smelly gloves like Mankind while asking me stuff 😭

Yeah I’ve been completely blown away by the sheer kindness and support shown to me here on this community. I struggled for a long time with my balding head and weight, they always seemed to go hand in hand in my head. Genuinely felt so deflated after the original post because I couldn’t help focus and nitpick the comment that weren’t glowingly positive like the majority were. Posted this again and went to the gym, I was overcome with emotion reading the responses in the car. Made my year and I want other people to get the same outflow of love and support I’ve received, love ye cute bastards 💜

Dude you look great and should feel confident with the insane amount of muscle mass you’ve put on! I hope you take the positive comments to heart more so than the cruel ones. Society needs to do a better job at understanding different circumstances (especially the privileged). My parents skipped braces for me, and of my siblings I needed it most. I was pretty self conscious about them, and a couple years ago I did Invisalign. I always thought every one else had perfect teeth compared to mine, and that's not true, in fact a lot of people don't even notice. Don't let the online haters get you down. Also, if you do Invisalign you have to wear a retainer indefinitely, or your teeth will slowly go out of alignment again. That gets heavily unspoken about Invisalign, until you finish.

I don't know what the comments were saying about your teeth, but I can take a guess, (Reddit is full of a lot of Americans and their love of Chiclet/toilet-bowl-white veneers), and as long as your teeth and gums are clean and healthy, you're winning! I can only imagine all the hard work you've been putting in, keep on keeping on!
(And on a personal note, I had braces as an adult, got the bright colours and everything, because why not? It was actually kind of fun and the biggest change for me wasn't even how I looked, but how much easier it now is to take care of my teeth. Best of luck!)
