Complaint Is it just me or did the quality at Tim Hortons in the greater Montreal area go to shit?
I can’t manage to find good food from Tim Hortons anymore. My go‑to was the honey cruller, the habanero crispy chicken wrap and a peach drink. The only thing that’s still consistent is the peach bottled drink. Everything else is always made with non‑fresh ingredients.
It’s been months since I’ve had a fresh honey cruller🥲. I’ve been going to Tim Hortons in the morning around 5–6 AM, when they’re supposed to bake a fresh batch and I still haven’t gotten a fresh honey cruller. And don’t get me started on the rice in the habanero wrap. Something happened that I’m not aware of? A couple months ago it wasn’t like that 😭😭😭

Question How long do the training videos take in total to complete?
Hey all! Recently got hired at Tims and was asked to watch 64 of their training videos, and though I was making good progress the first two days I ended up being hospitalized and didn’t work on them for a few days. I still have 56 to watch and I was asked to be done them on the 12th - is it possible to complete them in the next three and a half days or should I explain my situation to the hiring manager? I know hospitalization is a valid reason to have delays but I don’t want to ask for an extension for something this early on since I don’t want to seem unprofessional.
Any advice appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Discussion Hot take: Tim Hortons is Canadian, not “Brazilian” or “American”
Not sure where this narrative comes from. And it’s obviously because people are conflating things.
Yes, 3G Capital is a Brazilian investment firm and the largest single shareholder of Tim Hortons parent company. But the parent company is headquartered in Canada, pays Canadian taxes and is regulated under Canadian business law.
In fact, the VAST majority of Tim Hortons total locations are in Canada. And without Canadian dollars and workers, there would be no Tim Hortons. 100,000 people work for the company, and 65% of its total stores are Canadian.
And on the ownership thing everyone talks about. Here’s from a CBC article:
Worth noting also that 3G’s voting share has actually declined from when they orchestrated the merger (47% down to 25% ish today)
More from the article above:
“The company owns five distribution centres in Canada and uses third-party partners for four others in the country, and operates a manufacturing plant in Oakville, Ont., which produces fondants, icings and fills.”
So let’s not kid ourselves. Say what you want about quality and taste, but the Tim Hortons continues a lot to the workforce and economy in Canada.
And if you ask me, yes, it’s a Canadian company. I mean it literally is

Im not at home so I can't make my regular matcha latte. Found a Tim's in YQR before my flight home. Its definitely not as high quality as they claim, but its not bad. Would buy again in a pinch. Gotta be unsweetened though, can't stand matcha with sugar

Complaint Local Tim’s has wasps???
I just stopped by my local Tim’s on the way to visit family and they have like families of wasps and when I mentioned to a worker that he kinda gave me a “what do you want me to do about it?” Which I understand but idk man your manager should do something. Should I report this upwards?
Note: I’ve had problems with them not getting my orders on time here and getting awful service, unfortunately rhis is just the most convenient place to get breakfast for work. Reporting upwards had done nothing as the people I reported still work here. Also I would take pictures but the piracy for both me and the people around I have decided not to

Discussion How’s the costumer service in Montreal?
Specifically in New Saint Laurent, Mile-End, and Downtown MTL.
I use to work in costumer service so mistakes are no brainer but yelling at costumers when they made a mistake is new.
I order frequently 4x a week for work and school and almost every order for a couple of weeks, there is something wrong. Got someone’s order when they clearly yelled out my name, coffee is overwatered, and missing orders.
The reviews on their franchise are usually in 3.0-4.0 stars and I’m sceptical about it.

Discussion Why has Tim Hortons never made a serious push into Pittsburgh?
I'm legitimately asking this as a native Yinzer who hasn't lived in the area in nearly a decade. Tim Horton himself played minor league hockey in Pittsburgh with the AHL Hornets and also had a cup of coffee (no pun intended) with the Penguins later in his career. He met his wife there. They have existing locations in Erie, Meadville, and various locations over the border in West Virginia, not to mention much of Ohio. (I live in Ohio now, within five minutes of three of them actually.) Until relatively recently it also wasn't the strongest Dunkin market, and even now while Dunkin has expanded its not as saturated as New England or Northeast Ohio--the one area in Ohio where Tim Hortons has struggled--and is certainly not on overkill saturation like, say, Sheetz, though I will never complain about Sheetz oversaturation personally.
And its not even just proximity to existing Tim Hortons locations: SIDNEY CROSBY IS A LONGTIME SPOKESPERSON FOR THE CHAIN. Penguins fans often stock up on Timbits during road trips to Columbus, Detroit, Buffalo, and anywhere in Canada. When Crosby retires, Tim Hortons should hand him all of Western PA as territorial rights to Tim Hortons franchises and open up a bunch of stores.
Thoughts guys? Tim Hortons needs to leverage sister chains Burger King and Popeyes for help. Hell, convert the phantom Burger King on East Carson Street on the South Side to a Tim Hortons.

Discussion Where Does HP Collab Rank
Just curious how people felt about this collab?
For me it's the first time going to Tim Horton's multiple times in a month in probably a decade. Thought they did a pretty good job with it. Yeah the quality isn't designer donut quality cause they're fast food. I thought they did a pretty bang up job tho. Ravenclaw was my personal favorite. I liked the snitches and Slytherin too

Question Do they actually sell the Golden snitch?
My wife is obsessed, and they advertised the heck out of the snitch. But it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere in Quebec.
