people like you are why they had to put this sign up lmao

u/double_mayhem 2d ago

op really saw a sign begging for basic human decency and went straight to complaining about the workers

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Haha. I see multiple timmies everyday and trust me I see the "hard work" πŸ˜…πŸ™„

u/derederellama Ex-Employee 2d ago

Yeah! Soooo hilarious that minimum wage workers get bullied so bad they had to make a sign! πŸ™„

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Bullied??? U mean to many complaints to corporate with proof. πŸ˜…

u/thebossphoenix 2d ago

This not working out like OP thought it would

u/Counterkiller29 2d ago

The fact that you dont think they are hard workers tells me youve never worked at any fast food restaraunt in your life to be able to make that call.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Done it all buddy. Right up to bartending and never i been that slack as those workers

u/Counterkiller29 2d ago

Through all that experience you never learned respect for your fellow industry workers.

Yeah, I bet you never slacked off for even a second at work.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago edited 2d ago

Lol nope. When your in that industry... slack means FIRED man the yap i got about not moving fast and getting it right haha. Noope they ain't it. Ever tired downtown Vancouver? They dont play

u/selene00026 Employee 2d ago

it’s hilarious to you that their workers were probably harassed to the point where they needed a sign to remind people to be decent human beings?

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

U mean stop sending videos of them not working to corporate. U got it

u/Loud-Recording-3356 2d ago

My guy, youre a fcking food delivery driver. Where does your hubris even come from, being a food delivery driver and all...

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

u/Loud-Recording-3356 2d ago

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

u/Loud-Recording-3356 2d ago

LMAO thats hilarious that you do that.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Meh yes as hurting as Tim Hortons workers yes yes I know. At least I get paid more per hr than them and actually do the job satisfactory

u/Unfair-Entrance3682 15h ago

Ever wonder if there's a correlation there? Dumbass.

u/Pawssabillitysawait 2d ago

It’s literally just basic respect…?
I fail to see why you are complaining.

u/TheBillborgianOne 2d ago

You are a piece of garbage, OP

u/IMeMJ 2d ago

We were slammed on the weekend, and i was tending to counter only. I am making all the drinks, cold and hot. And I had over 30 people waiting on food/drink, new mobile/kiosk orders. The next lady in line remarked, "are you the only one working today? You are running around with your head cut off." I just smiled at her, and said we are all doing our part.

She ordered a large black coffee. I gave it to her, and she immediately opened it. She began yelling at me because it was too full for her liking. She said "what the hell are you trying to do, burn my hands?" There was a sleeve on it, as is procedure for black/sugar only coffees. I apologized. Other patrons were trying to calm her down, but she poured the coffee all over the counter, yelled profanities at me, and left.

It was my first day out of training.

I've work retail, ma and pa shops, restaurants and fast food. Interestingly, this job has earned me the most and least respect from customers.

u/Unapologetic_Canuck 2d ago

Okay smartass, let’s have you work this job and we can all treat you the way people treat us and see how far you get.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Been there done that. Hostess... server..bartender.. gave it up. Meh.. somehow still a fricken serving people somehow. Some way. Timmies orders i deliver alot lol

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago edited 2d ago

Calm down timmie lovers. Most play with bubbles in the back pick their noses and talk on phones and ignore the customers. Its hilarious that timmies has to defend their LIMA workers πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… like so !!!!! & yes I see them everyday all day picking my DD orders πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… let's not forget most orders are WRONG!

u/Dry-Advantage9420 1d ago

I got yelled at today when I told them that my order is wrong. 😭

u/Unfair-Entrance3682 15h ago

Why the fuck would they work hard for minimum wage? Minimum pay = minimum effort. Send your complaints to the owner.

u/mamadou-segpa 2d ago

Karen ass post lol

Why would you even want to film people working

u/HibouDuNord 2d ago

Its not the staff theyre worried about.

They're worried about a customer catching the 100+ health violations on video

u/mamadou-segpa 2d ago

Might want to read the caption of the post first lol

It is certainly about the workers

u/HibouDuNord 2d ago

The sign that says dont film them is most certainly not worried about worker privacy

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

Arent you just a door dash driver? Lol. Loser. Another douchebag with zero skills making no contribution to society

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Funny I was able to save and buy a condo with this work πŸ˜… lets see them try that on that work. You'd be surprised how much we can make. πŸ˜†

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

The point is there are millions of unskilled labourers. You can drop off the earth and another driver will fill your spot, no blips. Delivery drivers arent necessary, its a convenience, a luxury. Its ironic you ridicule others but laugh like you arent useless yourself. I guess you could always get a job at tim hortons when this dries up for you.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

All workers are able to be left behind. Trust me. Find your spot and make it work.. covid took so much away. Skilled workers also .. so dont come at me with that BS

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

What does covid have anything to do with this lol. Your delusion is showing.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Really. Many people lost work due to it and found new work

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

Literally all anybody has to do is pick up their own food and youre out of work lol. HILARIOUS

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

The amount of people who want delivery and such are far more than people wanting to go out. It more hilarious u think people won't cuz trust me its a 5k plus a month income 😘 9/10k to some that have more time than me. But you keep laughing

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

5k a month what are you 20? Lol. Im also guessing you have no clue the value of time vs money based on your birdbrain responses. Someone should start a delivery company called leftovers for all the people that cant get anywhere else in life.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago edited 2d ago

😘😘 enjoy that. While I enjoy my condo. My Mach-e and many other things this work brings ;) im not crying

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

You saved and bought a condo driving. But have a husband who works and youre on here with a breadwinner, holier than thou attitude. Youre married? Youre a woman? And made this post? Lol what a goof

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Still not crying πŸ˜… the amount of people willing to get serviced is more than people willing to leave their homes. I can just go outside ... turn on the app and make 60 and have enough to eat and spend. In 1 hr.

u/vnilla-ai 2d ago

So essentially, with the last comment you deleted, you aknowledge that you wouldnt be where you are on your own with a drivers wage and do zero "hard work" yourself. Make this post make sense

u/throwawayUWhousingac 2d ago

The fact you think a sign like this is funny tells me exactly why they need it. You must be a real jerk to service staff.

u/RealKuroMejix 2d ago

You're the reason the sign is there.

Don't set foot in a fast food chain if you can't respect the minimum wage workers.

u/HibouDuNord 2d ago

But according to their LMIA they're making like $36/hr

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… they don't even give u what you ordered shessh.

u/Bscotch_Torin 2d ago

Everybody already gets that, have you been to a tims recently?

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Yes and I got a double... when i asked for a triple.. nothing new

u/Reasonable-Fish-245 2d ago

OP shut up and take a sit

u/HibouDuNord 2d ago

Everyone in here saying people like OP are the reason the sign exists.

Two things can be true at once.

OP can be a little blunt, but on the flip side let's not BS the customers that they're "trying hard" when every other order is wrong. Or that they have a "friendly guest experience" when the guy working the drive thru won't even answer a simple hello.

Like sure be courteous to staff.... but also act like I have an IQ higher than a head of broccoli

"Why would they have to do this πŸ˜… hard workers my arse"

Well let me tell you.

When I worked at Tim Hortons, I started in the morning shift. The first guest we got in was a fat, bald, man. He would walk in, target the youngest woman there (It was all woman save for two men over my 3 years of working there) and he would YELL that every day he came in at opening and always got "old" coffee and none of us "bitches" knew how to do our job. He would make us brew him a new pot because he claimed the pots we put on 5 minutes before we opened the doors was "old and burnt".

Every time we would do it he would demand "how hard was that!?". It got to the point where he would only come to me because I put on a fake show of doing it for him. In reality I made him wait a minute and gave him back the same coffee which was magically "perfect" despite it being the same stupid drink.

There was a woman who spoke French, and would only come to me because my name tag said "DesirΓ©e" and so she thought that was my native language. She would refuse to speak in English and one day when I tried to speak french back to her asking what size she wanted, she flipped out and screamed for a manager. She demanded I be fired because I was pretending to not know how to speak English when in reality she was embarrassed that I truely did not know French. I guess my accent pissed her off.

There was a woman who it took us like 3 weeks to talk down to stop threatening to "beat the breaks off us" because she made up some story that the one Asian woman on the team who was bearly 5 feet tall and was the nicest person alive called her a "fucking skank". Every day she would come in it would be a different woman on the team, usually it was whichever one was a visable minority. The age, shape, and colour changed. The only time she was normal or nice was when there were only Caucasians on the team. This was a ploy for free food. The managers of course often gave in. She often threatened to assault us. Technically, we are allowed to turn people away and ban people, but in reality if we did, we got written up for OUR behaviour being inappropriate to the customers.

There was a man who was crazy and he would come in often and say inapropriate things to the young women. He liked to follow people to their car and to their homes if he could. He left a package of photos for us one day and they were of him shirtless. One day he came through drive through absolutely going ham on his meat. He asked for a girl he knew was just a teen on the intercom.

A woman once called corperate because I asked how they were when she was ordering. She claimed I was trying to bang her boyfriend in the car. I got to have a very weird conversation with the boss about that.

There was a family of 5 and they would take turns buying large ice caps with whipped cream and caramel drizzel. They would drink half, and then come in and take turns screaming at us that we made it wrong so that we would give them another one, for free. They got violent and started throwing things when we started asking for their half drink back if it was wrong. We got it on both ends because if we didn't help them, the bosses were mad, and if we did, the bosses were mad we were wasting money.

During roll up the rim people often tried to steal cups and threaten us for them wich is the craziest thing in the world to me, even more so than the person who came in with what I hope is a fake gun demanding his drink to be free. (If it wasn't fake then I absolutely mean mugged my way out of a armed robbery).

All of this is just off the top of my head. There is so much more like parents letting their children destroy the store and telling them it's our job to clean it up. People telling their children in front of us that if they don't stop misbehaving they will end up like us. People mocking us to our faces telling us that clearly they don't hire people with high school deplomas because god forbid we take some time to make 5 god damn sandwiches rather them being ready in 20 seconds. It goes on and on and on, Karen, so yeah.

The sign is needed because people like you are for some reason under the false assumption that Tim Hortons workers don't deserve the SAME respect you'd give yourself, or a lawyer, or a cop, or a CEO. You treat us like we are less than fucking human, and it only gets worse for the people who aren't from here, so I don't want to hear your snotty little comments and see your snotty little posts about "Why would they have to do this πŸ˜… hard workers my arse"

I have worked in Tim Hortons, I have worked in publishing, I have worked in office jobs and I am telling you clearly, Tim Hortons workers not only work hard, they work harder than you ever will so have some god damn respect and delete this post.

u/Conscious-Stage-1851 2d ago

Maybe treat the customers better by getting orders right and not ignoring them in the lobby. You maybe 1 of 50 who actually care. Tell me why my order is never right? Triple tipple is always wrong .. butter on my egg and cheese .. never any butter .. always double double. So yeah πŸ˜… u maybe a good worker but majority can care less

u/ConclusionAbject9032 1d ago

God you're so fucking up your own ass and stupid I am surprised you don't have to manually breathe and blink.
