The video is very interesting to watch, honestly when the game first came out I thought of it as a mini AGI test and didn't think AI would be able to complete it until 2029.

But seriously though with new drug simulation workflows and research ability of frontier models, how much longer do I have to endure😭.

There does not seem to be anything in principle preventing the methods from extending all the way to Navier-Stokes, and there is even a non-negligible chance that the forcing term could be eliminated entirely, although there are an enormous number of technical difficulties that would ensue in implementing that program.
Also some drama with OpenAI math team, who claim that an internal OpenAI model had produced a proof of finite time blowup for the forced Navier-Stokes equations, about 100 page long proof
Edit: Drama forcing Sebastien Bubeck to make a statement tomorrow https://x.com/SebastienBubeck/status/2097214122471432349
Edit: Apparently by coincidence another independent result of the 3D Euler?

The narrative around why building AGI was a good idea has always been about invention -- "it will cure cancer", "it will solve fusion energy", etc.
So I would not "declare AGI" until we have AI that is, at last, capable of invention -- conceptual breakthroughs, novel insights, new real-world technology, etc.

Voices of reason.
The people rushing to label GPT-6 Astra as AGI seem more like salesmen's than engineers. Serious researchers like Demis Hassabis have a much stricter definition for AGI, and have lamented the fact that people like Brockman and Altman have cheapened/reduced AGI to a marketing term.

An experimental drug called Rentosertib, created by biotech company Insilico Medicine using artificial intelligence, has shown an unexpected effect. It was developed against an incurable lung disease, but during the tests, the indicators by which scientists estimate the biological age of the body changed in patients.

The AGI I imagined was an Einstein-level intellect backed by massive compute, curing diseases, advancing science exponentially, and kicking off a whole new era for humanity.
Instead, people see an AI messing around in Blender, computer use, or booking a haircut appointment and call it AGI.
Respect to Jensen, but his business depends on selling hardware to every AI company out there, so of course he has to play along with the AGI marketing hype.

This is so true. Demis Hassabis warned that tech CEO's like Sam Altman had cheapened the AGI term and that one of them would be announcing they had AGI very soon.
There will be a serious backlash if these CEO's try to convince the public that they have AGI when they clearly do not.

“Some claim that AGI is here now. Ridiculous. No AGI without mastery of the real world! No true self-improvement without self-improving hardware, as opposed to the already existing, self-improving, meta-learning software [DLH].
Quote from Sec. 20 of [DLH]: "As I have often pointed out, the only AI that works well today is AI in the virtual world behind the screen, for example for automatically summarizing documents, creating images, programs and PowerPoint slides. But there is no AI-controlled robot that can do what a plumber can do [DYS23][JY24], or what a capuchin monkey can do, because the physical world is much more demanding than the world behind the screen. Passing the "Turing Test" [TUR3,a,b][TUR21] is much easier than True AI or Real AI in the physical world [95-25]. Hence the Turing Test is not a good way of measuring intelligence. To achieve True AI, AI software research per se is not enough, it has to be combined with the physical world of machines and robots. No AGI without mastery of the real world!"

UnifoLM-X2-1.0 breaks through world-action foundation models' bottlenecks in instant planning, decision-making, and dynamic interactive execution, achieve high dynamics, strong interaction, real-time prediction and planning of the future, achieve fully autonomous combat for humanoid robots. This validates the fundamental feasibility of large-scale deployment of world model-driven humanoid robots.

H3 MAX generates the battles on the fly, considering move used, and status conditions like: 'Paralysis, fainting, and Pokémon is hurt are reflected on screen'.
I wonder how this workflow would work on other turn based games...

>>Blueprint-Bench 2 tests spatial reasoning by asking AI agents to convert apartment photographs into accurate 2D floor plans. Each agent processes 50 apartments sequentially, examining ~20 interior photos per apartment and generating a floor plan showing room layouts, connections, and relative sizes. Agents use a persistent notepad to carry insights between apartments, enabling cross-apartment learning and iterative strategy refinement
