I reckon a lot of people would still say I'm young but I feel a bit old inside. There were a lot of changes in my life this year, so I think that also has a part to play with why I feel this way. I wish I had tried making more friends when I was younger, but I'd like to think it's never too late!

No seasonal meals but I love having bacon on bread in the mornings, and when strawberries are in season I buy a ton of them because they're my favourite. Pressed pennies sound cool! I collect stamps and coins. It's so fun to come across one I haven't seen before :)

The other day I saw some crested pigeons with the male trying to chase after two other females in the middle of the road. He kept trying but it was so funny because the females were clearly not having it!

u/hapa1720 - thank you for the gold foil animal card! I'll have to listen to the song you mentioned. Personally, I think it's inevitable that honeymoon phases end. Not just with people, but I think it could also apply to other things in life, like new interests. There will be a time when the passion or excitement for something dies down, but I reckon it's the phase after that's important that decides whether something is sustainable and compatible in the long-term. Anyway, that's my two cents 😉

Mystery sender 1: you sent me a beautiful handmade beaded bracelet with my name on it and had some pop-up butterfly and flower stickers on the envelope

Mystery sender 2: you sent me a birthday card with a dog and and cat wearing party hats blowing out a candle laid on a brown background. There is a bundle of green balloons decorating the inside of the card

The first cards reached me, when some people still asked to send something. They are of course from nearby, but you three were incredibly fast with sending, too.

I am very unhappy not to be able to mention this one sender from the netherlands. I went through posts and chats and couldn't find identifying hints. So I hope you see this. If you sent tea with your card, please answer.

u/birdiebennett: Love the watermelon card! How funny that your mom had gotten a tattoo without there being a meaning behind it! I think that may have been more common in the past. I think people (well, me, at least) are more conscious about getting something meaningful especially when there are so many excellent tattoo artists. You should try a temporary tattoo sometime! I do still see those for sale.

I'll get into Manhattan a handful of times a year to see friends, but at the end of the day, I'm happy to return home. I do wish I could see more shows, but Broadway has gotten so expensive! Were you able to get discounted tickets to shows?
