ONE QUESTION I DIDN'T ANSWERED WAS --> (WHAT IS ROWNUM? checked later it's a pseudo column in oracle db).

MR didn't even saw my resume, i started projects in my introduction and he continued from there only and asked more then more from my words.

Got placed at a global semiconductor company through campus placements. Happy to share experience because it might help others preparing for similar roles.

guys, i've finally been placed (got the offer on 22nd aug) ...it's a cybersecurity company (21 base & 5% variable pay)

honestly, it was one hell of a journey

on 11th aug, i got rejected by one of my dream companies with 17 lpa ctc & 12 base (didn't get full time conversion), and uske baad ke 10 days were the toughest days of my life ...i was almost depressed thinking about how things were going

but somehow, within 10 days of that rejection, i ended up getting an offer with almost double the base pay

the offer is it + pbc, so i'm still not completely sure how things will turn out, but i'm looking forward to it

ig the only thing i'd want to say is : the best and the worst thing about time is that it changes!

Hello to the person reading this. I hope life is treating you well. I genuinely wish that, because right now, mine feels a little overwhelming.

I’m a 2026 BTech CSE graduate from a tier-3 college. Like every other student, I had dreams of getting my first job, making my parents proud, becoming financially independent, and finally feeling that excitement of starting my career.

But things haven’t gone the way I imagined.

The biggest problem is that my college didn’t really have proper placement opportunities. Unlike colleges where students have access to regular campus drives and multiple companies coming in to hire freshers, we barely had meaningful opportunities. There were no proper mass hiring drives that could give most students a realistic chance of getting placed. So for many of us, graduation ended without a job offer in hand.

Now that college is over, I’m trying for off-campus opportunities, but honestly, I barely see openings for the 2026 batch. The uncertainty is scary.

The hardest part is not just being unemployed — it’s dealing with the constant pressure around it.

In Indian society, everyone seems to have an opinion about your career. Relatives, neighbors, family friends… the first question is always: “Did you get a job?” or “What are you doing now?” Even when people mean well, it becomes exhausting.

Initially, my parents were very supportive. They believed I would eventually get a job. But now, seeing me still unemployed while some of my friends have started working, I can sense the comparisons. Sometimes it feels like they think I’m not good enough or that I didn’t work hard enough.

Because of all this, I’ve started isolating myself. I interact less with friends and family, spend most of my time in my room applying for jobs, and honestly, I don’t even realize how much it is affecting me. My parents say I’m becoming more irritated and distant.

The most confusing part is that I’m slowly losing interest in the field I once loved.

Back in school, I genuinely loved computers. Java was the language I enjoyed the most. I was excited about programming and technology. But now, I struggle to even sit down and practice DSA, learn new skills, or build projects. Sometimes I wonder if choosing CSE was a mistake.

I know I shouldn’t compare myself with others. I know everyone has their own timeline. I know I need to trust the process and keep trying.

But it’s difficult when you feel stuck while everyone around you seems to be moving ahead.

Opening LinkedIn has honestly become stressful. It feels like everyone has everything figured out — jobs, internships, achievements, perfect career paths. I know social media doesn’t show the full picture, but it still gets to you.

I’ve thought about options like MTech or MBA, but due to some personal reasons, I can’t pursue them right now. Getting a job is the priority, and the feeling of wasting time and falling behind is getting heavier every day.

I just wanted to share what I’m going through and hear from people who might relate.

Are other 2026 BTech graduates facing the same situation? How is the job market looking for freshers right now? What are you doing to stay motivated and keep moving forward?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences, advice, or even just knowing that I’m not alone in this.

Failed in Infosys L3 (21 LPA) disappointed me since I didn't even got the DSE role.

But after that cracked TCS Digital (7 LPA) (Interviewed for Prime) and today got mail for Infosys L1 (11 LPA).

I recently completed the Microsoft SDE II interview process for an L62 role with the Azure MySQL team and received an offer.

I applied through the Microsoft careers website and received the screening invitation approximately three weeks later.

Round 1: Hiring Manager Screen

Date: August 26
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

The Hiring Manager asked one coding question involving an expression evaluator. It was similar to LeetCode 150: Evaluate Reverse Polish Notation.

The standard solution uses a stack:

• Push operands onto the stack.
• When an operator appears, remove the two most recent operands.
• Apply the operator and push the result.
• Return the final value remaining in the stack.

One important detail is operand order for subtraction and division. If right is popped before left, the operation must be evaluated as:

left operator right

Round 2: Project Architecture and HLD

Date: August 28
Duration: Approximately 50 minutes

This was scheduled as a coding interview, but the interviewer instead focused on my current project architecture.

I explained:

• The main services and their responsibilities
• Request and data flows
• Database choices
• Communication between components
• Scalability and availability
• Failure handling
• Important technical trade-offs

The interviewer introduced several hypothetical changes and asked how the architecture would behave under higher load or partial failures.

My takeaway was to prepare project architecture as thoroughly as a standard system-design question. Interviewers may go several layers deeper than the overview shown on a resume.

Round 3: Database Backup Retention

Date: September 1
Duration: Approximately 55 minutes

I received a list of database backups containing timestamps and metadata.

The initial requirement was to:

• Retain the seven most recent backups.
• Return the backups that should be deleted.

The interviewer expected production-ready code rather than a short algorithmic solution. The discussion covered:

• Input validation
• Timestamp parsing and time zones
• Duplicate backups
• Deterministic ordering
• Empty input
• Safe and idempotent deletion
• Failure handling
• Testability
• Extensibility

The retention requirements were then expanded:

• Keep the most recent backup for each day in a seven-day window.
• Keep the most recent backup for each week in a monthly window.
• Keep the most recent backup for each month during the previous four months.

A clean design is to model each rule as a retention policy:

RetentionPolicy
    selectBackupsToKeep(backups, currentTime)

The final protected set is the union of the backups selected by every policy. Any backup outside that union becomes a deletion candidate.

This avoids deleting a backup that is protected by one rule but not another. In a production system, I would first generate a deletion plan and validate it before performing any destructive action.

Round 4: AA Round

Date: September 4
Duration: Approximately 50 minutes

The final round included a backtracking problem.

Two players take turns rolling a three-faced die. Each roll adds 1, 2, or 3 to the active player’s score. The first player to reach the target score wins.

The task was to count all valid game sequences.

The natural state is:

(scorePlayer1, scorePlayer2, currentTurn)

From each state, try the three possible roll values. A sequence ends when one player reaches the target.

The exact recurrence depends on details that should be clarified:

• Do the players always alternate?
• Does reaching or exceeding the target count as winning?
• Do both players use the same target?
• Should the answer be returned modulo a number?
• Are different roll sequences counted separately?

A direct backtracking solution may repeat the same states. Memoizing the state reduces the work to approximately O(target²) states, with three transitions from each state.

I received the final update on September 7, 2026.

The process tested more than DSA. The most important round for me was the database-backup problem because it evaluated code structure, operational safety, edge cases, and extensibility together.

• Practice stack-based expression evaluation.
• Know your current project architecture in depth.
• Prepare to explain scalability and failure scenarios.
• Treat production-oriented coding differently from LeetCode.
• Clarify calendar boundaries, time zones, and retention-policy overlap.
• Discuss safe deletion, retries, idempotency, and observability.
• Recognize when backtracking can be optimized using memoization.

Overall, 46 candidates received final offers.

Got placed at 6 LPA from a tier-3 college.This is more than a lot of people around me even got, and I worked for it. But every time I open reddit, it's someone posting their 2-digit package, or a "how I cracked FAANG" story.

I'm not hating on any of them. Genuinely they put in the work, they prepped hard, they earned exactly what they got. This isn't about begrudging anyone's success .It's just hard not to compare.

I should feel proud, but it quietly makes me feel small.
