The tldr is they keept really good notes about human experimentation that ended up having practical applications. The experiments were painful and violent usually resulting in death
That's more a matter of capability than of intention. I'm pretty sure that if the roles were reversed, Hamas (which to be clear is not the same as the Palestinian people) wouldn't show much more restraint than Israel is doing right now.
Perhaps, though only if the historic atrocities of the Israeli government (which also isn't the same as the people), and their historic para military groups had occurred in the same way against the Palestinians. Otherwise Hamas wouldn't really have become a thing in the first place.
They would show less restraint as you said. One of the main pushes of Hamas is to kill all Jewish people already and they already target civilians for attacks.
Israel doesn’t target civilians, they target Hamas who are hiding in civilian areas without military uniform.
This is to say Israel is not performing perfectly and is committing war crimes, but it’s clear Hamas treats the rules of war as toilet paper.
First off, Israel is not committing genocide at this time.
Second, it’s difficult to kill Hamas members when they intentionally hide within the civilian population without military garb. Every time this happens it’s a war crime. This is the only reason civilians are killed!
Third, Hamas uses children as soldiers against Israel and becomes valid military targets.
Every time Hamas hides among its civilian population it’s a war crime. Every time Hamas refuses to wear a military uniform and engages in combat is a war crime. By shear volume Hamas has easily 2 orders of magnitude more war crimes committed than Israel.
This isn’t to say Israel doesn’t commit war crimes, but your scale is faulty if you believe the numbers are flipped.

So they forced people to rape them. Makes more sense why you used that term, but it doesn't really change that using terminology intended for animals, is dehumanizing the victims.
So, you think calling black people the n-word is gonna make people understand the slaver mindset better, or dehumanize black people? Bc that's makes about as much sense.
Do I find the term horrifying? No, I am not who you are dehumanizing and I don't think your words have any power to reflect what it was like to be the victim. What I care about are the victim's families having to hear someone effectively call their parents and grandparents animals.
Do I think it sounds harsher, compared to saying they forced people to rape other people? No. I just think one is factual and clear, while the other is a mindless insult and rings much more of sexism and language used in porn to degrade women.
