So yeah, apparently Synapse 2 was already in the works but was cancelled by Sony because the orignal Synapse didn't perform well enough. This was revealed by Bryan Paul yesterday on his live gamescast. He said that Sony requires at least 80 score on metacritic to consider a sequel for a game. Synapse right now sits at 77...

Yeah i would like to use this for comfort to improve my gaming experience.

I’ve never owned or even tried a Vr headset so anything to look for when buying 2nd hand to avoid any duds?

I was getting my ass kicked by hordes in the mine level, mostly because my hands fumbled all over the place when trying to manual reload.

Started to consider switching to an easier difficulty or auto reload, when an inner voice that sounded oddly like Terry Crews in the Old Spice commercials yelled "Listen, you didn't buy this headset for arcady Lethal Enforcers crap. You wanted precise motion controls and you got it. Now you want to give up? Git gud on reloading, you wimp."

Realized I could practice reloading as much as I wanted without wasting ammo, by simply picking up the non-empty clips from the ground afterwards. So I did exactly that.

Yesterday I finished the game after going through all the remaining levels in a single playthrough, without dying once.

I'm an old, mostly casual gamer who just wants to have fun. I have nothing against making things a bit easier if I'm having more frustration than pleasure.

But it's damn satisfying when you don't have to.

PSVR2 in airliners on MSFS2024 is something else.

Hey all! Just dropping in with a quick Zero Caliber 2 status update: we’ve entered our 3rd, and hopefully final, QA pass with Sony.

We went through and tackled every single bug their QA team reported. While we were at it, we also changed the FPS target from 90 to 120, which ended up giving us better average performance overall. As a nice side effect, the game also feels smoother, looks cleaner in motion, and performance is more stable across the board.

Fingers crossed this is the last one!

Recently ive been wanting to get a vr headset and i came across these 2 that caught my eye as they were cheap on cex and in good condition they are priced roughly similiar, i just wanted to know which one would be best for me, i have a good pc and also i will be playing wired on pc, cost does not matter in my case

I know it has been a while, but the latest patch has just been published :D

A quick summary of what's new in this patch:

Hybrid Arcade Drumsounds

Instead of having the players drum-sounds on or off, you can now set this to a hybrid (actually, it's the new default. If you had arcade drumsounds on, it'll be changed to hybrid with this update).

In hybrid mode, no drum-sound is made, unless there are no notes to be hit (at least, within a certain threshold), allowing you to free-style in between parts.

Streamer Cam

To allow for more interesting gameplay videos, there's now the abillity to change what's displayed on the tv-screen (social screen).

Three static angles and one dynamic mode.

Quality-wise, the base PS5 is limited to a 720p at 60hz Streamer-Cam, whilst the PS5 Pro outputs at 1080p at 60hz.

Note-Highway Visibility

The note-highway can now be turned off, as with some drum setups it may be obstructing the view of upcoming notes.

Return to Customs

The song-select button now returns you to the correct song-list.

Bugfix: sounds cutting out

The sound budget was reached too soon when playing. The budget (or, limit) has been increased to prevent sounds from cutting out.

Future plans

Unless there is a major, breaking, need-to-fix-now issue, I'll be focusing the coming weeks on making sure the PCVR and Quest version get some love as well. After that, I'll be looking into acquiring more base-game songs or DLC's.

I sold my PSVR a few months before the PSVR 2 came out, but these days, it’s so easy and cheap to acquire an original headset for $40-$60 EASILY on local marketplace, that I couldn’t pass it up.

Also, because PSVR titles are sooooo cheap and affordable too, back then there would be a premium/prices wouldn’t typically dip all that much…but now that it’s been replaced and obsolete,

it’s so amazing because I’ve been buying MOST psvr games for only $5 each!!! I’ve gotten DOZENS on GameStop’s website alone, I’d usually wait until their buy 4 for $10 (on games $5 and under) and would save even more money, making it just $2 a game lol

There’s no better time than now to get one guys. BUT OKAY SORRY,here is my question: will having the processing unit/original psvr headset attached to my ps5 make it so that my games won’t look as good? Because the headset requires you to plug the ps5’s HDMI into the processor box (as a pass thru), I was afraid that maybe I’d lose out on: higher resolution, frame rate, HDR, and whatever other tech that was released after the original PSVR launched

It’s on Ali and costs 20 CAD compared to the $60 Globular on Amazon. Is the globular that much better?

I have a vr2 headset that turns on and works for maybe 2/3 minutes before the headset just disconnects or turns off. I am unsure of what to do I’ve had it for 2 years and this has never happened before

Hello! I've been playing my PSVR2 for over a week now and i'm amazed by how fun It is. During my sessions i've hit my right controller against my wardrobe twice, with medium strenght. It's working just fine and i'm being more cautious with my surroundings, but I get really scared whenever It happens because Sony doesnt sell replacements and getting them fixed is probably expensive as hell. I've been wondering, how resistant are they really? Were they made with those small accidents in mind? I would like to hear you guys thoughts
