I cleaned it up, changed thermo pads (Grizzly minus 8 1mm) and thermal paste (Grizzly kryonaut).

I did not forget about radiator, it is clean as brand new.

I noticed that is was super loud when Turbo mode was on. I turned it off and it was super silent for Until Dawn and Disco Elysium.

However, I installed eFootball 2021 with Monster Patch and most likely Boeing 737 is more silent than my console. I assume this game is Pro enhanced as graphics are just beautiful and I have solid 60 fps.

I am seriously concerned about games like Ghost of Tsushima, GoW or RDR2.

I have 4k TV with HDR.

Do you have similar issues with your Playstation? Can I turn the turbo mode off for enhanced games somehow? Can I do anything?

So I’m new to the PS4 Pro community my last console was a ps5 but due to bills I had to sell it and I was able to find a pro for a 100 but I’ve recently been playing Elden ring and I’ve noticed there’s a bit of a lag every couple of seconds and I never experienced that with the ps5 I’ve also played lies of p on the ps4 and didn’t notice any lag on that. Has anyone else experienced this with Elden ring or do I have to mess with my settings? Only thing I have changed was I turned on the HDR ? Could that be the issue? Thanks for any help

I picked up a spiderman Ps4 Pro back in April with two controllers for $150 CAD. I then found a mint condition gold controller for $40. I have spent a total of $60 on 14 games, with two of those games being CoD Advanced Warfare, and ESO for $3 from my local hockshop. All in for this console I am at around $250 spent total. If you are debating if you should pick up a ps4 or even a ps4 pro, I'd say go for it. The Ps4 is in its dirt cheap era and I think building a library of games for cheap can be lots of fun, while online multiplayer is still easily accessible as the Ps4 sold VERY well and there are plenty of them out there in the wild still.

So i recently picked up a ps4 pro for fairly cheap with a disc drive problem (i knew it had the problem) .

The guy told me it accepts discs but throws them out after a few seconds.

I tried it and found out that his statement wasnt correct.

It accepts the disc, starts spinning, makes a weird sound like something is scraping against the disc, wont read the disc but tries over and over without ejecting the disc.

Now what i wanna know is.

What could it be thats broken?

Is it an easy fix?

And how much could it cost me to repair it myself?

Took me a few weeks to get all the games and Updates / DLC I wanted for all the games but was worth the work

If you don't have plastic stands or risers for your PS4, here is a quick setup: place small stacks of rubber erasers (I used the ones I use in school.) under each corner of your console.

Lifting the console off the surface improves overall airflow underneath. Rubber acts as a decent heat insulator, which prevents heat from building up on the desk surface directly below the vents. In my case, idle temperatures dropped from around 60°C to 56°C (though results will vary depending on your PS4 model, thermal condition, and room airflow).

It’s a cheap, easy alternative to buying dedicated plastic feet!

I cleaned my PS4 Pro over a month ago and also replaced the thermal paste (ARCTIC MX-4). The problem is that for almost two weeks now, my PS4 has been giving off a smell of melted plastic. Also, when I launch Fortnite and another game is updating at the same time, the PS4 shuts down while the game is launching.

Do you know what might be causing this?

My brother left ice on my PS4 pro while it was running to "cool it down" didn't realise till tomorrow after I woke up and I turned it on the the disk got rejected and the disk was covered in water I immediately shut off the console and I popped off the top of it to let it dry for 2 days then i did a few hours of test play and it worked fine but every 13 or so seconds the disk drive would make a wirring and quiet ticking for around 5 seconds before stopping and starting after another 13 I dont have any tools to open it other than the top shell and I dont want it to break. It's been 2 days since I noticed photo of the top if it helps

I have a dualsense controller and ps4 pro but i wonder if connect to play ps4 pro through magic-s pro2 that do the dualsense has all feature like dualshock(eg: gyro, some music start from controller on some game,…) when playing game on ps4 pro😭😭😭

Saw someone managed to find a PS4 slimPro the other day. I much prefer the PS4 Fatpro.

My Fan on my ps4 slim got loud so i replaced my thermal Paste and Pads with from Arctic and still my consols Fan Gets loud when i play for 30 min it is clean and al the Sites from my ps 4 slim are free so it can breath i dont know What it could be dies anyone have the Save Problem and have solvded?

I got this PS4 pro fully refurbished! And it’s clean from inside and out and it’s quiet like my PS5.. anyways i check the firmware and its on 12.00! I immediately went to jailbreak it and I couldnt be happier its definitely faster than the slim i currently still have anyways here so pictures .. the slim had a 2tb but i move it to the ps4 pro.

still cant believe me myself finally after many many years so struggle play game on low spec laptop, got some crashes ,laggy, bug, low bad resolution, finally i reward my self with this console , yees ps4 slim jailbreak, i got it online , order it and wait it for almost 2 week since my place far far away from the capital city, but when it arrives the hdd got corrupted and i was so sad like i already choose it carefully the store that trusted, but still its arrived in hdd corrupted condition, so finally me n my friend have this strategy to replace the hdd with our own while waiting for the store to be responsible sending the new hdd (which is i believe its happen to be old and second refurbish) so yeah its suprisingly worked out, the hdd 1 tb that i have and its not in very well condition and i bought 2 tb WD my passport to be external hdd, after do some research in reddit i finally bought it , and now i was shocked and still cant believe my self have this experience, play it in very 30fps LOL but stabile and the graphics omg it was so good , i still can believe im not dreaming rn and will play this all of great stuff from the library of ps4…
