Just wondering what type of jobs you guys end up getting
I’m trying to go overnight so i won’t have to deal with these ridiculous glass claims.. before i was glass trained they were trying to get me to go overnight . Now that i’m finally asking to go overnight SINCE APRIL due to me trying to go to college and im also part time for the government they haven’t even given me any updates or anything even after contacting the manager . It’s ridiculous .

My physician is recommending I take extended leave because my physical health has been deteriorating as a result of my mental health caused by this phone job. I’m not going in-patient care or anything like that though. Has anyone done anything similar? How was the approval process? I’m worried it’s going to get denied even with my doctor signing everything. Especially because it’s extended leave not asking for a day here and there
Edit to add:
-I’m worried about how they’ll treat me when I return.
-Would this be my PTO bank or EIML?

Hey guys, previously left Geico 3 weeks ago. Moving to a new address in the next couple weeks, didn’t think about printing out my paystubs before I left.
Does anyone know where I can get a hold of my paystubs after employment. Previous supervisor ghosted my text lol so trying to get a good idea of where I can reach out to 😂

You all going to revisit our goal package since we have been taking all calls for weeks now, but our goal package was based on being able to work queues?!?! What a joke

my very first reddit post ( so don't slaughter me ) , but after Dolly's death, i think Americans deserve to hear the entire "Honk, Honk" song on the GEICO commercial. it makes me smile.

i posted a few weeks ago about how i filed disability due to breaking my fingers on my dominant (typing hand) falling down my apartment stairs. i submitted all my medical paperwork during the first week, called a few times the first week but no answer. i continued to call the claim worker for the next 2 weeks leaving various voicemails but no answer. i called her again friday and she finally answers only to let me know they dont have enough to support me being off work and that they will be denying the claim. obviously i plan to appeal the decision but wtf?! how do they expect me to work with literal broken fingers? im sure they couldnt do their job with broken fingers 🤦♀️💀💀

I’m not licensed but I handle special handling states so my knowledge is super limited. Feel free to make your own map from the [r/whereidlive](r/whereidlive) sub

I sell home Insurance. my company asked me to trial a new partner; and it would only be one state instead of about 20. lowered my sales target, but after some time I realizes that sales target was no where in reach . they said i wouldnt Make less money but I am. A lot less, took away extra hours , no overtime. My company hasn’t said a word to us, I’m so miserable, making so much less money . So demoralizing. But they said I wouldn’t make less by doing this. Thinking of applying to Geico. Would this happen aT Geico, or should I be happy where I am and suck it up? Thanks

This may have been asked already, but am I reading this correctly that I have to pay fidelity each pay period, which means it is no longer being paid pre-tax?

So I have my second interview tomorrow for auto service rep and it’s an hour long. I’ve literally practiced all the questions that came to mind and still barely hitting 20 minutes. Is there a reason why it’s so long? Are there any special questions geico managers ask? Like I just wanna be ready to sell my soul to the lizard already

For anyone that got fucked on bloody Thursday, what was the severance package offered? And yes I know it’s not offered anymore since they now fire everyone. I just need it for a demand, building a case. Thanks everyone.

Did anyone else noticed a drop of their total portfolio amount after switching from Vanguard ? And no the market didn’t drop drastically in 2 weeks.

Are there another round of layoffs/firings happening in staff counsel?

I finally resigned from the Melville office at geico and it feels so good , it’s like a weight off my chest I truly hated that company and even though I did it without a back up plan I atleast have a healthy savings and have applied to other companies . I just couldn’t take it anymore

How do you guys come up with the math for gens and meds for soft tissue injury claims for bi? Can you give me an example? The excel sheet is a bit confusing.
If the person went to urgent care is it better to just do an f&f instead of open ended?
If open ended is up to limits would we subtract the limits amount, for example when someone has 10/20 coverage instead of saying we will pay you $2500 for gens and then we will set aside 10k we SHOULD say we will pay $2500 for gens and set aside $7500?
FOR FL ARC REPS:
I’m curious because in Fl, bi is optional, bi limits can be very low, there’s no uimbi coverage, it’s a threshold state, and many hospitals have liens; how often do people get attorneys for soft tissue and how much do you guys even pay out? I would hate to be an attorney down there. I feel like they can only profit from serious injuries.

So will Tony Nicely ever come out of hidden to say anything of what became of the company that he ran for so many years I’m sure Nancy P speaks to him

I have never before received a "promotion" that was an absolute downgrade in every conceviable way, including a massive pay cut. Great way to reward people for their high performance and hard work, assholes!

With everything that's happened at GEICO over the last several years, and now another round of supervisors and LDPs being let go, there's one question that keeps coming up:
When do the cuts finally stop?
Maybe that's the wrong question.
What if this isn't a temporary cycle? What if this is simply how GEICO operates now?
GEICO clearly had legitimate business problems a few years ago. Loss costs exploded, rates weren't keeping up, Progressive had advantages in important areas, and profitability suffered. Something had to change.
But what started as fixing those problems seems to have evolved into a completely different way of running the company.
Profit sharing disappeared. Headcount dropped significantly. Departments were reorganized. Performance became increasingly metric driven. The October 2023 layoffs happened. Reorganizations, reductions, and terminations continued afterward.
Here's the uncomfortable part:
Financially, it worked.
GEICO made roughly $3.6 billion in underwriting profit in 2023, $7.8 billion in 2024, and $6.8 billion in 2025. Policies eventually started growing again. Berkshire has said GEICO's workforce was reduced by almost a third.
So two things can be true at the same time:
GEICO seriously damaged employee trust and a culture that once made people comfortable building careers there.
GEICO also became extremely profitable.
That's what makes the continuing cuts so difficult to explain as simply another round of cost cutting to get through a bad period.
GEICO isn't desperately trying to survive anymore. It's making billions.
So maybe this isn't about fixing a crisis.
Maybe it's about constantly asking how much leaner the company can become without hurting the business.
How many employees are actually necessary? How many supervisors? What work can be consolidated? What can technology automate? Can one person handle work that previously required two? Can 12 supervisors do what previously required 16?
And then there's LDP.
Continuing a Leadership Development Program while supervisors are being terminated already raises questions. But what's happening to some LDPs makes the risk even harder to understand.
These are employees who presumably performed well enough in their previous positions to be selected for leadership development. They took the chance and moved into LDP, and now some who aren't being selected to continue in leadership aren't simply being returned to the jobs they previously performed successfully.
They're being terminated.
Think about the message that is sent to someone considering LDP.
Take a position you're already successful in, enter a development program because the company believes you have leadership potential, and potentially end up without a job if the company later decides you're not the supervisor it wants.
Why would a strong employee voluntarily take that risk?
From GEICO's perspective, though, LDP may still make perfect sense.
Maybe LDP isn't about needing more supervisors. Maybe it's about maintaining a pool of potential supervisors for however many positions GEICO ultimately decides it needs.
Evaluate a larger group. Promote the people the company wants. Terminate some who don't make it. Replace existing supervisors where appropriate. Eliminate supervisory positions that aren't needed.
That provides enormous flexibility for GEICO.
It places considerably more risk on the employee.
Obviously, r/GEICO has a negative bias. People who are angry, miserable, or recently terminated are much more likely to post than people who had a perfectly normal day at work. Rumors get repeated as facts, and plenty of predictions here have never happened.
So, everything posted here deserves some skepticism.
But the opposite is also true. When people from different departments and locations describe similar changes over several years, and significant portions of those observations eventually line up with things that actually happen, it doesn't make sense to dismiss all of it as disgruntled employees complaining.
Maybe the simplest explanation is this:
GEICO had genuine business problems.
Todd Combs fundamentally changed the way the company operates.
The changes produced extraordinary financial results.
They also destroyed a significant amount of employee trust.
Combs is gone.
The operating philosophy doesn't appear to be.
And maybe that's the key to understanding what's happening now.
A person doesn't necessarily have to be a bad employee to lose a job under this model.
A supervisor doesn't necessarily have to be a bad supervisor.
An LDP doesn't necessarily have to have been a bad employee before entering the program.
If technology, consolidation, or restructuring means GEICO decides 12 people can do what previously required 16, four people are going.
They don't all have to be poor performers.
GEICO may simply have decided it doesn't need their chairs anymore.
So, instead of asking when all of this is finally going to end, maybe the better question is:
What if this is the end result?

This job flat out sucks. I currently work in the va beach office. They dont care about their employees just the customers. If you are a “Leader” they will literally fire you because your agents are stupid and lack common sense. You get rated based on how good your agents do, but you end up with a team full of idiots because all the good tenured people work the morning shifts. You can get rated a 3.9 and these dickheads will round you down to a 3. They continuously add more work/stress but no money to go along with it. The customers are some of the dumbest mfs you will ever encounter but geico wants you to kiss the ground they walk on. You can literally say 2 + 2 = 4 and them ass wipes still wouldnt understand. And if you dont make them understand, well prepare for a stupid ass lecture about what you could have done. everybody there hates it there. Everybody there is stressed out, overworked, and under paid. Ive had to tell new agents to get out of here ASAP. Do not stay at this company. LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. Stay away from this company. They dont care about their employees, they will slave you and pay you pennies, and the commercials are ass lol

Sooooo the commercial sales department in Richardson is already going downhill!! Who could have ever foreseen this?!
Just kidding, I totally called it. They over hired WAY too many reps on the floor and the call volume is not matching the amount of people. They’re starting to fire people for “performance”, but really they’re letting people go left and right because commercial sales is an absolute shit show !
The process SUCKS, the script SUCKSS, the grading metrics SUCKKKKKKK. This is just a God awful department. I think it’s really unfair that the people who feel this will be the struggling agents who left their previous jobs for THIS role, it’ll never be the sups or managers. The people who OVER HIRED everyone in the first place!
Let’s also not forget that the supervisors are incompetent, and they’re basically training everyone to lie, cheat, and gaslight these customers. They’re want us to SCARE them into buying instead of letting them choose for themselves… all for the sake of THEIR metrics. Well, people are growing wiser to the bullshit and we are getting more and more calls in complaining about the selling tactics. It’s almost as if fully grown adults don’t LIKE being manipulated by greedy agents?! Who would’ve THOUGHT !

I am mentally getting to the end of my rope. I’m already medicated to deal with this place. Turning Unrepped into a call center was one of their dumbest updates and it is getting to me.
I have to get out of here. Any leads? I have applied to everything I can find. I have done so many screening “interviews” with National General.
If anyone is willing to give a referral, I can send you my resume to screen me first.
