I have started reading books few month back and feels like I am going nowhere else like after reading a books 40/50 pages I feel like I am doing nothing and not getting any valuable knowledge from that book. I have tried with some famous best sellers books but after some time feel board at reading that book. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong ?

Hi guys, I'm new to the world of reading. I'm just starting out, so I don't know any genre I like or what I love to read. I'm starting as a clean slate so I can explore any genre without a preconceived perspective and observe myself to understand where I lean more. Can you help me out and suggest a few to start with?

As of now I've decided to start with 1984 by George Orwell (the reason is so weird — I was scrolling Blinkit and found this book there, so now I'm starting with it).

Any romance book recommendations??!!!
