Anyone have tailgating plans?

Are there any Sooner bars or OU watch parties in downtown or South Austin? If there isn’t, how is the turnout at High 5 in North Austin?

To start, I’m not an OU fan — just a big CFB fan! I graduated from Mississippi State and I’m working to make my way to all the SEC stadiums.

I’m in N. Texas for the next few weeks on military orders, so I just bought a ticket to see OU v. NM on 9/19!

Excited to see Norman and all that it has to offer, so I wanted to see if you all have recommendations. I’ll be driving up that morning and, depending on how good of a time I have, I may stay overnight.

Any good recommendations for restaurants, bars, public tailgates, etc. are appreciated!

Would love to know fellow Sooners opinions on this. In my personal opinion, you shouldn’t ever storm the field if you consider your program a blue blood. You’re supposed to win. You’re supposed to defy odds, you’re supposed to act like you belong on whatever field you find yourself. That doesn’t mean act like a stuck up ass, but it does mean you don’t storm the field beating anyone.

I think Michigan fans looked absolutely ridiculous last night. Regardless of the controversy surrounding the play, you beat a team you were favored by 27.5 points, on a last second toss up.

Personally, I didn't even think we should have stormed the field two years ago against Bama. What are your thoughts? Under what circumstances, if any, does Oklahoma storm the field?

Hi there! I am wondering about OU medical. I am currently a sophomore in college and am wanted to apply to OU medical when it comes time. I was wondering how many hours of volunteer work, clinical practice, and research hours I need? Is OU very harsh about their requirements for that? Also, how you do like med school there?

I tried to make it to the football game in time today for the baseball signatures for my 10 year old, but between getting off work late and traffic we missed the cutoff for the line by about 15 minutes.

If anyone got something extra signed, I would gladly be willing to pay for it!!

trying to sign up for intramural flag football. I think that as a freshman I can only sign up in the residential league and not in the men’s open league. I don’t see any other teams in the residential leagues though I’m worried they won’t end up having one. Can I sign up in the men’s open? I tried emailing them but have not heard back and the deadline is Tuesday and of course they are closed for the holiday.

We run a weekly tailgate-focused show in Michigan where we break down regional food culture across football. We're putting together our tailgate menu for the Oklahoma game and want to make sure we represent Norman properly on the grates and in the lots.

What are the staples at your lots outside Memorial Stadium? Is smoked bologna actually king, or are there lesser-known favorites we should throw in the smoker?

Also, if anyone traveling needs recommendations on parking, butcher shops for local sausage, or spots around town, fire away!

When I looked through OU’s website, a lot of the links for returning students just didn’t work lol. I’m only 8 upper division elective hours shy of actually having a bachelor’s, but now it’s been so long that I just have no idea how to even get the ball rolling. I live in a different time zone and work during normal business hours, so just cold calling and getting passed around on the phone until I get the right person would be difficult to pull off. Any and all advice welcome, tyia!
