I keep seeing people commenting about how she has black mold in her house because of the dark nasty stuff near the air vents of her house. I believe the people saying this don’t have experience living in a dirty, hoarded home or experience with black mold. Not a judgement against them because I wouldn’t wish either of those on anyone, but I do and that’s not what’s happening. The dark nasty stuff is crap floating in the air that’s been pushed by the air currents coming from the vents into the popcorn ceiling. Any smoke, lint, dust, etc floating in the air and getting caught in the texture of the ceiling. Her vents and ceilings have simply never been cleaned or dusted, probably minimum since her grandmother passed away. But if her grandmother was anything like her mother, the last cleaning may have been the previous owner/when it was built. Minimum 15 years of grime built up. Given how often they have the a/c on, that area is probably too dry to grow mold, unless there’s a bathroom above it. Not that it’s any better for her lungs, but idk it just annoyed me that people kept labeling it black mold and wondering how she was ignoring it. Shes not ignoring a mold infestation that would be actively killing her and would take thousands to clean and rid the house of it fully. She’s simply ignoring an inch’s worth of dirt and grime that could be cleaned up with a broom or vacuum and without even having to bend down 🤷‍♀️
