After 2 years of solo development, my WWII puzzle deckbuilder Panzer Deck is releasing on September 22!
I'm a solo dev and I'm excited to finally announce that my game, Panzer Deck, will launch on Steam on September 22, 2026.
What is it? Itās a 2D turn-based WWII wargame combining deckbuilding with spatial, grid-based puzzle tactics (inspired by titles like Into the Breach and Advance Wars).
- Core loop: Manage your deck to deploy armor, artillery, and infantry onto a tactical grid where positioning, terrain, and line of sight dictate survival.
- Hand-drawn visuals: All art and animations are completely custom, crafted in a gritty comic-book style.
- Release: Full launch on Steam with a complete campaign mode and standalone tactical scenarios.
There is a playable demo available on the Steam page if you want to test the mechanics before the launch: Panzer Deck On Steam
Happy to answer any questions about the mechanics or solo development!

Video After around 5 failed factory game prototypes over 10 years, making the pieces have real shapes finally made it click. I'm making Clogwork, and the free demo just came out.
I have 15 years of experience in the games industry, but always working for others.
Ever since getting hooked on cracktorio, I've wanted to make a factory game. I tried many times but nothing was working.
One of them even got very far, but there was nothing fun about it, the player would just choose recipes and send the ingredients. Just to make some robots. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't fun either.
Then this idea came up, prototyped it, and loved it. Started thinking about what I could do to the pieces. Cut them, glue them together, push them, rotate them... And everything could be done to the pieces without leaving the belts.
I must admit the game is a bit hard for beginner. But I just released the free demo on Steam and I would love any type of feedback (good or bad).

[ Knode: Untangle & Connect ] I created, alone, a meditative puzzle about untangling knots that will captivate you for 4-5 hours
You're stuck on some weird ocean platform and your whole job is: trace actual, fully-simulated cables through a mess of knots and plug them into the right rack. no fake animations, no "pretend" tangles, if a knot looks solvable it's because it genuinely is, physics and all.
There's also a companion that watches everything you do and comments on it. It's friendly. Suspiciously friendly.
12+ levels, about 4-5 hours if you take your time, no timers, no fail states, no punishment, just vibes and untangling. there's a tiny upgrade shop too if you want extra tools along the way. level editor + workshop support coming not long after launch, so more knots eventually, made by you or me.
Release is coming very soon:Ā https://store.steampowered.com/app/4959570/Knode_Untangle__Connect/

Game hardware requirements in a scarce hardware environmentā¦
Far as long as Iāve been gaming (decades), the brand new games pushed PCs to their limits⦠fairly comfortable in the knowledge that advancement in hardware would pretty quickly catch up to the gameās requirements.
But the situation has changed. The cost for cutting edge hardware is rapidly approaching ludicrous. And it appears it will be this way for the foreseeable future.
So a game thatās targeting a release in the next year or two, are these developers anticipating hardware thatās on a curve that most people wonāt reach? Or are they dialing things back?
Anyone with first hand knowledge?
