Like so many others, I love this market. I think the produce and meat are a great deal.
We loved their prepared food. I know everything is going up. But it seems like itās really going up.
In particular the whole chicken (pollo Asado) was something we would always get. It is 20 dollars now.
Correct me if Iām wrong, but it used to be 11.99. Then went to 14.99 and now 20. This is without sides. I think itās 35 dollars if you get the āmealā This seems to be over a 1.5 year time frame.
Am I not correct on this? Then there is the prepared guacamole pricesā¦

Not anything super fancy. Thai, Italian, Korean, Chinese, BBQ, Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, Peruvian, steak house, Cuban or anything else you love to go to. Price range up to $50 per person or a little more is fine. I know that may not seem casual to some, but inflation has inflated the casual experience, especially if itās quality food. Appreciate all the recommendations.

I co-founded Culture OC, a nonprofit arts & culture news site covering Orange County, and lately I've been thinking about what actually makes a healthy arts community.
It's easy to think first about the obvious things ā good artists, strong theaters and museums, concerts, festivals and audiences. But what about everything around them? Arts education, affordable places to create and perform, volunteers, funding, journalism and criticism, opportunities for new artists, and ways for people to discover work they don't already know about?
I've been wondering whether there are parts of Orange County's cultural life that we don't pay much attention to until they're weakened or gone ā and whether we'd make different choices if we thought more about the health of the whole.
I wrote about that question for Culture OC today: https://cultureoc.org/what-does-a-healthy-arts-ecosystem-really-look-like/
But I'm especially interested in hearing from people who live here, whether or not you work in the arts: What's one thing Orange County's arts and culture community needs to thrive that isn't getting enough attention?

Update: Bird n Bun replied to my email and issued a full refund.
I ordered a Bird n Bun fried chicken sandwich with waffle fries through the Anaheim food company website. Instead they gave me a hamburger with crinkle fries. And a note that said āSorry fried chicken and waffle fries are not available.ā
I paid $23.55 for this false advertisement.
No one contacted me before or after the order to ask whether a substitution was acceptable, and I was not given the chance to cancel. I paid for one item and was given a different one without my consent.

West Garden Grove. Service was out for a lot of us in OC on 8/29. Funny enough mine wasnāt when I got the text saying there was an issue.
But then it went out on Monday 8/31 and here it is a week later and nothing. All I get is a random text at 9 am every day saying āyou donāt have internet, weāre still working on itā. Customer support is clueless (not their fault) and eventually talked to someone somewhere that said 400 households in this area are still affected as on Thursday.
My work also uses frontier and itās been dropped connections this whole time but still mostly running.
Just seeing if anyone is still without service or if you managed to complain to right person to get it fixed.

For Providence providers that accept St Jude Medical Health Center network plans (medicaid) - and those who have experienced doctors in:
Cardiologist
GI doc
Sleep medicine
Rheumatology
Podiatry
Physical therapist
Physical medicine rehab
Do you guys have any recommendations or bad experiences with specific doctors?
I am considered a complex patient but I recently switched over to providence. So far my pcp experience with Jenny han was incredibly helpful. I am currently waiting for my referrals to get approved and was hoping to get some insight from personal experiences.
TIA ā”

Hey everyone!
One of our women players had to step away for personal reasons, so weāre on the hunt for 1 to 2 experienced women to join our coed 11s soccer team for the rest of the season, specifically someone with Midfield experience but open to other positions!
We play Wednesday nights in Newport Beach near UCI, with kickoff at either 7:05 or 8:45pm. Itās a fun city rec league, and weād love to find players with some experience, whether competitive or recreational.
If you want a group thatās been playing together for a couple seasons now, come join us!
feel free to drop a comment or send me a message if youāre interested or have questions!
