I'm looking for songs that I can listen to while I stare at the ceiling at 2am and feel miserable. Like the songs that sound kind of peaceful but have lyrics I can wallow to. Every time I look for recommendations for sad/miserable songs the recommendations are mostly rock songs and I love rock but I want something quiet and more surreal sounding.

Much like Bowie “We Prick You” or Gabriel “We Do What We’re Told.” Was having trouble thinking of others. (“We are the World” makes sense as a “we”)

Love is unequivocally the most popular songwriting subject ever and yet, there’s only like four or five words that actually rhyme with the word love. Of those four or five words, ‘glove’ is the most preposterous one to attempt to rhyme in a way that makes any thematic sense whatsoever.

What are some songs that attempt this utterly ridiculous rhyme?

The two I can think of are both classic standards.

In ‘Misty’ we get, “Never knowing my right foot from my left / My hat from my glove.”

And in ‘Like Someone in Love’ there’s, “Each time I look at youI'm limp as a glove.”

Just listened to Dry Kill Logic 's 3 albums today. I only knew "good night" and "pain" for a while and listened to everything else for the first time. I'm looking for stuff just like it. I also like the band Slaves on Dope and their ep "klepto" and 2nd album " inches from the mainline"
