BuySellRoot Monthly Modular Buy Sell Trade Thread

Upvotes

With any sort of trade, please be careful if you don't know the other user. Request additional pictures beyond the initial time stamp. If you want to be extra careful ask for something specific like for them to patch a specific patchpoint in the image. Try reverse image searching to make sure it isn't just an edited picture from somewhere else. Be specific with how you expect the items to be packaged and when the ship date is going to be. If a trade goes sour and someone can show that the pre-agreed terms weren't honored I will permanently ban the offending trader.

Consider using something something like PayPal's "Goods and Services" instead of friends and family. Sending a stranger money via friends and family is just asking to be scammed. I also recommend checking that the user has some positive history in the sub - especially to verify that they aren't banned from here! Almost every scammer on here has no history in the sub.

**IMPORTANT** \- Do not spam the comments with your listings. Please limit your listings here to 1 per month. If you get new items or things change, just edit your original post. When possible simply edit the original post; there is no need to announce new items in a separate comment. Try to limit the clutter.

Do not delete your posts and re-post to bump back up to the top. BEHAVE PLEASE.

Pictures are not required in the thread (though you should request them by DM), but ANY picture sent by DM or in linked in the thread MUST be physically timestamped.

**PRICES MUST ALWAYS BE POSTED** This includes trades so that everyone involved knows the fair value of the modules they're looking to swap

**RESIST THE URGE TO COMMENT ON PRICING** if you don't like a price, simply ignore it. There is no reason to go around pointing out that the item is cheaper new, or reverb prices, or anything else.

I feel like I under appreciated the sequencer on the Moog Matriarch for too long. I've been writing some progressions, and then modulating the sequencer for some fun rhythms. This Jam was one of my favourites recently

First demo that I'm happy with for the O_C applet I just finished coding. It's a generative melodic sequencer with two voice outputs and the ability to arp either or both of them. It will also mutate the melody as time goes on in a turing machine-like way. O_C firmware version here: https://github.com/charlieb/O_C/

Deep Techno Modules

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I need some help picking out modules to get.

I make deep hypnotic techno like Claudio PRC, Anthony Linell, Luigi Tozzi, Vladw. Right now I do most of it in ableton and also got a Digitone 2 last week. The only thing I'm really struggling with is deep basslines and synths/melodies in general.
I want to get some modular gear bc I think especially for those really deep basslines analog will always sound way warmer and just better.

Now I need help picking something that is gonna help with that. (I know depending on what I get I'm also gonna need other modules to make sound but just focusing on the basslines/synths part I would appreciate some input so I know how much money I have to save haha.)

In a masterclass from Anthony Linell he mentioned that he made the bassline with the quadrantid swarm so maybe that would be an option?

Anyways, I'm thankful for any help!!

Anybody using a sequential switch with a Morphagene?

Upvotes

I’m trying to fill out the last bits of hp for a small case. Wondering if anyone has found any creative use cases for using a sequential switch with the Morphagene.

Bloom V1 root note issue

Upvotes

When I stand on the green channel. I listen to my sequences. I click channel and go to the blue channel and both sequences scales are changed slightly. I click back to green channel and both sequences scales go back to normal.

I have factory reset the device holding length and shift while booting but the issue remains.

I’m going a little bit crazy

My recordings are a bit flat

Post image
Upvotes

I’m replacing the FF Static with a 6hp sample player which leaves a last 4hp. My recordings seem a bit flat. I’m recording powernoise and loud soundscapes the sound doesn’t really impress me. I’m thinking a compressor would help out and I’m also wondering if the compressor is best as an insert on the mixer or post mixer. Maybe it’s something else. The one I’m considering (almost bought it just now) is the WMD MSCL. I was just thinking I’d have better dynamics in the recordings but they’re kind of boring and if I record any louder it’s too tinny. The recordings are still good but I’m looking to improve.
Thanks!

A little hypnotic techno, glitches and granular textures.
Still getting familiar with this wonderful module, but really enjoying it. I love how expressive and hands-on it feels to play with recorded gestures and transform them.

Gear Pics kms001 Various Types of Noise — multifunctional noise generator module

Thumbnail

Upvotes

This is kind of a repost, since I already posted this module this spring, but I made cool new panel (black one), better photos and my previous post was deleted by reddit, so...

I'm making my own modules and I have been wanting a noise source for my DIY setup for a long time. Usually, noisegen modules come with sample-and-hold, but I already had an S&H-ish module in my rack, so I decided to come up with something more interesting.

After experimenting for a while with different designs, I came up with the idea of a white, blue, pink noise generator with additional features, such as:

- grainulizer (taken from MFOS with my adjustments)

- internal transistor-based VCA (not Sallen-Key)

- internal decay envelope generator

The original idea with VCA+Decay was to recreate the hats from the track Castision — Nothing to do, but it turned out that it is good for any incoming CV (check the video!).

The art on the panel is "Various types of ads" — Rory in early 20s album cover, which serves as a light diffuser for the noise color indicator. Additionally, there are slow RGB LED (the one with an internal MCU for automatic color changing).

Probably unpopular rig idea - My first rig made out of Behringer?

Upvotes

I love playing around with software synths and got a Moog Grandmother for Christmas 2024. Ever since then, I've wanted to build my first Eurorack / modular synth. I also got a Novation 61 SL Mk3.

I found a cheap used Behringer Eurorack Go case together with a Behringer Brains and Four Play.

My idea is to build on these and get more Behringer modules to complete the rig:

Behringer Eurorack Go Case (bought)

Behringer Brains (bought)

Behringer Four Play (bought)

Behringer Abacus

Behringer Skies

Behringer Waves

Behringer Swords

Behringer Surges

Behringer CP1A

Unfortunately, the Behringer Chaos isn't available right now.

What do you think? Would this be a fun first rig? What am I missing? I would love to get some advice/feedback. Please don't bash me too hard...

Make Noise Morhagene // Glitching out a Multiwave drone

Thumbnail
youtu.be
Upvotes

I have too many samplers, and I started my mission to find better or more interesting uses for each of them.
The power of the Morphagene lies in being part of a modular system; for example, why not sequence its parameters with the 0-Ctrl?
After changing the S.O.S. mode to make it suitable for live FX usage, I've spent more time than I want to admit (but that's the fun part of modular, isn't it?) constructing this puzzle of balances between something that would become pleasantly glitched, without being annoying or too repetitive, a controlled chaos, if we want.
Ideally, I would have wanted 2 Multimod, to have both stepped and smooth modulations, or maybe a DXG, to control pauses for the Multiwave, but the game was also making something fun and portable in 62HP, and I am pretty satisfied with this first experiment; it won't be the last, so stay tuned, and feel free to comment with your favorite setting for the Morphagene and ideas for a travel setup.

Beginner looking for module recommendations

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm a beginner to Eurorack and I'd love to get some feedback and module recommendations for my rack.

My main goal is to make techno, but I also want to be able to patch polyphonic sounds occasionally.

I've attached a picture of my planned rack. Out of the modules shown in the picture, I have already purchased the Cwejman QMMF-4, Livewire AFG, and R-56.

Could you give me some advice on what modules I might be missing, or suggest any changes to my current plan? Any feedback or recommendations for a beginner would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
