I was just thinking the same thing. I can’t not think about that episode everytime some douche in a Harley sits around revving their engine needlessly.
The town I used to live in. These guys down the street would just go hog wild at all hours of the night or day just being as loud as possible up and down the streets. It’s a small town in Iowa. They could’ve gone two miles and been out of the town and on pretty empty paved roads but nooo. It wasn’t about the bike. It was about advertising their tiny peen to the entire town.
I always feel bad for them, that their engine is running so poorly that they have to work the throttle just to keep it running. I remember some $300 and $500 cars I had like that when I was young.
I don’t know if it’s true or not but I used to work with a guy who repaired lathes and other machine shop equipment. He said he’d been to the Harley plant where they have top of the line machining equipment but they still manufacture the engines to a crappier spec because people want that noise.
I’ve heard that noise and the vibrations associated with it lead to inordinate amounts of maintenance on those bikes. I believe the works were “rattle themselves to pieces”.
Had a guy tell me his idle was so choppy from the cam, that he had to rev it like that just to keep it running. I was like, no dude that bike is either broken or you just crave attention. 😂
Or you get the loud pipes save lives argument. Which has been disproven since you know modern cars have soundproofing in the cabin. Or you’re listening to music or whatnot. Then they post their woe is me memes on Facebook like they’re some disadvantaged group in need of protection. Their “freedom” becomes everyone else’s burden.
My co-worker went on vacation to some touristy island off the coast of Maine last year. Traffic was terrible. He was behind a motorcyclist in the downtown stop and go. Apparently the biker thought my friend was following too closely so he gets off his bike and comes banging on the drivers side window to tell off my friend. My friend replies hey I can see asphalt between me and your rear tire from behind my steering wheel. Well apparently that didn’t sit well with the Harley douche so he sucker punched my friend, hops back on his bike. Runs the light to get away.
Most biker clubs are like elderly boomers who do charity rides and stuff, usually respectful of these types of things. So yeah either the last band of real criminal bikers, or cosplaying
So yeah, you could fuck around and take a chance that they are a bunch of death adjacent geriatrics cosplaying as a gang, but the finding out part can get bad.
I recently visited Ocean Beach in San Diego after having not been in town for years and noticed a conspicuous lack of motorcycle presence. When I asked around about it, turns out that about 3 years ago there was a racially motivated attack where the local Hell's Angels chapter chased down a couple black guys and stabbed one of them in the chest in broad daylight while yelling at him that he doesn't belong in Ocean Beach, all because one of the black guys talked to one of their girls.
Literally Jim Crow era shit, in 2023.
Hell, just this weekend a crew of Henchmen rode past me on the 101.
All this to say, there are a lot of tough Redditors in this thread with zero street smarts. Motorcycle gangs are real and closer than you think.
I saw a homeless guy get arrested awhile back, right by the patio for the bar/restaurant I was at.
He was freaking out, saying they had to get him out of there. The cops calmed him down a little and finally figured out he'd been hanging out at a biker bar/club around the corner. He was complaining about getting jumped by bikers and still agitated.
One of the cops just yelled at him "that's what you get for hanging out with people that make people disappear"
The cop didn't say disappear, think buried, forcefully deceased but the automod warned me not to use that word for some reason.
The guys in that bike "club" look super normal, they're pretty polite too. They absolutely would end someone that pushed over their bikes or disrespected them though.
I have yet to meet a “respectful” Harley owner. They may be respectful people off their bike but once they don their cosplaying outfits they degenerate into asshats.
Yea at first I was like “well most bikers are actually pretty chill, you could prob just go ask them” then I saw it. Nvm call the cops and get them towed.

Source: I'm from New York, where the Hells Angels have been for decades, and have a lot of family - who I stopped associating with year's ago - who were/are a part of these gangs for just as long.

There’s a lot of crossover. There are clubs that aren’t outright
white supremacists but allow white supremacists members. Yes, I understand that makes the whole gang racists, because they are believe me. But that doesn’t mean that’s what the club is set up for. By that I mean some clubs main setup is for riding and also selling meth and robbing places, but they all aren’t going to be riding at Nazi rallies, In fact most probably forbid it because it looks bad and brings attention. Some will though too! I’ve spent time in some biker bars because of where I lived at the time, also my step father was a Colorado State Trooper in the 90’s when the Sons Of Silence were at their peak and he told me some crazy stories and went with him sometimes and saw crazy things. There were huge black biker gangs at the time too and he has gone on rides where he saw dudes with white supremacists patches all over with their arms around the black bikers shoulders drinking all day and loving each other at these rides. It’s bizarre to hear and see it. My stepfather knew this even more intimately because believe it or not the highway patrol and remote Sherrif’s offices had THEIR own biker club called the Blue Knights and all of them rode together, obviously not when they were doing the crime stuff, they just don’t talk about it. It’s an insanely fascinatingly weird and scary subculture. A LOT of it has to do with prison culture. Hence the racial division but at the same time camaraderie. I’m glad I never got stuck with him too deep after being that impressed upon by him, my mom left him when I was 15 because cops whore around on their wives a lot. Once step dad started getting into that biker subculture too deep, moms was out and told him to hop on the Hog and keep on riding. Sorry for the slightly drunk/high rant though, haven’t thought about those times in awhile. All that being said it very well be some Illinois Full On Nazi Club, I’m just saying it could just be the one dude. And yes I know the whole guilt by association thing, I just wanted to point out that bikers are fucking weird, and Southpark’s right.
Was gonna say, I’ve seen some non-white bikers (Latinos and black people) with SS logos on their stuff. I think that a huge chunk of biker gangs are white supremacists but I also think that there’s a good number of them who use the symbol for the edgy shock counter-culture aspect.
If it is a private parking lot you have to contact the manager of the store that owns it to have them towed. (Most) Police will just shrug and say it's not their problem.
For most parking violations, yes. But handicapped violations are different. Cops absolutely will come out and enforce it. Then again, some departments may care more than others, big city departments may take an hour to respond, and some individual lazy officers may decide to not do anything. But it's worth the call.
Hi I work in a private building that’s open to the public and you’re almost correct. The police will handle that. Businesses do not hand out fines for parking violations, at the most they will give out citations that just state “hey you can’t do this, do it again and we’ll call the cops.” So OP should definitely call the cops, this is just rude and apathetic of the bikers
Likely not a gang but a bunch of weekend warriors who throw on leathers and ride and ignore more than half the rules of the road while yelling loud pipes save lives.

While I do know a couple of fellow bikers who have handicap plates, these guys are just being assholes.
I’m a biker. I don’t (nor do any of my fellow club members) EVER park in/blocking a handicap spot. For us, it’s part of the unwritten “biker code”.
If I’d have ridden up on that, I’d have said something to them.
Most bikers I know, even 1%ers, are not rude enough to do this.
That “SS” on the one bike says it all. I do know of a few like that, Nazi symbols on their bikes. They are largely shunned by the rest of us.

I was looking at these pictures more closely with my wife, and saw another “SS” on a helmet, and what looked like the last three letters of “Vagos”.
If it was a group of them, they are indeed bad news. They are a tier down from the “Big Four” of 1% MCs (Hells Angels, Pagans, Outlaws, and Banditos), and a very dangerous criminal bunch. I’d said that I’d have approached and called them out…and usually would, but NOT a group like them. The Vagos are bad news of the worst kind. They give decent bikers a bad name.
Most groups where I live are veteran-oriented and even our local 1% types are largely veterans and mostly good guys. But we do have a few Pagans and Vagos, and they are the ones to avoid.
Instead of calling the cops like some people suggested, call a tow company. Less likely to deal with more racist assholes, and these guys have to pay to get their bikes back

The city where I live you can report it to the sheriff and they will all get towed. Often times the sheriff is there in like 10 minutes and the tow trucks in 15. Sounds great right? But reporting kids throwing a chunk of concrete through my bedroom window and they don't show up until 3 am.
