Grammar/ไวยากรณ์ เผื่อ when it means "just in case"

Can I use this word on its own to mean "just in case" or do I have to specify the "in case of what?" For example, can I just say กดเงินไว้เผื่อ or do I have to add something meaning "...they don't take cards", "...it turns out to be more than we thought" etc.

You can switch ไว้เผื่อ to be เผื่อไว้ and suddenly it won’t require the reason.

กดเงินไว้เผื่อ [require the reasoning such as ซื้อของ, เงินไม่พอ etc.]

กดเงินเผื่อไว้ (is a complete sentence already).

Yes, you can use "เผื่อ" on its own without any extra word. it already mean "just in case".

Yes, you have to add something meaning "...they don't take cards."
