TLDR:

Not sure if this is a house or a tokay gecko... or something else.

Location: Manila, Philippines

Reasons it might be a house gecko: Coloring, Google Lens says so

Reasons it might be a tokay: It's bigger and darker than any house lizards I've seen before (estimated 10 inches long); I've been hearing a tokay inside my room for the past few nights (been waking up in the middle of the night with how loud it is)

These are the two species I thought it might be but I might also be completely off and it's something else entirely.

Whichever one it turns out to be, are there any tips for how to trap/capture it so I can set it free outside?? I don't mind it and am grateful for the bug control, I just don't like that it's in my room and roams around while I'm asleep 😭😭

found this little creature wandering around inside my apartment, so i caught it. by the way, this little guy is wounded and only has one eye. fortunately, i know how to take care of this type of reptile since i already have a leopard gecko, so i can use what i’ve learned to carefully nurse it back to health and hopefully help it recover.

Location : Eastern Mediterranean - close to Greek Islands.

Size : Tiny, almost the size of my fingertip.

Cuteness Level : Max - very cute

Is he a house gecko ? Should I be concerned about anything regarding biting or potential infections ?

I got Leebus the other day after he was sitting in the back of my local pet store for weeks. He was given to me labeled as a "House Gecko." Apparently he was brought in accidentally on an order of live plants, so no one really knows what exactly little Leebus is. He's ​​just a baby, so his coloration will probably change as he matures, but does anyone have any idea as to what he is?

The pics are from today when I tired handling him today, just to see what happens. He's oddly very handleable. He strolled right onto my hand when I offered it, and hung out with me looking around and enjoying my body heat. I only had him out for a few minutes, I didn't want to stress him out.​

So I know your supposed to build a tank after you decide what reptile your getting but I’ve been building up my 24x18x24 while still being on the fence between two. I have everything to meet the requirements of both and have done so much research but I’m at the stage of ordering plants for it and want to decide the gecko for this part.

I cannot for the life of me pick between gold dust day gecko or a chameleon gecko. My pro for the chameleon gecko is really just that its temperament is much slower. My pro for the gold dust gecko is that they’re cheaper (I still have money for vet visits and whatnot no matter what though). Honestly I’d just go for the day gecko but I’m so worried about him running or jumping away when I open the tank to mist or feed him or sneaking through in some tiny vent.

Just wondering what people’s insight on this would be, if I’m over exaggerating the issue with the day gecko or something.

the photo may be bad but i found this dark spot in my cresties (temporary) home, is it mold?? it’s like kinda hairy. how do i get rid of it and is it dangerous for my gecko? guys i really need help!

He is not dead. This is just a cool picture. Can you put his tail back and get the reflection of the glass away? I tried to use stage light setting in portrait on my iPhone. Unfortunately I can’t pay anything because I’m an underage adult with restrictions on money(I’m a child and can’t send strangers money. Just for clarification the first photo is the one I want to edit and the second for reference of the tail.

I’ve been looking for an enclosure but cannot find one thats suitable, please help.

I’m planning on releasing it soon, it shed it’s tail trying to escape me. He looks young so I didn’t want to drop him outside in the middle of the night without that layer of safety. I read that I should a large vertical tank, but I’m doing an unpaid internship in an apartment so I don’t have a lot of space to get ‘em back to tiptop shape. Is there any cheap ways to get a home fit for ‘em? Getting the bugs from a store won’t be an issue, more so worried about how to keep ‘em safe and comfortable.

Hey! Planning on getting a few mourning geckos as a start and i've searched up how much calcium each insect needs and found out that BSF (black soldier fly) have a ton of calcium in it.
The question is; if i gutload these insects with a BUTT of calcium efficent greens, can i then safetly feed them to my mourning geckos without supplements?
If i can't, do please tell around how much calcium each gecko needs so that i can see how much dusting i need to get.
Also, IF this is a viable sullution to the mourning geckos could it also be used for tokay geckos? Or would they need dusting as well?

We found this little guy under a desk while cleaning up the house this morning. I already had a few enclosures planted waiting for some kind of creature.

Can anyone give me an idea what we caught and if we can safely keep him? What size enclosure does he need now and also when full grown? I assume he can eat springtails and fruit flies which we keep on hand for dart frogs.

Any special care tips I need to know about these little guys?
