Cotton granny square dress! I have barely any experience with wearables but got inspired. I made the front panel and lower skirt and then fitted it up my body. I also tried a lot of strap versions but couldn’t find anything I liked. There are thin chained straps if strapless doesn’t work w body tape but hopefully it will.

i’ve always loved hearts, i think they are so cool and such hard workers and i’m so proud of my heart for going thump-a-thump without stopping for all this time so i wanted to make something to appreciate her <3

also this is just a swatch! i’m planning on making many things featuring a colorwork anatomical heart and i made this to see if it was even possible. i just wanted to share because just this swatch was sooo much work.

this was lots of fun to make especially because i just winged how to do the colorwork, i’m sure there’s a name for the technique i figured out but idk what it is. it certainly looks better than the knitted attempt i made, the tension was all wonky in that one. i’m primarily a knitter so i kinda just did intarsia but crochet version.

i now know that i love crochet colorwork! this is my first time doing it and i am already thinking about the possibilities. i just learned crochet about a month ago and i feel so silly for waiting so long! i love knitting and i thought crochet just wasn’t for me but that’s absolutely not the case. i’m so happy i can also call myself a crocheter now.

i used hobbii friends cotton and 3.0mm hook. i made the pattern myself using stitch fiddle.

i wish the darker red was more burgundy, it looked darker online but it looks like there are no other reds that are darker than the one i have, if anyone has any suggestions or advice or if they think the colors are fine as they are i would love to hear it.

Sorry for the dumb bathroom photo, I don't have a full size mirror anywhere else. This is my maxi skirt using Circulo Anne Sparkle Brazilian cotton yarn, about 3.5 balls (500m each) and a2 mm hook, so this was a yarn eater for sure. I spend about 30 hours crocheting this garment and enjoyed every minute of it. What I hated with passion was sewing an underskirt for it afterwards. I bought some satin fabric in golden brown color and tortured myself sewing the lining, but I don't recommend to anyone doing that by hand. Next time I'd rather spend money and buy a ready made undergarment. I will tackle a matching top eventually, but for the moment I'm rushing to make a thick fluffy cardigan for fall. I also am on the lookout for good affordable sequined cotton yarn. can't find anything good in the USA unfortunately. Has anyone used Circulo yarns? where do you get them from?

No pattern, just winging it. H hook, Big Twist Value yarn from Michael’s in Denim.

I’m becoming really smitten with using a hexi as a base and then adjusting from there. This is my second cardigan/sweater like this and I probably have another up my sleeve soon.

Here’s a bad explanation of how to make it:

BODICE (make 2)
- 16 rounds of a hexi granny, alternating between granny stitch clusters + solid DCs
- Join along two of the DC sides, to make the sleeve cap
- 3 more rounds of granny/DC to give some shoulder room
- 6 rows of DC on the bottom for some added length
- make a second one
- make 7 sunburst granny squares
- join 3 together for the front, 4 for the back and stitch to the sleeve/bodice pieces
- 2 rounds of DC in each space to add a little more length
- 5 rounds of alternating 2 FPDC, 1 BPDC for the bottom ribbing

NECKLINE
- 1 round of DC at the neckline, then alternate 2 FPDC, 1 BPDC (I think for only one round…I didn’t want to make the neckline much higher than it was)

SLEEVES
- 20 rounds granny clusters
- 1 round DC in each stitch
- 2 rounds alternating 2 FPDC, 1 BPDC

(I think I got it all!)

I'm adding two more rows to this blanket. It's going to be about 72"x72" without the border. I'm trying not to spend more money on this blanket. I have enough green, yellow, purple, left to make a boarder. I'm thinking about doing a shell boarder. Which color should I use?

I'm a complete beginner, so far I've been making mainly amigurumi which goes nice and fast.

I asked my mom what she would like as I love making stuff for other people, and she wanted a bag.

I'm sure it could have been done faster, but my god what a work 😭 it looked so much easier than it actually was!

Every square took me at least an hour including weaving in the ends, and there are 27 of them.

Then several days for the assembly and the handle.

But now it's nearly done. I will add a lining to it which will probably add some extra hours as well, as I have to hand-sew it and I've never done that before.

Now that it's almost done, I don't even like the bag that much anymore. Please tell me that is because I've been too close to the project 🥲

I have a whole new respect for anyone making these huge granny square blankets. You guys have so much patience.

I crocheted roses, lavender, and evergreen. Sadly I didn’t have time to make baby’s breath, but I still find the bouquet to be beautiful! I love my husband’s rose boutonniere and all of the other flowers I made for our family. People were complimenting my work left and right, believing it was bought. Nope! Both the bouquet and boutonniere were made with hard work and a lot of love. I’m keeping these flowers for forever and ever! 🤍

I just finished Stitch. This was the first time I crocheted something beyond a chain. And yes I do realize he is inside out.

Stash busting some scrap yarn into pumpkins! I think they turned out pretty cute ☺️

Took the star blanket snuggy and turned it into a Pooh since that's the nursery theme.

I got some glow in the dark yarn last Christmas and I think I made the most of it!

Just finished a 21-year span temperature blanket crocheted over the past few months (the first version got damaged and I had to start all over again). Each strip is one year. Each 6-stitch row in each strip is one day. Colors are max temperature for each day. We lived in 4 different US states. This commemorates our married years so far. Red heart yarn, mostly single crochet except parts of the border. 4.0mm hook, yarn under/yarn under. 🧶 Some mistakes were made, but I love how it turned out.

Pattern: Each day is one row: Single crochet (US), 6 stitches, chain 1, turn. Change colors as required by the maximum temperature for each day. After all 364 rows, the border in black is sc on the sides and dc on both ends of each strip. Stitch year strips together in black yarn with an embroidery needle. I don’t include leap days. I then did a border around the entire blanket: 2 rows sc, one row (green) dc, one row (yellow) sc.

The stitch is called virus stitch. And it took so long to finish but I’m very happy with the Lace look result.

This is only the second time I've submitted anything in any fair. I started it as a throwaway project to keep my hands busy while I read to my kids every night. As such, I crocheted most of this blanket in the dark. That's why it's such a simple design (you can't see it with it folded, but it's a basic 5 point star). I am in shock that it won, but I will say that consistent tension is my personal superpower. I am so proud; there were so many amazing yarn arts displayed!

Second picture is my other entry. It's arguably nicer, but I did make a bunch of mistakes along the top which are probably why it didn't place.

He’s crocheted with a poly-cotton blend, embellished with the loudest tinsel yarn, and stuffed with the dankest fluff. 🍃💜
He’s about 10” tall with his hat and 9” wide.
Fun fact: he’s #2 of his line, but the first I’m officially releasing into the wild. 😂

I have a feeling he may need some friends eventually… but for now, I’m pretty happy with this little guy!

I also have no pattern. He was just a labor of love and random increase/dec areas for the funkiest of shapes lol.

I usually don't mind factory knots that much because I use single colored yarn. This is one of the few times I'm using color changing yarn and it went okay for a while. There were some factory knots that didn't disrupt the whole color flow but this one is just the worst.

I'm making this blanket to clean out my stash. This has been a WIP for a long time now but I'm tempted to just put it down again because of this. I'm scared that it's going to be very obvious in the blanket.

My biggest filet crochet project yet! This puppy took about 1.5 months and 75 hours of work. :)

I used hobbii Friends Extra Fine Merino in the colors Sunflower, Shamrock, Dark Turquoise, Sapphire, Purple Rain, Pink, Tomato and Buckthorn. I used about 1/3 of a ball of each of the colors except the pink, where I used most of the ball. Apparently I didn't put my hook size in ravelry and I don't totally remember, but I think I used a 3mm.

I started with the pattern Moss Stitch Baby Cardigan by Allison McDonough but I modified the gauge, size, and colorwork.
