With BlizzCon being around the corner, we will no longer be removing Classic+ Suggestions and forwarding them to a Megathread.
Let your ideas run wild with BlizzCon Hype, and look forward to all the news as well as updates to the Subreddit Post BlizzCon!
During BlizzCon, we will have Event Mode turned on requiring all posts to be Manually Approved during the event.
Please bare with us as I know at least myself will be attending the event and as such will be busier, but we will try to get as much content through each hour.
Hope everyone enjoys what’s to come!

Seems to be the only person not invited to the Blizzcon creator stage. Leak-related or something else?

I know people just chain downvote these posts. so i don't really enjoy posting them or enjoy the back and forth because we will all know in a few days anyway.
I keep hearing people say the wow c+ team is small.. its not. and that they "only had like a year to make the game!" they didn't. but ill actually give proof just scroll through the images and ill do the claims 1 by 1.
graphic is in reverse chronological order- i didn't make it so idk why it is
People often say "well sod just ended last year!!! they had no time to make anything!" no blizzard has been working on C+ for at least 3 years now. you can see the dev build timeline of the current 1.60 client that has been identified as "project camelot" or "warcraft forever" back in presumably early 2023. so they were probably working on this while they were making sod (maybe even before sod which is crazy), it wasnt an afterthought. C+ was the plan all along seemingly. This is around the time metzen got heavily involved in blizzard again- he likely gave the green light.
in terms of the team size, no its not "ten people" working on this. 2024 the classic team was described as "a few dozen" i believe in several places. I put an image of one source from Gamespot. Then there was a bluepost after SoD ended in 2025 that stated the team had grown "literally and figuratively." So few dozen = 40-50? and it grew from there. This is evidenced in job listings posted since for serious dev roles which i cba to include- believe me or not i dont care. people will downvote and say its all fake anyway.

"but if the team size was so big then why did sod have weird rushed stuff like incursions or (imo) phases that lasted a bit too long?" cause they were probably working on C+ which was the main project. sod was just the testing ground but it wasnt a traditional "alpha" it was like a sideways alpha that ran alongside C+ development
Keep in mind vanilla wow team was also "a few dozen" people- like 50 or 60? And they didn't have the same tech, resources, or time (+Microsoft $$$). So this isnt a small project they're working on. IMO this is a big project and it's also evident by the sheer amount of WoW mainstage blizzcon content. SoD was a little blip on the radar last blizzcon but this year it's looking like multiple potential classic+ mainstage panels.

i know people are just going to say its all fake and untrue but people want to know so. for those who want to know, there is at least some reason to believe the team is getting some resources for once. feel free to pick it apart if need be it can help determine what is and isnt true but dont exaggerate pls
Edit" speculative side notes
People from the C+ team also worked on China Titanforge. Which is where some datamined assets are "hiding." It's likely they are also going to be crosspollinating from Titanforge since we aren't getting that version of the game. Not the systems necessarily but maybe the art, gear appearances, etc. There is so much wow content they can draw from to speed up the process that the OG team didn't have. maybe some retail devs can hop on too (the recent retail patch has been quite scuffed so... mayeb they're working on something else?? COPIUM)
Edit edit: u/Crunchybunch00 : "Aggrend tweeted in Oct 2025 with a picture of Scarlet Enclave signed by (presumably) all the devs who worked on it (minus Holly)."

Screw using C+ as a chance to modernize classic.
Double the jank.

It's always been "more elves" and never these original staples from the Warcraft 3 games. Every additional wave of adding allied races somehow skips them.
Marketing decisions always just defaults to void-like elves, scaly dragonoids, more elves, Vulpera, and re-skinned Diaper-Gnomes. But the Night-elves and Horde are missing their true long-term allies every since the beginning. The Furbolgs fought alongside the Night Elves to bring down Archimonde. The Stonemaul were brought back into Thrall's Horde by Rexxar (their new anointed clan leader).
Can the dream that we'll be able to play these deep-lore established races ever finally come true in some season, version, or patch of Classic WoW? One day.... this travesty may finally be corrected.

I think people are too obsessed with the idea that classic+ needs to release perfect with perfect balancing, perfect systems, perfect content. At the end of the day, most people are wanting a classic style MMORPG without an end. Will they fuck up some elements? surely. The important part is how they approach to fix issues.

I think it will. With this absolute legend and his bear making a return appearance.
Either that or the trailer will be very much in the spirit of the original 2004 cinematic, just showing different races and classes doing their thing, instead of a story with specific characters.

Please help me find this purged YouTube video that kicked off the macro/bindings vs. click debate. It had led Zeppelin fire and ice music.

Most Zones in classic are walled in by mountains.
It looks a bit silly. Sometimes it makes sense (Northern Kalimdor), but why is Northern Eastern Kingdoms so segregated. The human starting regions all have river separation. They look lovely. I assume Kalimdor relies on this so much because of the games original production.
Flatten out some of the silly mountain borders. Add sensible texturing. Maybe plonk a building or two on there and some trees
!!!new content!!!

They had units in Warcraft 3 wielding flails, they have usable flails on Diablo 2 and they also started adding some in retail. Maybe they have the ability to make them in Classic too

I love fishing, recently got 70 and thought i'd make bank for my epic flyer by fishing. When i was skilling up Zangarmarsh was great, lots of pools and different locations to fish, no competition it felt like. But man Terokkar and Nagrand i can never find any pools, i'll fly around for an hour and have 4-5 pools.
Today i woke up early and couldn't sleep so i got up, made some coffee, decided to do some rounds of fishing before work. And even at this hour there's not a single pool around. I don't remember fishing ever being popular, what happen?
