My old kitty Boof needed to be shaved and when he came home my other cat Puss was not having any of it. She was hissing at this stranger in her house for like 3 weeks!
Thank you. He made it to 18 which is a really good innings but you’re never really ready for it. Boof died about 10yo ago - he had cancer and only made it to 11. He was a very fluffy boy and would go hard on the headbutts, that’s why his name was Boof 🥰🤣
They don't just look different, they smell different after shaving them like this. To the other cat, he's completely unrecognizable right now. My long-haired boys fight all the time right after they get shaved because they don't recognize each other.
