Looking for a mechanic that presses bushings

Hey,

I was curious if anyone knows a mechanic/shop that will press in bushings to a knuckle on a tesla model 3. Trying to avoid throwing out a knuckle when only one bushing went bad on me. If anyone knows of someone that would be great.

You could probably go to part source and rent a ball joint remover/installer tool if you’re in a pinch. It’s basically a giant C clamp

I looked at that but the knuckle on this car is at a weird angle to remove the upper ball joint bushing. Almost like I would need to cut a part of the press itself. Strange design

Sorry, I just read some of your replies with the uniqueness of the Tesla knuckle. Mine was not a Tesla and I brought the knuckle to them, but it may still be worth your time to give them a call. They've also been good about directing me to other mechanics who they use for some specialized work.

Isn't Tesla still trying to sue the pants off anyone why tries to fix their own cars?

I know they did that to a guy in the states who was making video tutorials on how to rebuild them a few years ago

Nope you can do your own maintenance. Their service manual is actually way more detailed that I thought it would be. The only problem is that to press the bushing, tesla has a damn custom press that's $350 to match the weird angles of their knuckle. I was hoping that a local mechanic might actually have one
