Discussion/আলোচনা Hindustani media at it again
This post is straight up LIES. It's not even like exaggerated claims or anything, it's blatant lies.
Indian right wing makes every Hindu death a communal matter. It's bread and butter for them. Seriously? How is the religion relevant in this? 13 million Hindus live in a country of 170 mil. Of course there will be murders between people or sadly family kilings. Yes, some communal tensions are there but most hindus aren't killed for their religion!
Not only that, news reports show that the accused PERPETRATORS Mugdho and Siddhartha were both Hindu. That already doesn't make any sense. The poster claims Islamists did it and the girl was Raped, burned, acid etc. and also about the fake 12 year old son or "him getting circumcised". There's no claims of all of these happening. None. Killers haven't got any links to any of these.
The Right wing Hindutva IT cell of India is at its max capacity to fracture relationships and try to cause Hindus to rebel against other religions by spreading misinformation. He then blames the leftists for whatever reason and almost Every sentence has the word Hindu in it.
Please, report these types of posts, always verify sources and DON'T engage with them if possible

You guys should see Indian subreddits. It’s 95% false Islamic, Pakistani, Bangladeshi stories. Most of it has anything to do with India! Their obsession is crazy, no doubt fueled by BJP. But even in BD, there’s so much anti India hate. Not sure where all this hate will lead to other than being used for political parties.
If only they focused on improving the country instead.
•
u/Silent-Nature864 জুতা চোর 12d ago
Bangladesh's hate towards India is a reaction. It's not because of religion. I literally grew up at a time when our countrymen were pro India by majority. Literally 10-12 years ago if you asked a bangladeshi what would they choose Pakistan or India. Majority would say India. But because of their hegemony and their narrative that we have to literally c*ck our country to them, the views have completely reversed. And it changed for the good. I don't like Pakistan in general but India is the biggest security threat we face today.
•
u/BalFalai 12d ago
>I literally grew up at a time when our countrymen were pro India by majority
THIS! THIS!. i remember the time when in 2011 my entire village home was rooting for India to win the WC after Bangladesh. a decade later and the situation is completely the opposite.
Indians are discount israelis.

•
u/Fancy_Chicken_1494 11d ago
indians do that with bd too? yalls hatred for Bangladeshi Bengalis has way more historic weight and is rooted in racism, colorism and casteism. go to twitter and browse the top slur terms youve coined for BD since 19th century and read all the vile shit you people say and draw about us 40 times per hour before you come shamelessly pointing the victimhood finger.
•
u/slolucidly 11d ago
Atleast y'all people can see the hate and say something about it. Y'all put out hateposts on tiktok where our people cant even defend themselves. All those AI slop videos and pictures, most of them are generated by our neighbours.
You talk about racism when your extremists hate us because we are a hindu majority country.
How's it fair that anything we say is us displaying victimhood whereas whatever you say is a genuine discrimination.
And don't even compare who gets more hate when we know the obvious. And majority of its done by your people.

I get it, it's in the Indian media's nature to spit these bullshit. I don't even care about the Indians, but all I want is to see some people from our Hindu community to raise some voise against endless propaganda false news of Indian media. Their silence is deafening. I would be happy to be proven wrong, but their silence only fuels these news.
•
u/Blueberry784 12d ago
While accurate news matters, expecting Bangladeshi Hindus to focus on policing foreign media misses the point. When a minority community is dealing with actual safety threats, their energy is obviously going to go toward their own survival and rights, not correcting foreign headlines. Plus, if the goal is really to stop harmful rhetoric, why isn't that same energy used to call out the huge Islamist FB pages that post derogatory stuff and incite hatred against Hindus every day? Fixing real world hate on the ground should matter way more than debating media coverage.
•
u/nfj97 12d ago
Does saying I hope our Hindu community speak out against outrageous false claims means I support the all outrageous "Islamist" pages? Peek whataboutism
•
u/Blueberry784 12d ago
It’s not whataboutism to point out real-world threats. Expecting a minority community to prioritize foreign media coverage while local pages actively incite hate against them isn't just a double standard, it’s completely out of touch with their safety
•
u/nfj97 12d ago
I'm not saying they should debunk all the news, all I am saying some level of propaganda news against your own country should be at least contested by them vocally but I guess this was enough for you to get triggered and bring islamists
•
u/Blueberry784 12d ago
Calling it "getting triggered" is the exact response i expected. And why wouldn't I bring up the Islamists? They are the ones actively spreading hate and driving real-world threats against Hindus on the ground. Expecting a minority community to act as unpaid PR to defend the country's image, while ignoring the very people threatening their safety, is a massive double standard.
•
u/tarzansjaney 12d ago
Are you actively standing up against those Islamist pages? Or anything else that doesn't directly concern you?
•
u/BalFalai 12d ago
u didnt make an unreasonable point. i almost agree with it. but here is a perspective.
jewish voice for peace wouldnt have existed if anti-zionist jews carried this same thought process. thank god they dont and the world knows that all jews arent zionists.
they do it at the cost of being called "self hating jews" by their own famillies often, who have a weird allegiance to Israel than the nations they were born in.
Thanks to them, the largest pro palestinian rallies are organized in nations where criticizing israel is considered a taboo. Many faced police brutality. arrest and torture too (now dont stretch it and say im calling the Hindu Bangladeshis to jump the fence over and protest in india against india. no lol.)
if my communal identity of being a muslim is used by ISIS or any other such group to justify hateful actions, propaganda to incite violence then i do have a shared responsibility to call it out. Its always a very small crowd with the largest reach, harming a bigger community with their actions and voices.
My hesitation to scrutinize such groups says a lot about me. my radio silence would scream about my thought process even more, especially when im active on my socials like any other person.
"lol ei isis taleban je normal manush martese koyta muslim etare criticize korse?" is this an unreasonable question to ask or think about? no it isnt. its necessary to speak against them. especially at time when many seem to celebrate their existence.

u/Useful-Extreme-4053 বিপ্লবী 🚩 11d ago
If you spread hatred against Jews in Europe, you will be arrested.
But in Bangladesh, Islamists spread hatred on daily basis.
You see Jews taking stands against Israel because they are safe in Europe. If Jews were under oppression in Europe (for example getting burned alive by like Dipu who was accused of deragatory remarks about Islam) , you would not have seen any Jewish voice for peace.
•
u/BalFalai 11d ago
Jewish voice for peace works in USA only for now.
Majority of jews wont say they feel safe actually. Hence the "a safe land for jews = israel" thing exists in the first place. Almost all of them have famillies in israel due to the ancestral rights policies. Historically jews were persecuted a lot more in christian western and central europe than any other place.
However the current generation of these Jewish famillies are rebellious to zionism.
Anti zionist jews today blame israel for the anti semitism they have to face everywhere and rightfully so. israels hasbara narratives are simple. "hey all jews are zionists and by birth israelis and they represent everything israel does".
These anti zionists jews are, once again considered outcasts by their own family and community now. " self hating jews" is what they call them. And its this peer pressure from your own community is what stops many educated and patriotic hindu individuals from calling out indians as well. Its the same peer pressure, bullying and harassment a muslim would find himself dealing with if he criticized taleban against bangus.
If you are at least 20+ yrs old, u too shouldve seen a phase where Bangladesh wasnt no where near as anti india as it is today. The same people who had no significant opinions or positive opinions have shifted to leaning or fully negative. What happened in india in the last decade or so? Hint : has to do with who they elected.
I dont disagree that hindus in our country suffer. And we shouldve done better as the majority.
But why would someone from the majority even waste an ounce of his energy when he sees that the people he thinks requires safety, are actually enjoying the indian propaganda pieces that theres a Hindu genocide/holocaust in here? Remains silent after bragging to the internet that the hindu family was definitely killed by a muslim and then absolute radio silence after the two suspects came out to be religiously Hindu?
How many progrom like situations occured in Bangladesh Against hindus just because they were hindus after our independence? Most of the acts of violences occured in the rural spaces where evidences always suggested that the motives were land ownership instead of religion. A thing that occurs between every single bap chacha of Bangladeshi famillies too. Where are the exact statistical outliers?
This was a hard to swallow pill for me to take as i grew up but Just like zionists, many hindus here have their alleigance elsewhere.
We need to stop religious hatred against them sure but lets not argue on bad faith that they too shouldnt call out the propagandas used on their names.
•
u/Useful-Extreme-4053 বিপ্লবী 🚩 7d ago
If you are at least 30+ years old, you would know that during 2002, Bangladeshi radical Muslim groups killed hindus and raped Hindu women and looted their businesses. It was in revenge of babri masjids demolition in India.
I have seen multiple atrocities and mobs against in last 20 years. See in the link below. Its a data for 2013 only.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Bangladesh_anti-Hindu_violence
You are definitely a liar or don't live in Bangladesh as you don't know anything.
"Bangladeshi hindus are consuming indian propaganda " is jamati propaganda of this time.
There was not any phase where Bangladesh was not anti india. The anti india mindset that many jamatis possessed are living in bd from 1971.
In case of four murder case I would say, All suspects are innocent until proven guilty. And we are seeing the drama unfolding everyday. Police destroyed evidence in that room by themselves.

My mom is a conservative hijab abaya wearing Muslim woman, and she goes to India often. My dad has been many times as well for extended periods. I’ve been to India too, Muslims are extremely visible and are doing fine. Sure there may be one off cases of prejudice which is understandable in a country of 1 billion people, but the same can be said towards the hate faced by bd Hindus. All in all, South Asian media is filled with propaganda and agendas and it’s better to simply go and experience it yourself.
•
u/Street-Image-8894 8d ago
Indian one isn't wrong. Why do we keep forgetting india is a big country with states bigger than countries out there? Obviously a muslim will more likely be safe in Kerala or Tamil Nadu than a muslim will be in Utter Pradesh or Bihar. You have to look into states rather than India as whole. And Bangladesh is literally the size of a state in India so it should be judged just like that.

More than 700,000 acres of land once owned by Hindu families in East Pakistan were taken under enemy properties laws and political regimes after the country became Bangladesh. According to several historical analyses of the Vested Property Act and its implementation, different political parties benefited from the confiscation of Hindu-owned land over decades.Researchers have estimated that the Awami League, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and now led by Sheikh Hasina, was responsible for around 44% of the land appropriations; the BNP for about 32%; Jatiya Party for about 6%; and Jamaat-e-Islami for about 5%.Although these parties often oppose each other politically, when it came to seizing Hindu property, their actions frequently aligned. Many reports also document episodes of violence and intimidation against Hindu minorities, showing that political rivalry did not prevent coordinated participation in discriminatory practices.
My question how you justify this? The right-wing Muslims one very old trick is to create the environment of threats and fear so that minorities can flee to India.
Moreover, I am a native Hindu from keraniganj,Dhaka. I hear always regardless the political parties, " you Hindu guys just vote for us, why do you need to participate into the political activities!? " So, can you imagine how even my political participation right has been confiscated by the implied threatening and fear!?
•
u/Silent-Nature864 জুতা চোর 12d ago
The funniest part is that no political group stole Hindu land morevthan Awami league
•
u/High1Tower 12d ago
And it is natural because Sheikh mujibor just renamed the enemy property law into vested property law by the presidential ordnance in 1974. And in 1980 Zia Ur Rahman made it formal law. So that the local leaders of their parties can enjoy the Hindu properties.
